Hey everyone, here is my next piece. Fluffy little fox. This one measures 20x30 inches and was done on 100% cotton paper. It took about 50 hours from start to finish.

Hello C Fiddler Art, this is an amazing piece. the way that you layered to pencil strokes to create the dimension in the fox's fur is fantastic. One of my favorite parts of the video was the shadowing that created the impression of grass in the background. truly amazing stuff. Blessings

Bro, do you use an exacto knife to do hair details and then go in with the shading and extra details? If that's what u did in this drawing then ima have to start doing it because it looks so good.

I do not use fixative on any of my pieces anymore. Ive had a couple bad experiences with fixative, so to me its not worth it. You just need to be careful handling it when its finished.

I have a reference photo I use. I don't trace, I use a grid for accuracy :)

Neato. Lay down the charcoal and erase out the fur? Pretty cool. Edit: Or not. Hard to tell from the speed of the time lapse. Regardless, an exercise in patience.

Thanks, watched and left a comment. It's similar to a rubbing with charcoal. I like it and like you learned from another on RU-vid. I am personally trying to figure out how to record and make my own time lapse and instructional videos. Your method works well and you are mastering it! Good job and thanks for the reply! I feel I must leave another reply. I am not being flippant with what I said. I see the slight erasing on top of what you lay down. By this I mean your nuance is right where it should be. I like the idea of hyperrealsm but I like the wide strokes myself. I'm going to give this a go at some point because you make it look so fun. I hate the mess of charcoal but you are making me want to return. Thank you, I wish the best in your endeavors. Your prices seem right and I am sure you will get some orders.
