Ah... It's been a years since the last time Carwow reviewed cheap car like this one, noice!!! I mean... i love those fancy sports car reviews but let's be real here like how many people are actually going to buy those cars (compared to the one like this one)
Nuhan Hidayat I think one of the reasons is, there will be more viewers interested in the flashy cars and they’ll probably have more things in them to talk about meaning the video can be longer meaning more money and better for RU-vid’s algorithm.
@@Ben_Mayall that's true and i understand that, but you know sometimes it's nice to see this kind of videos popping up, i mean Carwow is a webapp for a car dealership after all

yeah but this guy in the video thinks that every smaller car manufactor needs to look like hes audi..he even can say that hyunday copied the a line from audi audi..heherhe he is the most biased "reviewer" on youtube ...
Probably coz he reviews not just the budget cars but also the high end cars, so he can't help to avoid comparing the high end to the budget cars. He is human in the end 😅
@@san8649 he is not professional and biased to mercedes and BMW and audi.. Funny how never review cars that's beats these cars.. Only cheaper. 😂😂 So it have nothing to do with him being human. 😂😂
I've had my 14 i10 1.0L since it was a year old! I wouldn't change it! It has electric windows on all 4 doors and the stereo is fine! Huge fun to drive - goes like a bomb on the motorway [on the flat anyway] 48 MPG in the city. Totally reliable - The only car I've never got bored of!
I agree with you 100% I’ve had my i10 since 2017, I got a great deal at the dealership which included a full tank of fuel 😅😅 I will drive this car until it stops. It’s ver nippy on the motorway & you can squeeze this car into the smallest spaces, very eco on fuel & cheap car 🚗 💨 insurance. 10 out 10
I appreciate both of you for these comments! I’m gonna be heading to the dealership in the next few days and discussing price, hopefully taking one home very soon! Really loving what I’m seeing :)
@@DigitalDissident "I respect anyone who doesn't drive a stupid SUV. " WHY? SUV (ok crossover) consumes as much fuel as Hyundai i20 does, which is small to. In the city suv is better and it shape doesn't matter at speed one drive in the city.
People buy SUVs because they want to sit higher or they just think bigger is better & have never heard of wagons. As a car enthusiast who likes good handling, speed, & style, I could never justify an SUV unless I became obese, disabled, or had a large family. Also, SUVs & Pickups block the road visibility for people in normal sized cars behind them. SUVs make pedestrians harder to see especially in dense city areas where they line the curbs. They're a rapidly depreciating, exceptional waste of gas, & most of them are just used as commuter vehicles or grocery haulers.
@@DigitalDissident I don't see connection between obese and SUV. I wouldn't care of blocking visibility to because a) i would see more (cyclists, traffic lights) and other can buy SUVs too. "They're a rapidly depreciating, exceptional waste of gas" nonsense, Hyundai Tucson depeciates slower than Ford Focus. My friend's Tucson consumes as much fuel as my smaller I20. What wrong is with bigger car when it consumes the similar amount of fuel, is more comfortable, and can be used in many scenarious: in the city, on the motorway, in vacation with whole family and more bags? It is better than buy one big comfortable car and one smaller to use in the city.
@@MrZvonko1 yes I drove one almost fully equipped. The nav is just a peace of shit. U only can roll down the driver side window from the driver side. There is naked metal All over the place. I don't understand why all the jokes. I am dreaming of driving a car and if I buy this car, I will be extremely happy and grateful for life to give me such a pleasure. You people need to have your feet on the ground.
You can't compare a 2020 hyundai with a 2000 mercedes.. every mercedes comes with heated steering wheel (including cheapest A class) as an option and it costs about 150 euros and you don't have to get the priciest premium pack in order to get
@M Mlad All Hyundai and Kia cars are basically just European cars. They're designed by Europeans, engineered by Europeans, inside and out, everything about it is just European, or specifically, German. All these brands do is pay top name designers from Europe to do their job for them. It's very lazy and very unoriginal. Honest it's kinda sad and soulless. But I guess the value is there.
Everyone saying “finally a car I can afford”. I watch this to motivate myself to have money to buy a car like this. I’m browsing Facebook marketplace for used 2004 cars. OOF.
@@kiyoponnn that would most certainly depend on the mileage, and also where they bought the car. second hand cars seem to be a lot dearer across europe, as opposed to the uk.
Mat, you're a tremendous presenter. We really could use more of your review style and drag races on more common cars as this I10. Thanks for all your videos. Love them. Bless.
The load cover fits upright behind the front seats when folding down the rear back rests. Also, you can lift up the actual back seats and flip them forward where they sit upright behind the front seats, so the back rests sit flatter when folded down. I love my '17 i10, it's surprisingly fun to drive. With decent tyres, I've left many a performance saloon driver surprised in country lane driving. An i10N sounds very interesting!
I'd say that the i10 is just about as close to a Hyundai Getz replacement as is gets. Make a great 'shopping trolley', yet still able to do reasonably long distant trips. Sadly, not available is Aussie (at least, so far). Cruising last week [Jan 2020] in Vanuatu (Pacific Islands), these i10's were local hits with the seemingly totally indigenous 'God fearing Protestant' population who still who still write everything in 'Pigeon English'. :-)
@@adammchugh7187 More or less, here in Portugal it really depends on how you say it and what your intention is, but it is not very respectful when addressing someone. If you want to be more respectful, you say "idoso".
Great job. Love watching Matt review pretty much anything, but good, cheap cars are especially nice to see. This channel and others are so well done I hardly watch telly anymore!
The Indian model has better build quality, has different shaped diamond cut alloy wheels, different DRLs, we also have a sedan version called the Hyundai Aura, they call it The Grand i10 níos and they still sell the old model called the Grand i10
@A real bisexual petrol-head It was bough by my mom's 13 years ago when it was 7 years old. It had everything she needed. She does not drive anymore, and I bought 2012 Grande Punto, but I keep little Atos because it still runs, or when Punto is at service.
As someone who's driving a similarly powerful car (with even worse acceleration), it's really fine, even on the Autobahn. I've never been a hindrance to other driver. All you have to do is work the gearbox more and not leave it in gear for too long like Matt did in this video (he's just too used to more powerful cars). I've never had the issue of my car getting slower uphill.
I'm Portuguese and I was watching the video and was like "the streets in this review are so familiar..." And then I realized that it is Portugal! Ahahah 😂🇵🇹❤️
@@saratodd6571 I'm sorry but he is driving in Portugal. Throughout the video you can clearly see the locations where he is driving - you can even read the signs on the road (Lisboa, Cascais and so forth) and in the different places (cabeleireiro - means hairdressers; carros ligeiros/pesados - means light/heavy cars).

Great looking car. Lots of improvements on the original . I'm still driving a10 year old 1.2 i10 which has been totally reliable. I want this new model! Especially in that test cars lovely wine red colour.
Thanks for the video Matt. I work at a Hyundai dealership, and we are getting these in very soon, but this is the first time I have seen one properly. Just wanted to say, the 100bhp engine is in the i10 N-Line not the N. It would be interesting to see a proper i10 N to compete with sporty city cars though. For the money, you do get a load of tech, and this is what attracts the younger buyers.
So much better then the VW Up (Vw Down would be a better name) i don't even start about the design of the Up. Looks like a microwave or washingmachine from behind, especially in a white color one.
Can't help but think with 5years unlimited mile warranty this car would be an absolute hoon to rag around and clock up thousands and thousands of miles in for 5 years.
One of your very worst reviews. What do you expect from a 1.0 litre vehicle - miracles? As you said, for only £500 more (and almost no extra ££ second hand) the 1.2 litre will get to 60 mph in a perfectly reasonable time. For god sake stop inventing utterly pointless niggles and assess the car on its price, position in the market, and practical qualities compared to other cars. It is a fabulous little car and is perfectly capable of very long journeys in total comfort at a knock down price. And please stop this "only good as a city car" nonsense in ALL of your reviews. I've been round the whole of Europe several times in it, and it was stress free, capable, economical and comfortable. It will cruise (1.2 engine) effortlessly. As will many other "city" cars.
I don't believe how expensive cars over there in England 12500 pounds. Converted it to $A21000. Here we get the base i30 manual for that or a Kia Cerato or Hyundai Elantra. For another $A4k you can have the i30 turbo diesel 7 speed auto. Plus our fuel is so much cheaper like $1.50 per litre which is about 80 pense. Once Meghan and Harry cut the royal apron strings they would be better off moving here in stead of Northern North Americanas aka Canada. We don't have grizzly bears and once they both get jobs here as they would totally make fools of themselves if they took the Queens money without responsibility. Nobody will respect them if they stay on the Royal payroll although not sure if anybody does now. We laugh at the stupidity of the Royal family and their total lack of morals.
Hey Mat, even though a lot of the cars (such as this I10) we don't get here in the U.S., I really enjoy your reviews. Very funny, inventive and informative. Great work and you are the best!!
After owning a BMW 3 series diesel for the past few years decided to sell it and get a cheap small car like this, went with a top spec 2015 peugeot 108, paid just under 5 grand for it with less than 15k on it... and have to say not regretted the decision one bit... zero road tax, takes about 30 quid to fill the tank and lasts a couple of weeks if not more, plus 200 quid insurance a year! Tyres and parts are cheap as f**k and the best part is I own the car out right :) when you get to your mid 30's like me you start to realise cars are boring and all do the same thing... plus a never ending drain on your wallet! lol.
I don't care two bits about cars, they need to be reliable, cheap and economical. I've had an Aygo for a few years now and done 100.000km without a single problem on it, so time to change it to something new. This is actually a nice little car with lots of goods in it. Heated steering wheel? Bum heater? AC?.... Sold
Please do a test between the new Audi A8l vs new BMW 7-Series vs new Mercedes S-class vs new Jaguar XJ vs new Lexus LS vs new Kia K9 vs new Genesis G90. Like if u agree. #BATTLEOFTHELIMOS Just do it Matt.
We like cheap! Enough of super rich limited edition nonsense, let’s bring 2020 sense into it, well done for the fun review, I got almost convinced to buy one 😎
I've been waiting for this specific review for some time now.. But I was hoping it would be with the 84 hp engine.. I really wonder what to expect from it on highways ... any ideas ? Nice review btw , detailed and fun.
I have the 4 cylinder 84 hp automatic. 0-100 kph is around 12 seconds, and it can cruise easily around 110 kph on highway even on slight inclines. The gearbox automatically shifts you down to 4th gear though if you are on incline. Top speed I managed where the car wasn't vibrating was around 130 kph and it'll go to 150 or so if you really push it. It's not that fast, but certainly better than this one.
@@shubham_yadav1611 Many thanks for your comment. Are you confident to take it for a longer trip then (say 300 km) or do you feel that you would be torturing it ..? -I think you just answered that , thanks again.
@@stergiosspat8562 300km would be pretty easy to do. 500+ and you'll have to take a couple rests since this isn't as comfortable as high end cars. I'd highly suggest the automatic. You'll have to change gears quite a lot on small engines with a manual.
If you already paired your phone, why didn't you use music from the RU-vid library to show stereo? They are free - and with the shown 2 seconds you used from this copyrighted song nobody could hear anything, so this was pointless!
My father has diesel variant of this car and he is using since 7 years and travelled more than 100,000 kms with it And it is pretty reliable and it is stronger than your car also it doesnt have much performance as roads are not much good in my area May be i reuse it or sell for a performance hatchback
