My 2015 Elantra periodically won’t start, the lights, fans, radio etc all come on but the car just whines and won’t full turn over, any insight on what may cause this? This only happens out of the blue, 98% of the time the car works fine and rarely ever has an issue turning over, if I try a couple of times and it won’t go, usually if I allow it to sit for a minute or two it will eventually turn over and fire up

We did do the starter relay which you did and yours started but mine didn’t. We did not check the starter fuse though so we’re going to try that later next would be to check the starter like a previous video I watched
I’m currently having a starting issue. Replaced my starter Sunday replaced my battery Monday. All lights come on, no dimming issues. But car won’t start nor make any noise when trying to start.
I have a 2014 model. Then i realised you have the starter it in the wrong spot compared to mine. I moved it over one to the left and what do you know it started. Thanks

For me there’s no power at all, I turn the key and nothing lights up or starts. I just open the hatch and slam it back down and the open door alarm goes off right away and the power comes back.
Clearly you have no clue !! The problem is you will have a little button around the edge of your hatch somewhere it goes in and out you need to lubricate it !! Your idea of how to fix things is retarded
Thank you for the tips I have Elantra 2013 with exactly the same issue, mechanic already changed the starter, battery good and new, I just checked the fuse and the the relay and all good, I don’t know what else to do, I gave up
A lot of this is not the starter!!! Try the cables. I've had issues where it seemed like no power was going to the starter. I put new ends on it and it's a waste of time. After a while that negative and positive lose conductivity from being old, the copper just wears out and even with new ends it won't work because the cable is junk. So don't spend a ton on starter etc. But I priced the positive cable and a good one is close to $300.00 and a Negative was up to $50.00 and this is without installing them. The positive one looked like there was 4 different connections.
Our car does not start sometimes, but the lights on the dash are all ok - just like yours. Do you think it could be a lose fuse or starter, or is it possible that a failing fuse or relay can cause intermittent issues like this?
We have a same problem the car would not crank at all after trying to turn the key multiple times & dashboard was ok & battery was ok. Once you play with the gears, it started right up! If it is fuse or relay, I don't think the car will start at all. My guess is either it is neutral safety switch or the starter. Most likely it is neutral safety switch.
@@GOKHANDILEK I had the same problem, I replaced my neutral safety switch (inhibitor switch) and I'm still having the same problem. Do you have any other guesses?
Good point. I’ve had similar issues and through trial and error I’ve stumbled across this solution. Also I find if the steering wheel is parked at a severe turn, ignition switch can be finicky and moving/turning the steering wheel seems to work
Accelerator pedal does not feed petrol to the engine all it does is allow more air into the throttle body of fuel injected car ! Pumping it does nothing
