WOW alot of hate for the v6 Camaro lol most of you drive corollas i have a v6 cuz that all i could afford the car does not have much power i agree but hey who cares it's still my v6 and im gonna make it the fastest v6 and the best looking v6 that i can make it! lol

Yep. 323 horses in my V6 is plenty. The SS is faster but a 500 dollar gas bill every month is not worth it.

Yup i can definetly feel a difference good gain and the wheels spinout from first to second n it makes my cai sound different n whistle more louder through the hood worth it two thumbs up

Times have changed, V6 in the 6th generation Camaro-- 0 to 60 5.0 seconds ,quarter mile 13.5 seconds, with some You Tubers posting 4.8 seconds to 60.

I prefer tuning with a laptop because not all cars even the same models are identical. Hypertech does preloaded tunes but on for some cars, you won’t know how much detonation is going on.

My 2011 V6 Camaro stick shift runs 13.8s in the 1/4mile with just and exhaust and intake upgrade. The better they breath the better they run. May get a tune and headers after the warranty is out.

I bought one for my 2015 Camaro 2ss & it woke it up, this product works, I have a full cat back, jet throttle body, cold air intake, & even after those mods it wouldn't burn rubber, after I installed a tune, eliminated fly by wire stock settings & shift points & firmness, it will smoke the rears, great product......

jetbtkng I'm not even going to argue with you cuz you're that fucking dumb I got one thing to say ..... you do know cars come limited by the tire rating right ? Not the motor ...... so when I bought the 20 inch rims with pirellis my at comes stock from gm with the same limiter as any camaro that comes with the stock pirellis and I can tell you that's fact you goof because if you buy the pirellis after the fact gm WILL change the limiter without voiding your warranty because speed limiters have to do with your tire rating you fucking idiot how's that "carology" you need to go out in the real world and do things for yourself instead of hiring people to build your car and do all the work for you because clearly you have no idea wtf your talking about

jetbtkng and if you put all those aftermarket parts on without a tune how the fuck does the motor know it has bolt on parts on ?!??!??!? What's your carology say about that. Pretty sure your car isn't a genie that knows when it gets a different exhaust or cold air put on it ..... yeah you know what's up though

Great question Steve! The stock spark and fuel curves were already optimized for maximum performance at wide open throttle. No tweaks to add more spark or lean out the mixture provided any additional horsepower. This is where most tuners would call it a day and move on to the next car. We explored the entire calibration to find the few hundred parameters that actually could be tweaked to change the performance of the engine. This took almost 900 full throttle dyno pulls and over a month for us to find the absolute maximum performance along with adjustable features that would be useful to the people who drive these cars. The extensive tuning done at wide open throttle did indeed uncover more power. Our automatic transmission equipped car put down a respectable 274HP baseline with the factory tune. With the engine rated at 312bHP at the crank that equates to only a 12% loss which shows just how efficient these cars really are at putting that horsepower to the ground. The Hypertech tune tacked on an additional +5HP, which put the peak at 279HP to the wheels. Above 5000RPM the gains average about +4HP which makes the car feel a lot stronger when you accelerate towards redline. Along with the top end horsepower gains, our tune gained an average of almost 10Ft-Lbs below 4000RPM with a peak of +13Ft-Lbs of torque at 3750RPM. These power gains at wide open throttle carry over into the part throttle area which is a great benefit since that’s where you really spend most of your driving time (unfortunately!). The added torque during normal driving gives an even better throttle response, and because the engine is running more efficient, accelerating at normal speeds takes just a bit less throttle. Less throttle can lead to improved fuel economy.

+HypertechTuning Well one thing I know for sure is you can't feel 4 HP or 10 Ft lbs. I do agree that those numbers do help it run more efficiently... but your benefit would be... maybe... 1 MPG more not a feeling of more power. I also agree these cars are getting more efficient coming out of the factories these days. (thank goodness) Yet the question still remains... is it worth paying $300 for 1 MPG? (it would take 10 years to pay for it self.) Realize... I'm not bashing Hypertech... I have had several Hypertech programmers for different cars and I have been thrilled with MOST of my experiences with Hypertech (except for my 2010 Dodge Ram) They worked great on my Chevy Z71 I got 3 to even 4 more MPG's after my lift and 35" tires, but it gave me I believe 20 extra HP and 30 Ft lbs. NOT 4 HP and 10 Ft lbs. That's literally 3 to 4 times as much power. I think that's worth the money... but for just 4HP and 10 Ft lbs? I'm just not sold on it yet.

Cold air intake, long tube headers. You be pushing 350 hp. Faster than a v8 350. They make these camaro v6 different. You will be surprise

im not disagreeing about what your saying about the camaro or bmw....but before you said your bmw had 260 horsepower and now your saying it is 260 bhp. im confused on what your trying to say man.....horse to the crank is different than horse to the tires....so which is it your trying to say...?

I asked my buddy at the dealer and told me if I use the Hypertech on 2011 camaro that the dealer will find out and void my warranty, even if you set it back to default. . . is that true?

01max001 Depending on how long its been since you got your car from the dealership or how much you've driven it, for example some warranty policies only cover up to 12,000 miles after purchase but if it has been longer than 2 years or atleast 20k miles you should be good to do what you want to do internally to your car and not void the warranty, hope this helped.

+Shimzon That made no sense what's so ever!!! 1 minute you are talking the dealership may only cover 12,000 mile then you said after 20,000 miles you should be good to go. ( that would mean it's not under a warranty then)

Sure! I can tell you from driving the Camaro stock vs tuned that the Hypertech tune is a major difference. We tuned at wide open throttle and blended those performance gains into the normal driving area as well. What you'll notice first is that the engine is smoother and quieter with the Hypertech tune when you drive around. It's a small difference, but when it's you're daily driver you'll notice it immediately. If you have an air intake, we have 15 air intake tuning options to choose from to maximize the gains it provides. Also, we noticed that some air intakes are louder at idle, so adjusting the idle RPM can help that. You can lower down 100RPM or up 200RPM is 50RPM increments, so you should be able to find the sweet spot. This engine is very well tuned from the factory, so the performance gains we got with our tunes is impressive. You can feel the extra torque down low, and the engine just pulls smoother to redline than the factory tune. Raise the rev limiter and shift points up 200RPM and increase the shift firmness to 50% and you'll be amazed how much better it feels when you get on it. All of these parameters are fully adjustable, and you can combine any of them however you wish to make the tune that's right for you. You get to dial it in, not just settle for what you get. That's a huge benefit to getting the Hypertech Power Programmer compared to a custom tune or simple over the internet tune.

@@williambeecham9821 Our latest Power Programmer is Spectrum, and that part number is 3000. If you live in California, you will need part number 3050. Both have the same tunes and features. Sorry I didn't clarify that earlier.

I will be installing a Longtube header on my 2010 camaro v6. one issue on doing so is the "check engine" getting off due to change on emission reading. can this "Hypertech Tuning" thing can get rid of the "Check Engine"?

@@rogeringram9989 Nice down grade! I'd be returning that...Stuff to your supplier, with some choice words. I know it's not fun to undo something that's supposed to be an "improvement " but clearly it's not. Try Hypertech & K&N, works like a champ & it is adjustable to your personal likes & dislikes. I have plenty of power on demand. Not sure of my top speed. To busy watching the track @ Watkins Glen when I'm up to speed.

i dont agree with the other 2 comments. but say this ad was a total waste of time, though it is relevant to me (unlike other 2 guys), this is just plain fuck stupid. you dont need a tiny gadget (probably overpriced) to make the unnecessary adjustments. the settings that control the rev limit or torque are critical to the life of the motor and not meant to be fucked with take this to heart, how can these people say whats best for your modifications if they aren't even the ones who made them?
