@@turntogod4410 nah didn't pan out. Foot Dr. I visited refused to do it for some reason. I did get some doctor shouls insert at walmert for $50 and they really helped and made things much more comfortable.
@@turntogod4410 Really flat. Like pancakes. I got the red ones (Strongest). I was skeptical but it was a huge diference and walking/ standing feels so much better. It sufficed as a solution to the issue.

I had this surgery done on my left foot and after a few weeks of recovery I could actually walk in any pair of shoes I wanted, the shape of my foot looked perfect any one with foot fetish would have love it. I was standing up straight without thinking about it, my left knee didn't hurt anymore, essentially I was cured. Fast forward 4 years later I can't put the full weight on my foot as my toes turn to support the weight it hurts, the knee pain is back if I stand for more than 10 min the lower part of thigh just above the knee goes numb. I know I have to go back to a podiatrist but I moved and I don't know where to find a podiatrist that has experience doing this surgery and has long term patients that have had issues to know what went wrong and fix it.

@@TheIndiangooner I found the podiatrist that performed the surgery initially and removed the stent because my foot is pronating again it was no longer doing what is supposed to do. According to him the reason it stopped working is that the ligaments stretched around the implant, because of this the size he had installed was not doing the job anymore from keeping my foot from pronating so I would need to have a bigger implant put in. That was 3 years a go, I have not done the re-do surgery because after the last experience with this doctor I did not want to deal with the incompetence of the way his office is run. He prescribed orthotics to relieve some of the issues on my foot I called almost every week for 6 weeks waiting for a 3rd party that was supposed to take my feet's impressions to make them but never happened until the pain on my knee and plantar fasciitis got so bad I could not stand more than 10 minutes at a time or do any walking or physical activity I called them back 6 months after I had the surgery to remove the implant asking them about the referral to get my orthotics made and they were totally oblivious to why I hadn't received a call back it, that's when they gave me the number to the place and I called myself get orthotics made that I could get some sort of treatment for the hyperpronation they could have done the same 6 month earlier. Because of the pandemic it's on the back burner I will have to find another podiatrist that can do the surgery to get it redone, I have no idea when that is going to happen
@@geekbaritone please don't give up soon. I have found many blogs where positive outcomes have occured with resurgery as well. common observations both feet had to be done, and then the resurgery often included a reduced stent size and not an increased size. Please check Graham's recent videos where he educates doctors on how to do patient selection

Weight is not an indication or contra-indication for the procedure. When HyProCure is correctly positioned, the majority of the weight of the body is transferred through the articular facets from the talus onto the tarsal mechanism and there is minimal force transfer on the stent.
I read a long article on Frontiers which discussed Pediatric flat feet before being led to this video. First off I want to say the article in Frontiers is correct in that the flat feet do NOT correct themselves! Now I also want to say my parents either did not know what to do for me or could not afford. Considering Im 51 I find it doubtful that any good procedures were even available back then. I was born with flexible flat feet both feet right worse than left. I would have been asymptomatic as far as pain or so it seemed as this is a disillusionment just as the frontier article described. I have had various issues and pains that stem from flat feet pretty much my whole life but it really started getting much worse at 50 yrs old. I got one issue better only to now have nerve issues that are still undiagnosed and could easily be tarsal tunnel or a combo of things. What I want to know is why I was not offered this as an adult? I saw an orthopedic and got the orthotic crap comment. Finally somone (in the frontiers article for Graham acknowledged the, in my own words, the worthlessness of orthotics! Dont work, not realistic, and hurt. Not to mention expensive. Unfortunately Im certain I have other issues like gait etc...I have had lower back pain thru the yrs (thankfully not chronic), weird knee and hip events, shin splints at times varicose veins the large kind (and saline injections), knees are off to stand with feet straight hurts and is unnatural. Right leg bone either never was straight or grew twisting to the right. Not certain. Clearly my feet need help. Now at 51, hurting financially and have nerve issues please can anyone tell me why this has not even been suggested? The orthopedic advice I had was as useless as the orthotics suggested. Are the doctors in cahoots with the orthotic makers? Makes one wonder. You dont EVER hear of people really with flat feet having good results from orthotics. I think you actually have to have flat feet to understand them. Or maybe someone close to you like a child. Some God given heart for the flat footed, a reason to care. A regular ole orthopedic that gives you the ole orthotic comment well frankly they dont know, they dont care, and it makes me angry even at the suggestion. Im better off with no shoes at all! Seriously! Barefoot truly is my most comfortable. Ive tried to embrace being flat footed through the yrs. My foot size went from a 7 to an 8. I must have wide toe box and only loose socks lately. And boy the nerves...that is like wild erratic electricity running around. The nerves thankfully after about 6 mos is not as consistent or as intense but it is still there. Sensory only and not motor, Praise God! This could be a very long detailed topic in and of itself. After 6 mos of waiting for doctor, finally got a nerve conduction study and EMG (after already a brain MRI to rule out MS) here is the thing if the orthopedic had been more ept to discussing this with my feet I may not have suffered with nerve issues for the last 6 months. In the very least its possible. I have not had any doctor say to sit, stand or walk is best. It is assumed walking is best but that is an assumption from someone without flat feet. I do not know at my age if Im supposed to work standing, walking, driving or a combo. Im hoping my feet and nerves hold out. To Kenneth wise thank you as now I am going to look into this further. I do not want surgery being a female and the idea or being dependent is extremely disheartening but it seems to me this is what makes the most sense to try. If others have tried this particular procedure please chime in. Seems to me the patient should have at least the option. The orthopedic i saw flat out told me no to this type of procedure wanted basically to cut my whole foot open said yr or so to recover. And then basically put up with the pain and get orthotics in the meantime. His incompetence and arrogance angered me greatly. So I went home and found something on youtube that got me thru what i was dealing with. At the time a big knot on the first metatarsal. Can hardly tell it was there now and i did this on my own. A huge thank you to that youtube uploader! I went from couldn't walk 3 feet to now much better! I question all doctors. And frankly you should question all doctors. If the doctor is offended then that is their problem! I had much rather a doctor tell me that he doesn't know than to give me bad advice. Shoes did not used to have big blocks in them. Even the Nike shoe original was flat. The one who came up with blocks in the shoes did us all a disservice! It causes the foot to be lazy. So is going barefoot a solution no likely not as like I said in the beginning flat feet do not heal themselves from childhood or otherwise if you ask me. So Im thankful I made it this long on my feet and with any favor from above I will continue to walk, run, drive, dance, skip, etc...mobility is imperative to life. Also to be clear Im not against doctors! I just believe in most cases the body does heal itself and im not someone to want a bandaid. No drugs just the cure. In the case of flat feet maybe a little help from a wise caring doctor would be advised and appreciated.
hello doctor, i have flat feet that gives me pain on a daily basis on my feet, ankles, knees.. etc. i was wondering if HyProCure would not grind the bones away as it seems like it would from friction. also would one still be able to stay active, such as running, lifting heavy weights (dead lifts, squats), and participate in intense athletic events such as a triathlon or Tough Mudder. What is the longterm success rate of this today? I have seen some say it caused pain & they needed them removed. Is this the only surgical option for noninvasive procedures?
I had an ankle fusion done now another Orthopedist found out I need EOTTS/Hypocure done so it can help me liminaire the pain and also my Mis-alignment. Can that be done after an ankle fusion already been done

Hi Emma im thinking about this procedure i go to the gym and stuff and when i just wanted to know if i get this surgery will it feel like i have a screw in my ankle when i work calves or do squats ?

The left foot is pretty deformed & my podiatrists. one is a surgeon the other is not have came back said there is nothing to fix it but help it & that's Orthotics but I do not know if they actually knew about this. any help is appreciated.
I have extremely flat feet and was told that one possible option was corrective surgery. My ankles turn inward such that there is stress/pain on the inner ankles and what my doctor described as early arthritis. The realignment alluded to in the video and the website - is that the realignment that I would need in order to restore normal activity (full court basketball) pain free? On a side note - a couple other questions... In a worst case, is the procedure fully reversible? Also, after this procedure, presumably I'm not developing an artificial arch.. would I still need to wear my prescribed orthotics? Thanks to any experts out there!

I have a question about flat feet... So the thing is, I train in gym quiet a lot and i see really good results, but my feet are really horrible ( well one of them the left foot is so so badly flat ) and the other one is almost like it wouldn't be flat. I frequently have pain in my left legs calves and in my feet and I would like to ask if this surgery would affect my gym career or not and if I could still train my legs in gym, for example: Squats, leg press,etc and all these main exercises where it affects your feet. I really want to make my feet look normal and reduce all this pain in my legs and back, but at the same time I don't want to lose my gym career. One more question how long would it take to heal for the feet after the surgery and after the surgery how long would I need to wait/rest to get back into gym and do my leg exercises if this is possible after you make this surgery. No I decided to first try something else so I started training my body,gave a shot in training some fitness and weight lifting,so it got a bit better after walking more, running, stretching, extra bits of muscles started working, currently still on the decision if it would be worth doing or not.
Well Hyprocure will get you completely out of the sinking sand. You should get the surgery done and also do a lot of glute exercises afterwards. You will be pain free. I have mine scheduled on february 4th
I’ve had bilateral tarsal tunnel as well as problems with my peroneal nerves for nearly two years. I had 2 surgeries and they both failed. Is there an evidence hyprocure puts less stress on these nerves if you have a mild case of flat foot??
Will this work for people with connective tissue diseases that result in joint hypermobility? I’m SO tired of issues with my jaw, and feet, that I’m seeing a specialist for my TMJ issues today, and a follow-up with my podiatrist for my feet after an MSK ultrasound.

I can't believe this procedure was cleared by the FDA, it is the biggest scam of all time. I had this procedure done 3 years ago, I am now suffering from permanent nerve damage and arthritis due to the implant, which had to be removed. For anyone considering this: You'd be better off by strengthening, stretching your legs and feet with a good physical therapist than inserting screws and creating unnecessary trauma to your feet.
I had this procedure done, too. I have pain from it still and it has been almost a year. If I walk too much, then my ankle hurts. :( I'm going to the doctor to see what is going on. I hope I don't have permanent nerve damage. I want to run again. 😭
@Red Line no, I didn't. I think I might have to. We will see. I hope it doesn't cost much. It cost a lot for the implant and my insurance didn't want to pay, so I had to make the hospital pay most of it.
@@kari4638 You need to take it out ASAP, don't listen to whatever your surgeon is telling you to do, he's WRONG. If you don't take it out now, you'll be causing irreparable damage to your ankle bone structure and ligaments. I have never heard of a successful story with Hyprocure. Listen to your body, take it out if it hurts.
I have a 10 years old daughter who did the correction surgery and the pin got dis logged after a year! they had to pull it out. Is this normal ? Was it a doctor mistake or this could happen to anyone? Do you recommend redo the surgery again? please advise

Polopunk The operation needs a skilled experienced surgeon to select the right size and place it correctly. After that any complications that happen are usually because the patient didnt follow post surgery protocols.
Do not do this surgery. Loads of problems almost a decade after. Can't afford to take it out. I wish I could just get it taken out but I can not. I still have pain for years after this surgery. I can't play sports or walk for too long. I would take flat feet any day of the week instead of this surgery.
I was 11 years old and opted to go this route. I only did the right foot, and I gotta say. I am not a happy customer. I sprained my ankle once, and it was the most painful experience I ever had with HyProCure installed into my ankle. My foot could not twist in order to compensate for the force on my ankle. And it swelled immensely. I tried inserts as well, those are bunk. Just where flat shoes. Don't believe what these quacks tell you. You DO NOT NEED this corrective operations. What you need is to go out and walk on your own two feet and you will eventually adapt. My left foot used to be flat, and I started to become more active. It no longer hurts, and all I had to do was use my feet more. Avoid this surgery at all costs, please I urge you.

I know this comment is late but i did my feet a couple of months ago and i think i was too active too soon. So i think the screw popped out in one of my feet. How do i know if it did. And can i do anything to put it back in myself without seeing my foot doctor if its out?
