I hate how no one ever talks about being thin or skinny with hypothyroidism. Everything is always about losing weight but what if you’re to skinny have a hard time gaining weight 🤯

Symptoms of hyperthyroidism given are as follows: Heat sensitivity ( heat intolerance) Increased appetite Bowel habit changes- diarrhoea ( increased frequency of stools) Weight loss Anxiety nervousness Tremors shaky hands Excessive Sweating Insomnia, fatigue Weakness muscular Menstrual irregularities Depression, dementia - old patients Tachycardia - arrythmia and atrial fibrillation Brisk reflexes Hypertension and widened pulse pressure Enlarged thyroid gland (goitre) Syncope Orbital pain tearing eyelid retraction bulged eyes Thiamine deficiency Altered mental status Fever Muscle wasting and weakness Nausea and vomiting Cardiogenic shock Diarrhoea. Thanks so much for the info! I've went from 240 to 159, hand tremors ,shaking feelings, get sick feeling puking about 2 or 3 times a day. Eyes hurt, right eye went blurring from apparently cholesterol clogging veins in it. High BP and cholesterol. Among many other signs. Went to the eye doctor, and family doctor this week. Test came back that my thyroid is all messed up. Going back this week for more blood work, and there sending me to a thyroid specialist for testing and chest X rays. I'm only 38, this is scary. Thanks again, I feel much more educated and "prepared" for upcoming doctor information. From stuff I Been researching on my own, maybe Graves disease?

I have almost all of the sign and symptoms 😢 except for bulging eyes... only excessive tearing. I am on medication and doing blood works every week and once a month and my doctor sees improvement on my t3 results..and next week is my schedule for nuclear test, praying that all will goes well and hoping for a full recovery from hyperthyroidism. Everyday is not easy.... it's always a struggle especially for anxiety and depression.. my hand tremors and confusion is affecting my job..😔

Explained very well , I had all those symptoms and conditions to the Tee , my thyroid levels got put back into check with medication , and and started producing normal hormone levels , but one other thing I noticed is that my eyebrows start to thin out to almost disappearing and the same thing with my eye lashes , then I know hand tremors and other symptoms will start to occur , however , I started taking a B12 supplement , 500 mcg , and that stopped the syncope , but I do still feel like I want to pass out sometime , but it's just the feeling , but when that happens I take several deep breaths , hold them 5 seconds and then release them very slowly , and the passing out feeling goes away .

Got these symptoms from taking my thyroid medication whilst not having regular level checkups. Turns out my thyroid levels are coming back up and by taking my medication I’m experiencing the symptoms of hyperthyroidism

I have episodes of extreme anxiety, dizziness, sweating and increased heart rate if I eat a meal in the afternoon. It never happens after I eat breakfast or after dinner. Only in the afternoon. Are these symptoms explainable?

I was diagnosed with graves 2 years ago. I have all the symptoms except for bulgy eyes (thank god) . I also had almost permanent psychosis . Thyroid Storm almost killed me . Hang in there . I'm currently trying to balance out my life. Taking pills and finding that balance sucks, but also learning to stay clear from certain foods that aggravate the thyroid is hard too . The thyroid is scary when it's trying to kill you.

I literally just found out that this is exactly all my symptoms and I was just diagnosed as being depressed... which I am/was... this got missed due to the fact that I'm male.. it gets overlooked and misdiagnosed in men. My husband has most of these. His thyroid number was 1.1 so the doctor didn’t think he could have hyper thyroid but he has a almost all of these symptoms except the sweating. Also he has a large thyroid nodule that the doctor said says needs to be surgically removed, but it has nothing to do with any of the symptoms?

The eyeballs 👀 have bulged out I don't know whether she can even close them.😭😭😭😭 To make matters worse she lost her job with covid. A single mother of a 12year boy. She's complaining of diarrhoea. Hi I’m a middle aged female from Australia and have recently been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and enlarged red blood cells. This morning before I ate I experienced middle chest pains which still have not gone away. Is this related to the undeactive thyroid?

I had a blood test recently and it came back as an overactive thyroid, I weigh 65kg as an adult male and I do not sleep… I literally have to drink in order to zone out and even then it’s a struggle, my stomach constantly makes fart noises throughout the day and it’s embarrassing because you feel like people misunderstand it for me letting one off

I've been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism but the only symptoms i have are an upset digestive system and bouts of anxiety. My throat is sore but i think that's reflux or post nasal drip. Had both a while. I'm not eating a lot and losing about 1lb a week. So not weight loss that's abnormal. Have i actually got hyperthyroidism. Supposed to start some tablets tomorrow.

The first symptom, heat, it's somewhat close to what I'm feeling, each time I walk or play basketball my face gets as red as a tomatoe, lab results show a very low TSH so I think I will have to reduce levothyroxine dosage.

I’m 31 was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism when I was 26. Haven’t been able to regulate my t3&t4 levels yet my weight loss is up and down I’ll go from 125-130 to 115 in a matter of a few weeks. I hate it. I hate the PTU it make me nauseous and less energized and I feel sick to my stomach after taking it. I rather the methimazole, I’m not in my second pregnancy while suffering from hyperthyroidism and I always fear for my unborn child with these meds I’m taking. My fist burn was born perfectly fine but now that i faced a thyroid storm right before I found out I was pregnant I’m a little nervous about the side effects of this PTU, I discontinue it once I’m 12weeks I’m gonna stop at 11 weeks just in case. I just want it removed.

I've been through the treatments. I've had radioactive iodine. 10 years later I feel like a nut case. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Not sure if I should reduce thyroxine. I feel terrible.

I have congenital hypothyroidism which means that am thin and i get thinner if i have a chemical or hormonal imbalance. And i am sensitive to extreme temperatures especially cold. Not hot.

The leg thing in beriberi disease is horrendous. It feels like someone has a metal clamp around the bottom half of legs sometimes. I thought I had died at one point because of all the sensations. Anyone out there who has a duplicate or similar NHS number or has these symptoms and hasn't the correct blood test results keep fighting .I had to fight to get mine.

I had just about every symptom other than weight loss. I am now on methimazole , which had kept my other symptoms at bay somewhat other than my eyes, and had made me gain 20 unwanted pounds. Thoughts and suggestions on how to lose the weight? There isn’t much out there for HYPERthryoid issues.

I have hyperthyroidism and I absolutely have not one single symptom that you covered on this video.

what matters is you are alive. most of these systoms are easily seen from many people. Just because your thyroid either produces more hormones or less. I've been anxious before thinkinh I have these as I never consulted a doctor but I do have all the signs of hyperthyroidism. Now going back to videos like these again as I check myself and realize it's okay rather than taking medications to suppress the thyroid which could lead to a severe disease like kidney failure. There's nothing wrong whether you are hyper or hypothyroid. For years people keep pointing out that I'm anboxiously too thin. Yknow what, it's better than having a chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension or even cancer. So m okay because I didn't choose to have hyperrhyroidism. My body malfunctioned on its own but what I can do is to lessen my anxiety and my diet to not fall into the category of being diabetic, CKD, high blood or a cancer patient because these diseases can be prevented but my thyroid is like that so m just gonna live a healthy lifestyle rather than suppress it witg medications P.S. I still struggle with these symptons of weighr loss, muscle weakness, anxiety, insomnia no katter how I fix my lifestyke with food and exercise. Trust me I tried even to the point of drinking protein supplements and working out to gain muscles but life is like that. Just accept what your body has given you and try to avoid diseases you can avoid. I'm clean and don't drink alcohol, no drugs, not smoking and not even taking ang medications That's better than worrying constantly how to stop a malfunctioning thyroid

I have been hypo for 5-6 years. Lab test last week said I was hyper. I stopped taking my compounded med. I was so weak and tired. Looked terrible. Started feeling better after about 5 days of not taking a thyroid pill. My temp has come down still a bit high. Normal is 36.2 and it was 38.5. Its 37 @ 10:30 at night. My Dr makes phone appt. My appt. for him to advise me on what to do isn't until July 4th. This isn't my only medical issue. We have a shortage of Drs here in Kelowna BC but when he finally calls what would you advise me to say to him. Looking for a new Dr.

Been on Synthroid for hypothyroidism for 20 years. Tsh levels well balanced at around a tsh of 1.5. Menopause hit this year, and suddenly I have become severely hyperthyroid. Tsh was .05 at first bloodwork. Was getting constant pins & needles in arms and legs, and extremely tired, and yes hot all the time. Attributed these symptoms to menopause at first so not sure how long I was hyper for as it had been at least 6 months since my previous bloodwork. Doc lowered my Synthroid dose, and did more bloodwork after 6 weeks. Still hyper at .22 but better. Lowered dose again. Checking back again after 6 weeks. Really hoping to get this sorted out soon because I am experiencing constant aching legs now, and I am worried that it may be Myopathy. Ny legs ache night and day. I am taking Tylenol for the pain every day. Strange thing is though that I did not lose weight. I actually gained weight. I was definitely eating more, and I think I was too tired and in discomfort to do any exercise.
