Have had the car for one year now; while driving . . climate control panel turns itself off or goes to fan #8 while in auto mode with NO input, climate control sporadically receives "signals" (you can hear the beep sounds) while driving, and also becomes unresponsive. You CAN control climate settings with the glass display, albeit temporarily, but resorts again to "sporadic" inputs without touching the panel. Just dropped it off for ICCU and VCU updates--I did mention the problem to the service center. Don't know what will come of it. Will post if there is a solution. Not hopeful because the problem is random and inconsistent. Very frustrating. Yes, I disabled all the climate control "auto" selections available, pulled the 15A A/C fuse; disconnected battery, among other things. Connected OBDII; there were no codes displayed. I did ask for it to reset all codes; but as mentioned non popped up. All of this did not help the problem. Today while driving to the dealership, the climate control system behaved normally; there were no issues.
I5 SEL 2022. The problem persists and happens whith the car in "ready" mode or while driving on the road ( which is annoying because it deselects the "fan setting" I have "3" and gradually increases to 7 or Max in short period); but as I said it is sporadic and unpredictable. I have taken it to Dealership x 2 --- showed them multiple videos of this behavior, but without codes, they are unable to either duplicate or troubleshoot. The only way I get around it is by selecting climate control on the touch screen and selecting what's needed (a lower fan setting and/or auto temp control). Of course, when it's acting up, whatever selection I make on the touch screen is usually overridden within a few seconds by the lower climate control panel. NOTE: The touch screen above is always responsive to the settings selected. The problem is that the lower panel overrides it AND as it is doing so, you can hear the "beeps" as if someone is touching the climate control panel to make changes. For a few seconds the climate control panel is unresponsive on its left side. I have tried just about everything I can think of which includes deselecting all the auto functions of the climate control system, resetting it to OEM settings, disconnecting 12V battery for an hour, updating software, uninstalling any and all of additional gadgets (camera, battery monitor, wireless Apple car play . . . . . in short everything I can think of. Even had a chat with The Ionic Guy for feedback and/or suggestions. I'm still having issues, and looking for a fix. @@kindfish
