Not just the back seats. All 4 seats, including the driver seat can fold completely flat. The design is amazing. I do hope that it would be priced competitively against the cheap chinese EVs. This may be my next EV.

This small ev is needed. Most manufacturers have neglected this end of the market. They prefer to build massive pickup trucks and suvs.

the interior reminds me of japanese imports from the mid-70's to the early 80's......here in the States. Also...when i was younger....70's to let's say late 90's...many people would do road trips in the smaller cars....cheaper. Besides...even now, not everyone wants a behemoth.

A very welcome addition to the affordable EV market that I hope does very well. The adoption of small, affordable and efficient EVs is way overdue to tackle urban pollution and climate change. Living in the North of Scotland a heat pump is an essential requirement.

Your opinion is spot on. 'This EV is a city car' sounds like a cop out to me. Lots of people want a small car, but still need to do big distances sometimes. It'll certainly help EV adoption if small vehicles are truly versatile.

I agree about Honda and Toyota reliability. my 2001 Civic ha done 150000KM. my next car (When something expensive breaks in the Civic) will be an EV - Maybe this Hyundai .

Hyundai / Kia have proven themselves to be smart car makers over and over. They have a knack of supplying what the market needs, they know how to tick those boxes. Not just the size / type of car but the functionality and ease of day to day use. Good to see they are sticking with the blend of digital displays and physical buttons, I really don't like the "one screen" approach, they are not user-friendly in the real world (when driving). The reliability (long warranty) speaks for itself. Every now and then a small car comes along and gains cult status (mini, fiat 500....) let's hope this one does that!

With ICE cars we have small city cars, compact etc but with all of them you can go and drive 300-400km on a highway (the confort and noise are lower in a small car than in a medium size one). What I need and other people also, a normal reliable car with 400-500km of real autonomy with a normal price. I want normal door handles, I want normal features like mirrors, buttons for climate control etc.

Having already watched many reviews of this car I find yours by far the best with important information not previously given...So I subscribed and look forward to your test drive when available. One thing which will interest me is if the display can be modified to show speed with a nice big number instead of the old-fashioned gauge...Sounds picky maybe but I am now used to (and love) the dashboard of my hybrid Jazz and wouldn't really like, for me a retrograde step. Thanks for providing such a professional channel!

Hey Steve, this is a lovely comment and I really appreciate it. I try very hard with my videos. I believe that you can change the gauge into a large number but i can't confirm it. I will try to confirm it though, i'll send their marketing person an email :)

“I don’t think any of you are going to be interested in this but…” woah, wait up. The marketing will no doubt have young dudes influencing their way around urban coffee but in reality the segment for this car is more likely me! Late fifties, married, empty nest, big(ish) dog, and the previous proud owner of three Honda Jazzes, so yes, boot practicality is fundamentally make-or-break important to me, more so than the performance figures and all the tech - as long as it has Apple CarPlay and Hyundai keep the wheel button long-press to kill lane assist (not bury it under a zillion menus like in the MG4). We currently drive a Hyundai Tucson which is far too big for what we need and are looking to downsize, would love an ev, a small inexpensive ev, with the Jazz’s Tardis-like credentials. I agree with what you say about Hyundai - and I guess Kia - being up there with Honda and Toyota for reliability, fit, finish and quality, so I now await my Hyundai dealer’s monthly phone call with interest, rather than the usual dread… 👍

I hope you will track the sales and at what prices these cars sell, car makers want to make max profits and these cars probably won't make them a profit so I expect low production / sales.
