I have owned 13 vehicles and driven most well past 100,000 miles and never have I had the mirrors and doors come loose. But my 2014 hyundai mirrors wobble and doors crack and squeak with not even 50,000 driven on nice roads at moderate speeds. The mechanic at the dealer said I would have to go to a body shop because he could not figure out how to tighten the mirrors. Thank you for the time you took to make this vid. Now I need to figure how to adjust the doors.
Just used this video to figure out how to get my mirror apart. 2013 Azera. Bought the signal repeater for my right hand mirror for 35 on eBay. A steal for one of these things. Super easy thanks to your video!
I wish I watched this video before I attempted to fix the side mirror not folding when I lock the car. I forcibly took the actual mirror out which broke its pins and the white ball thing in the center. Eventually there was a messed up screw with a stripped head… so I couldn’t continue to fix it. How does that even happen when the car was never repaired?! I put everything together but the mirror (reflective part) is a bit loose.
Helpful video but... unfortunately, the 2014 Elantra doesn't have the three screws inside the mirror housing @2:26 ! Grrr. Luckily, the cover you used to get to those screws allowed me to run the wires I needed to run for the puddle lights I will install. Thanks for posting this!
