Hmmmm, I'm from a very small town in New Zealand called Manaia, in the Taranaki Province. I don't think it's famous for anything, but it has a decent golf course that people like doing. I will also say that I'm from Yanchep in Western Australia as well though, simply because I've lived there for half my life too. Yanchep is known for the national park, which I did spend a lot of time running around in as a teenager. I think it's also known as one of the fastest growing suburbs in the area at the moment, as it's gotten a load of development and people moving in.

Long time fan of your work, from newfoundland and labrador (NL for short). Where do I begin with what we are known for? Our weather is pretty always cold no matter the time of year. Fish is plentiful around here. In fact it's practically our main food source lol, folk music is listened to all over the island. We have a tradition called (being screeched in) google it for more info. but it's basically a ceremony in which someone who isn't originally from the island becomes an honorary newfoundlander. We have our own slang as well but thats a whole 'nother story I could say some much more about this island but i dont want to be up all night lol Anyway thats Newfoundland for ya. As an islander though i have to end the comment like this "I'm a newfoundlander born and bread and i'll be one 'til I die. I'm proud to be an islander and heres the reason why, i'm free as the wind and the waves that wash the sand, there's no place I would rather be than here in newfoundland". NYC....Big Apple...the Big Apple designation replaced the Big Oyster as the oysters began to die off around its harbors. Hence that old phrase, 'the World is my Oyster. Think of it, back in the day the Rockefeller's were the rage...as was 'Oysters Rockefeller'...probably comparable to 'Beef Wellington' though I see that just as synchronous to New Zealand as London !
