@@NickThillernothing good honestly it reflects her true personality we can never truly know celebrities anyways so i wasn't surprised nor did i have any expectations of her.
Honestly I have never been so disappointed on an idol, hyunA built her entire career on feminism and women empowerment, even told newjeans to protect themselves since they're young just to end up dating the literal reason why women are unsafe. I'm not even disappointed in a kpop fan way, I'm disappointed and feel betrayed in a "I thought you were a better person" way
weren't new girl groups warned to be careful not to go to a certain floor in the agency's building? It seemed to be known thing in the industry. isnt that man also the ex of Goo Hara? And Hyuna was close to Goo Hara after that farmer variety show they did right? (I forgot the name of the variety show. that thing with SNSD Yuri, Sunny, TARA hyomin, etc)
Hyuna is gonna lose a lot if not most of her fan base from this. Mind you that this man was Goo Hara’s ex and Goo hara helped the investigation during the burning sun scandal and told them everything she knew about him being involved with it. Hyuna is sick for dating a man who was involved in the scandal and she must be crazy to think it’s okay to go public with him. Edit: I want to apologize as I spread some misinformation I was not aware of - Hyuna and Goo Hara were not best friends. I did not intend to use that fact as shock factor. However my original point still stands that Hyuna is a disgusting individual for involving herself with this man.
Her biggest fan site shut down because of this and I’m also disappointed in her. I would’ve married Dawn if I were her instead of being involved with the highlight member. I grew disgusted with the former highlight/beast member after what he did and I unfollowed him. I was a big fan of beast when I followed him before his scandal. I chose to not support him after he did that.
Extremely disappointing. Men from the scandal should be avoided like the plague. They showed what kind of people they are and that shouldn’t be forgotten. They aren’t smol beans they’re adults that did horrible things. Hold them accountable stop treating them like children. I side eye anyone that gets involved with them. I wish the best for the women involved I can’t imagine what they’ve been through.
I'm not excusing what he did. I am truly disgusted. My question is for how long should he or a person pay for their mistakes? Is redemption ever a possibility? Should that person be condemned to wear the Scarlett letter throughout his or her entire life? Has he done anything to improve himself since the scandal? There's something off about him that's for sure. She's a bit off too I just can't pin point it. Does he suffer from psychopathy/antisocial personality disorders, borderline and narcissistic personality disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, and alexithymia? My apologies those are some of the questions that run through my mind. I'm just curious that's all. I do hope that he has learned from it? It troubles me how he thought it wasn't a big deal? It says a lot about him and how he was raised. But then again some people are raised well and still turn out bad.

He’s beyond questionable. And yea she has the right to date whoever she wants. But her fans also have the right to step away and not support her anymore bc of decisions she makes.
It's her private life but they also have a right to not agree with her and not support her cause of this and I like the fact that people are not cursing her out like it's hyuna who did all that the man is disgusting
She can date who she wants, but if she's going to go public with dating a guy who admitted to knowing what was going on with those chat rooms and made the conscious choice not to report it, she's going to have to face the consequences of losing fans and her image being damaged.
I have been her fan since I was 13 years old. I looked up to her as a rarity within the industry, an absolute girl’s girl to her core. I thought she was so brave and ahead of her time. I have never unfollowed someone so fast in my life. I’m grown enough to not have much faith in celebs who I don’t know personally, so it’s been a long time since I was so taken aback. But this is just…
what's even more terrible is the fact that goo hara was one of hyuna's best friends and an ex of this pos, and was also one of the many people who spoke AGAINST him when the burning sun scandal was still ongoing. despite all of this knowledge though, hyuna still chose to pursue him romantically (and even if they were only friends, that's still absolutely appalling). as someone who has been a fan of hyuna since they were in primary school, had looked up to her as a sort of feminist icon during some of the lowest points in my life, and is now a full-grown adult, i can confidently say i will never support this woman ever again...
Also, she was a victim of illegal filming too, which he said wasn't a big deal and reportedly was/is a friend of the man who harassed her, part of the reason she is no longer here with us, it's absolutely sick to do that to your supposed best friend
Stop bringing Goo Hara's name for shock value .They did one show together. Stop calling Hara and Hyuna best friends when they weren’t. And she spoke out about a different ex not this one that Hyuna is dating

@@yuki2761-.-.- basically a bunch of guys (some of them kpop idols) were involved in a big scandal where women were being drugged, raped, recorded and sold. The videos were also being shared around in a big group chat for them to watch.
She’s also a bad person for choosing to be in a relationship with someone who basically participated in human trafficking. She’s not innocent in this situation, they both suck.
Dawn literally risked his own career for hyuna. He left Pentagon, signed up with the company as her, and even proposed ,if im not mistaken. It was cute seeing they were happy together before but I saw someone said that Dawn looked sick in every photos of them together ( or maybe it's just the aesthetic vibe) and looked "livelier" after they broke up 💀
STOPPPP.. they both got kicked out of cube, he didn't leave for her. Stop bringing up Dawn or Ptg into this situation that quite frankly, doesn't involve them.
Men notoriously have a reputation for responding badly to that kind of news so I don't understand purposely getting involved with someone who is already KNOWN to be like that. But to each their own
Didn't he admit in court to watching non consensual, illegal videos of women being literally R worded after being drugged...and I remember their disgusting kkt messages that were shown, objectifying and mocking those women. I have no words hyuna is insane
He's not the one in chat rooms. JJY send him videos of him and his ex through personal chat, he didn't ask for it but he commented about that video. Learn your fact before spreading misinformation. Those disgusting dudes almost have same name.
Imagine building your career on femal empowerment and then dating a man that admitted in court that he knew that the Golden Chat existed and was also your best friend ex. Gorl
the fact that he didn't think it was a big deal is so insane to me. saying that i'm disappointed in hyuna is an understatement, there's a feeling beyond just simple disappointment here. i looked up to her and loved her and her music and supported her as much as i possibly could and this is what she does? like there's nothing to defend here. i can't be happy for her bc this isn't news/a pairing to be happy about. when my friend told me about the news I thought of one defensible thing which was that maybe she didn't know about him in particular somehow or that he didn't tell her purposely and she has no idea, but now that i know that they're both 2nd gen, they both collabed together before, they have known each other for some time, there's no way she couldn't have known any of this. i cannot in good faith defend her. what an insane and frankly nasty story to wake up to. homegirl really went and downgraded from dawn to this POS.
I hope he's worth it for her, because this is the end for hyuna. Dating someone who knowingly hid such awful abuse, she's going to lose a majority of her following.
This is a really bad decision that she made. But it just shows the type of person she is. Since she's dating the guy involved in burning sun, who saw no issue with what was going on, it just proves she doesn't care. Why are you dating someone involved in a huge sex scandal. He may not have done anything outside of watching and commenting on the photos and videos, but he has no regrets just like the rest of them. He sees no wrong to his actions. And by dating him, Hyuna doesn't either. As for her followings, I don't think it will take a big hit like expected. She is still widely followed and supported by fans.
@@MaknaeYujinNoona Burning sun was a huge scandal involving many celebrities, like Seungri from BigBang. There are detailed lists online of everyone implicated, and the charges they received (if they received any). In 2019, the major sex scandal was exposed. And it involved sex trafficking, non-consenting sex. There were different chatrooms where videos, and pictures would be posted. The people in those chatrooms would often comment disturbing things. There were videos and pictures of unconscious women being taken advantage of. Now Burning Sun is the name of a club, where a lot of this stuff was happening. Everyone in the chatrooms, and the CEOs who had shares in Burning Sun, were implicated. There are some screenshots of some chatrooms online that are translated as well. Not everyone involved in this case saw repercussions, and some are even making their way back into the entertainment industry.
@@MaknaeYujinNoona I guess RU-vid removed my comment. Burning Sun was a big sex scandal. (Trafficking, drugs, etc). There were chatrooms with people posting inappropriate things. You can watch podcasts that go in depth about it, and see the translated messages from those group chats online. The person Hyuna is dating was in those chatrooms. Who knows what he was involved in. But he obviously didn't see an issue with it.
@hmangaizuali2233 A huge scandal in 2019 involving many many people that were in considered power or influence and taking advantage of women and minors in clubs. That's the most basic and definitely not the satisfying answer. There's a deep dive on RU-vid somewhere with the full details of what happened. When it aired, I it was a delicate situation since it was being released with a lot of accusations and victims
He is discusting. He and his "friends" deserve a lot of years in JAIL. What they did was one of the most horrible things I have ever seen. This only shows that she is not in her right mind

i was about to be happy for her but not after hearing he was involved in the scandal… how can you be fully aware of what’s happening and NOT think it’s a big deal?? red flag, huge red curtain in fact
And lets not forget that Goo Hara dated him also, and Hara was one of Hyuna closest friend, and what's even worse Hara was also a victim of SA and she actually help the reporter that investigate the Burning Sun. Hyuna is just not a girls girl and many Korean celebrities unfollow her after she announced they were dating.
In the face of opression, if you choose to remain silent or "neutral", then you have chosen the side of oppressor. Period. Same rule applies when you witness crimes or bullying or in this case specifically SA. I doubt he didn't participate actively but lets say, he was telling the truth and was just a passive bystander while his friends committed heinous crimes, he is still GUILTY (and not just by association). Hyuna, I have no words for the disappointment and the disgust I feel upon hearing this. Let's hope he doesn't record her intimately and distribute it to his friends because he doesn't think anything's wrong with that. 🙄
I've would have understood if he felt unsafe talking about it. A lot of people in power were involved. But it wasn't that. Thinking it wasn't something serious definitely makes him an accomplice too. He may be innocent in the eyes of the law, but he def isn't in the eyes of morality.
Used to like Hyuna, but this isn't something I can support... it's very public knowledge what this man has done, and yet she decided to date him. Biiiiig yikes

This is literally the worst scandal that she could’ve avoided if she used her brain. She’s basically saying “I dgaf about all the women who were SAed and had their lives ruined; it’s not like my man ruined their lives. He didn’t even actively SA anyone so he’s basically an angel” 🤢
How incredibly disappointing. This man associated with the people who trafficked people. Not to mention he didnt think it was a big deal and is Goo Hara's ex. Very rarely does one action define someone's entire character but in this case, Hyuna's decision to date him is all i need to determine that she also is a red flag. I hope her primary audience boycotts her until she realizes her blunder. She is clearly not a girls girl nor does she have a good moral compass. Dawn dodged a massive bullet.
I don't understand how any woman could ever feel safe and cared for by someone who thinks drugging, r@ping and selling women is "not that big of a deal."
Omg... wasn't he the guy who tried to SA her and broke her finger among other things if I'm not mistaken? Also goo hara has since passed away from suicide, in 2019 💔
Oh....oh no. I don't normally care for kpop news, but this one is actually pretty bad. The Burning Sun scandal was and still is pretty nasty news to talk and even think about. Being someone who knew about all the horrors that happened to those women and never saying anything about it...even with the slightest hint that those horrors still go on just on a more blacker website...is not a good feature Hyuna should look for in a partner.
You know who I feel the most bad for? Edawn. He literally basically GAVE UP HIS CAREER to be with Hyuna, and THIS is how it turned out. Pentagon were literally in their prime when he decided to leave the group to be with Hyuna. Their songs and videos were EVERYWHERE, everyone was either singing or dancing to them. He decides to leave thinking this relationship would last, and a couple years and mediocre songs later, this is how it ends. In hindsight he may have dodged a bullet with Hyuna, I hope he can bounce back. Ik him or Pentagon will never be as big as they once were, but again I still hope he can at least find some success🙏
I dont care about hyuna and who is dating, I care about Dawn. He left Pentagon because of her. They were close to get married. He got kicked out becuz of herand then they broke up. I am really sad
Why would she date that MONSTER. It's so weird to me. Plus if he KEPT the secret, there are also chances he got lucky and just didn't get caught while doing that stuff himself. Also, mind if I remind youbthat the BS scandal wasn't just about a group chat where r*pe videos were exchanged, but something much, much bigger involving the traficking of minors and drug dealing.

HyunA (from a very far perspective) looks like she has been going on a self destructive spiral for years. I’m a bit worried about her mental health to be honest.
I don't think she was ever doing well. I'm not disappointed in her because she's an idol, she gets paid to entertain, not to be perfect. This has something to do with the real version of herself, not an act for fans. Maybe people expected too much from her. I never saw her as a feminist icon, just an entertainer that liked to push boundaries. You never know what they're really like unless you know them personally.

I don't think anyone had that on their 2024 bingo card... Btw Rotten Mango has a video about the criminal case if you'd like to see a deep dive (but be warned, the case itself is pretty horrible).
I am pretty disappointed of hyuna. Even tho it's her life but she decided to date him openly knowing how bad that case was. And he was not innocent, he did participate in this case.
Watching a video of a woman get SA’d and not reporting it makes you complicit. He has no moral compass, the fact that he turned a blind eye on a such a horrific thing says so much about what kind of person he is and I can understand why her fans are disappointed. It’s our duty to report a crime if we witness it, he didn’t and thought it was no big deal… as a woman how do you look past that? Specially when you sing about feminist causes? Isn’t that hypocritical?
the tone of this vid is a bit odd 🧐 not enough emphasis on the scandal or the fact that the guy knew AND watched those videos, replied to the videos in the group chat etc. hyuna is BEYOND weird for doing this shit. zero conscience. so odd that the guy still has a career, fans and plays concerts. korea and its stance on crimes against women is something that will forever baffle the world.
What worries me is that there's a possibility that Hyuna is in a vulnerable situation and she's being used or manipulated (to explain myself: Hyuna has always being known for her close relationships with her fans and how she listen to them when they have opinions, and in this situation she seems "blinded"). It should also be remembered that Hyuna has been in this industry for many years, since she was a kid and the reality she have experienced on first hand, all the hate we can't imagine, mistreated for a company when she was the biggest artist and one making the money for them, she even had abortion and pregnancy gossip, which brings to her more hate, living and hearing negative thoughts ALL THE TIME, i can imagine that there's a big possibility that she has already normalized so many negative things. Like, she possibly have and believes another version of what her "new boyfriend" is like; they were from the same company, same kpop era, they were friends long before their relationship and who knows their past? He is one of the "least involved" in the case of the golden phone chats and burning sun (i DON'T defend or support him), and sadly she can imagine that the media over exaggerated the news (she have already experienced thar) 🤷🏻♀️ also there's a tiny tiny option that we are wrong and he "already" understand what he did wrong and he's now a "new man" (he already said to different news that he now understands that even when we "wasn't" evolved directly with all the aggression he was wrong). ALSO a little remainder that hyuna have the complex of being like a mom to her partners, also happened with her members... You know like "i can't fix/help/save this person", and that's a mental health issue... So i don't support her new boyfriend, her new relationship, but i will not put my finger against a women who i don't know her situation and the most important thing i had never being in her position on in a similar situation, so i don't have the right to complain about it, i'm just really hoping and praying that SHE'S SAFE in this relationship.
Hyuna is a grown woman who definitely has enough money to seek therapy for her issues. If she chooses to ignore the multiple red flags to seek happiness in people who are obviously wrong for her people don’t have to coddle that by not voicing their opinions
This reminds me of that one quote of Janis Ian from "Mean Girls" "There are two kinds of evil people. People who do evil stuff, and people who see evil stuff being done and don't try to stop it." This quote has been stuck in my head because it's actually true. If you put it in a situation, it actually make sense. Being "neutral" about something like this is just benefiting the suspects and not the victims. He's not even being neutral, he said that he "thought" that it wasn't a big deal. How is r*pe videos not a big deal? He knew and didn't said anything. He's an accomplice.
Hyuna can't play victim then if she ends up in a video herself.... also this is a reflection of the company she wants to keep. That man's whole friend group were criminals. Let the nasties stay together.
I just found out about that Burning Sun scandal, thanks to Stephanie's channel. That was immorality disgusting! I could understand why Hyuna fans feel the way that they do.
