Turns out there actually is a way to open the pause menu without…y’know, pausing, where you have full access to all of your inventory. During Vah Medoh’s Divine Beast mission, Teba will take you up and just before you begin the attack, he will ask you if you need to prepare. If you hit that option, you can open up a full menu of your entire inventory; no limitations.
Heat in death mountain isn’t the same as say gerudo desert, so ice/blizzard rod doesn’t work. It’s it’s own special state, hence why it doesn’t follow the rules of the thermometer and just, ya know, makes it burst into flames
I just found out something. During the fight with Vah Medoh, you can actually access a menu with the capability of swapping arrows, shields, swords, etc. Before you do the fight, there is an option to 'Prepare' before you jump off the bird's back. So you CAN technically swap weapons on this run. Its just super annoying and after you finish Vah Medoh you can't access it anymore.
@@ocarinaot452 ... Just switch it in the 'Prepare' menu I had just pointed out. You just gotta get a lot of them. A shop will work just fine. Also, I would push the fight with Vah Medoh as far as possible so you can continue to access this menu. You can always ask to go back down to the flight range when you're still on the back of the bird.

@@brodsworth4966 Yeah I, despite being very good at the game - to the point I can consistently take down silver lynels and Calamity Ganons - always get my ass handed to me on like level 3. Of a 13 level course. *Kill me please*
It's worth mentioning that you only get put out if you start spinning _after_ catching on fire; you can't just spin2win up the entire mountain, unfortunately. It's still a much safer way to travel, but you can't avoid taking some damage.
14:53 “Death Mountain, as you may have noticed, is literally on fire, and anybody who walks into it is destined to discover they and the mountain have a lot in common.” I’ve always loved this line, it’s so beautifully set up and executed.
well, memes do exist outside of our reality, so it would make sense they can transfer through games that have no similarities and will make sure everyone knows their name, and will conquer the world. or, y'know, it's just a funny joke.

Honestly one cool thing is going for TotK objectives before getting the paraglider; it’s kinda interesting in my humble opinion. I unexpectedly ended up doing it a bit myself, and accidentally did have to pull some sneaky strats at times! Maybe a little too easy but definitely an interesting challenge run I hope people will attempt. For a more significant challenge, either do minimal pausing or try to limit your use of abilities. EDIT: Yup, someone did pauseless on it.
15:34 Imagine asking a kid to get you lizards for your fireproof armour, and when he actually gives them to you and you give him the armour, you watch him try to climb a mountain and immediately die in front of your eyes. >:0
No. Setting aside the fact that you're forced to pick up the paraglider in order to leave the Great Plateau, I'm pretty sure you have to use the paraglider right at the end of the Dark Beast Ganon fight in order to get into position to deal the final blow. Aside from that, I don't think there would be any major difficulties beating the game, although good luck getting every shrine, and I'd be surprised if _any_ of the Divine Beasts are possible.
You can use Stasis to get down to the ground, but if you try to go too far from the Great Plateau you just get deathwarped back up. Unless there's another glitch I don't know about (which is possible, since I haven't looked into it in a while), that means you can't really get anywhere else without the paraglider.
As far as I know, you can actually get to the mine quite easily. Just do a spin attack with a two-handed weapon and cancel it, each time you catch on fire. This will cancel your burning animation and you basically don't take any damage.
Zia Ahmed stone taloses are easy if you have bombs as your item as they can blow up his arms so you can just safely blow up the pile of rocks from a safe distance. This is very tedious however.
This run is just as doable on the Wii U version, but a little semantics is required to take breaks. The game has to reload textures or something like that when you tap home, so it could be spammed to make travel a little easier. So, take breaks in areas like stables, villages, or shrines
There's something poetic about Revali not only being the only Ability to get, his Divine Beast being able to beat, but also his Special Weapon Bow being used to beat Ganon. *You can hear the shippers as we speak :P*
… I kinda wanna attempt this challenge myself, with the single change of being allowed to *view* the map screen. I’m a dumb with horrendous sense of direction.
The commentary in this video is like a mix of MatPat, Austin from The Science, and the Carlin brothers. Dad jokes, small insanity, and overall humor respectively.
16:08 or just hold a two handed and start a stamina attack and it will put out the fire on your body and then repeat for almost 0 damage and using up almost 0 durability on your weapon.

This video is one of my all time favorites on the internet. I’ve already seen in 4 times and it’s still great. You’re an amazing creator. Also, I’m not sure if i’m allowed to do this, but I have some suggestions for challenge runs: 1: can you beat the trial of the sword in BotW without walking? Rules: no walking, swimming, or climbing normally. The only ways to move are hopping around while shielding, dashing in the water, or jumping while climbing. 2: can you beat every classic mode run in smash ultimate using only little mac’s aerials? Rules: complete every classic mode route without special moves or any grounded normal attacks. To access other character’s classic routes, just set them to p1 and SD immediately as soon as the battle starts. 3: can you beat the subspace emissary pacifist? Rules: only kill enemies that are required for progression and no others. That’s it. P.s. is anyone gonna ask how he was able to buy so many arrows with so little equipment? Where the heck did she get that many rupees?
Since cooking and eating weren't possible and we only needed to upgrade some very specific armor pieces, we sold almost all the inventory items we were getting.
