Assuming you're officially qualified... I literally walked into shops and asked the people in the shops if they wanted to be hypnotised. I had friends ask people they worked with if they were interested. I did 5 free sessions for 'friends of friends' and they all had such success that I was booked solid on word of mouth advertising for months. As for books... I would probably start with this one hypnosis.edu/books/hypnotism-manual

Training to be a counsellor, thinking about hypnosis as a complimentary modality to counselling. Would love your candid recommendations for credible hypnotherapy trainers in Oz. P.s., love the military look.. 🎶women in uniform...

Hypnotherapy seems like a worthy career to pursue and if I wasn't the shy type I would really think about it. luckily for me, I have fallen in love with food and know being a dietitian is the thing for me. I get to help people and still not run the show. I like that, at least I will like being a dietitian when I'm done studying to be one. Well, Alicia, you make a great hypnotist and a wonderful human being. I'm glad you found your calling :)

So nice that you found what you love and that you have the option of being employed by someone else to do it! :)

@alicia fairclough, thanks for such helpful opinion. I am considering whether or not to take up a course as part time hypnotherapist as I am currently a corporate sales person. When you mention, " you might enjoy helping many people but you might not enjoy running business on your own", would you say that if I were to consider taking a certificate to be a part time hypnotherapist for saving retirement funds , self-employed would only be making money? (im in a dilemma )

Also, would be nice to see live youtube hypnosis session. And a question: can you hypnose people who arent as good with english? Since all session listening to your voice in important and translating words in mind destroys all the focusing.

P.S.S. Have you ever heard the song "Down Under" by Men At Work? I love that jam and I imagine you dancing to it awesomely for an intro!!! (I don't know why these thoughts, I just don't need to venture THAT far in my mind to find out haha)

Alicia, i have just purchased your hypnosis audio on social anxiety -- i can happily report it is a most marvelous product. I have 3 questions I'd like to ask not necessarily associated with the audio i purchased, but the first one I 'd like to ask is how may session (per day/month) should i listen to the program? 2. as someone, who is interested in hypnosis as a career or at least another tool (as I'd like to be a coach, rather than just a hypnotherapist) is NLP something a necessary model to learn as well? 3. I appreciate you're in Australia, and I'm based the UK, but during your travels (no pun intended) is there any UK based training that you may know and could recommend? (or point me in the right direction of how/where to look?) thanks, i appreciate this is a lot to ask. Rob. P.S Your hypnosis Audio is so good, i really do look forward to listen as i can. Your Aussie accent is hypnotic (no pun intended?)

Thanks so much. I'm really glad you've been enjoying the recording (it's one of my favourites) :) In answer to your questions... 1. As often as you like. There is no harm in listening regularly other than you might get bored with it. On the other hand, some people listen regularly because they find great comfort from listening to something so familiar. It's entirely up to you. 2. Also entirely up to you. Personally I have no interest in NLP and staying away hasn't had any impact on my career but you may decide it's something you would like to pursue. 3. I'm not familiar at all with courses in the UK. Best to just start Googling :) Thanks for taking the time to comment and keep enjoying that audio :)

I know this is a late comment, but I feel as if I know more about hypnosis then most people and all I've done is watch youtube 🤣🤣🤣 Lecture after Lecture and a constant obsession has also left the subject kinda boring 😥😥. But what I'm saying is you don't have to spend money on this to be a great hypnotist (that's what I don't like about the community) Main thought: You can learn hypnosis in 10 minutes for free on the internet it's honestly not that hard just watch the right stuff and don't bother paying huge lump sums for meaningless classes

Lol you "know more about hypnosis than most people" - Cute

Alicia Fairclough tricking people to think they have to buy classes in order is retarded I've literally studied this shit for over 1000 hours and watched almost every lecture out there and read hundreds of articles, cute.
