Hyundai has given its second-generation i10 city car a facelift for 2017. We lived with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol in SE trim for a week to give it a thorough review.
Just got an i10 Premium for £12.5K (probably not the best deal I could have got but I needed it in a hurry) very happy with it so far. Very impressed with all the electronic toys you get - bluetooth phone integration works a treat and was very suprised when I plugged a 10-year-old iPod into the USB to find all the controls and playlists instantly accessible via the main radio controls. Another unexpected bonus feature are the corner head lights which automatically come on when you turn the wheel to go round a corner then slowly fade as you straighten up - very nice on dark country lanes.

Paul Stafford Cook sorry for the delay, the i10 is even better than i thought, a great little car i would recommend it, as long as you gain a deal. The affinity scheme gained me a £1500 discount, plus mats and half a tank of fuel
Don't know why the VW UP! , Seat and Skoda are rated with the i10. The i10 is so much classier, better looking and far superior. In a class of it's own with only the 2019 Picanto to rival it--but--same company really. A real peoples car that people buy because they like it not because of misplaced badge engineering.

well I have the 1litre premium and what a cracking little car it is why keep talking about the 0 to 60 speed and a top speed of 96 we live in England 96mph you will get done for speeding so that is a big no no on my commute home at 5 o'clock in bham you think I will worry about the 0 to 60 time ? 20MPH WOULD BE NICE! IT'S A City car so why do all your review on country lanes makes no sense to me our roads are that congested how fast you can go no longer matters at all!
John Cotton 0-60/62 time is a usable standard measure that's used across the industry and something people can understand and relate to. It's a bit like saying why mention mpg as everyone has different journeys in different places. True, so you need standard measures to relate to. Our reviews are carried out in urban and rural areas as people travel and live in both. The i10 was heavily driven in a busy Brighton during several rush hours. Regarding filming, have you ever tried filming in a busy town? It's almost impossible so we get a mix of rural and urban filming. Delighted you like your i10.
John, we've got a 1litre Premium like you and I agree its a fantastic little car. We have done 3 hour plus journeys in it and it feels like a much bigger car for ride comfort. Decided to get the 1litre after reading various reviews and glad we did. We often do motorway stints in it, the 3 cylinder is brilliantly quiet and for a city car acceleration is really good. At the end of the day city cars are essentially about fuel economy, if you want more pulling power get a supermini.
I have just recently purchased one that is 3 yrs old & has only done 4,000 miles. I have to agree with you, the furthest I drive is usually the 10 miles I do in a morning when I take my son to school.
I had an Up! for two years before changing for a 1.2 Premium SE manual i10. There's nothing bad about the up...fun to drive and sits nicely on the road. I liked the comfort and finish of the i10 and general spec was so good. It's very quiet on the road and has a feeling of a plusher and bigger car than the VW. Have just ordered the auto version of the same spec i10. Can't wait...but will have to for the next 12 weeks!
So the Ka+ is super roomy and has a great ride. For me the i10 has more character, is better to drive with sweeter engines (and subjectively looks better). Hope that helps.
