@@thaswayzeexpress my thoughts exactly, depending on the model Toyota has the filters either inside the tank or between the tank and the injectors, Ford usually has it outside the tank, no rhyme or reason that I can see as to placement.
Great video style. I really like the talking throughout with detailed instructions. This is very much like my 04 Toyota Kluger, but it is under a carpet with the backseat unbolted, so this is surprisingly easy.
Totally agree, I am not a fan of in-tank fuel filters at all. Swapping out an in-line filter is so much easier and less messy. Thanks for watching the video. 👍👍👍
This is really helpful actually, my wife’s daily driver is a 2015 accent and has the same engine and just hit 60k miles so this is good for me so I know where more things are on this car and how to do them.
It should be similar, the 1.6 litre motor in the vehicle shown in the video is the bigger brother of the 1.4 litre, and the layouts are similar in both cars.
@@danh90004 Not quite! The oil filter, spark plugs, and fuel filter are different between your model and the one in the video unfortunately. For your engine and model, the specified oil filter is Ryco Z436 or Repco ROF135-S; the spark plugs are Autolite Iridium XP5702 (but there are quite a few alternate brands available); and the fuel filter is Ryco Z1075. The air filter and climate filter are the same in both models, the air filter is Ryco A1803 or Repco RAF558; and the climate filter is Ryco RCA185P or Repco RCF613A. Of course there are genuine parts available as well. Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching the video, I assume you are asking about the location of the fuel filter and if you are, it is in the same place as the 2018 model shown here. Hope that helps.
Hey guys, really was educated by the fuel filter location and maintenance. I've been looking for videos for a long time especially on a 2017 Hyundai Accent. I do have a question or possibly 2. 1. Where is the Mass Airflow Sensor on this model. I wanted to see if it needs cleaning. 2. My car idles like it wants to stall but doesn't when my foot is on the brake and I'm at a traffic light/in line with of others cars and the car is at a stand still just idling. What is making it have the fell of the idling wanting to fail/rough idling? Thanks so much for your response.
Thanks for watching the video and for your questions. Answer 1. That car is long gone from the shop and most of our vehicle business is trucks so I can't check for sure, but the mass air flow (MAF) sensor should be on the hose running between the air cleaner and the throttle body. There will be a section of the hose that is more solid than the rest with a electrical box with a couple of wires running to it and that will be it. Answer 2. The rough idle can be caused by a number of things and cleaning the MAF sensor may fix it. Sometimes a clean of the throttle body inlet can help as well. Sometimes running a cleaner in the fuel and going for an hour or two at highway speeds will fix it too. Unfortunately, I can't be more helpful than that without working on the actual car.
