In this video I take you through the process of repairing Auto folding Hyundai side mirror's motor.
Motor constantly keep running with a clicking sound even when the key is out of ignition switch.
Hyundai service quoted 5000+indian rupees 85USD for replacement and for body coloured painting for mirror cap costs extra as spare parts comes only in black Colour.
So managed to fix it without any new parts just by repairing the broken parts inside the retractable motor.
Retractable motor was dismantled and found the motor wheel which close/opens the ORVM was damaged.
Since it was plastic parts it was easy to get it sticked using glue.
Now since a month using it no issues.
Auto ORVM working fine.
Just took 2hours to repair saved a lot of money.
This video will be use full for Actuator issues and Glass replacement as well.
Actuator is the motor holds the glass and using it we can adjust the angle of view outside according to the drivers height automatically from the button control near drivers armrest.

Thank you very much for this video :) This repair can be done without cutting any wires. The wires attached to indicator light and rotating motor can be easily unplugged. The wires attached to mirror adjustment part are fixed. At 6:09, mirror adjustment part is opened which has two motors connected to 4 wires. Using soldering machine we can detach wires and re-attach it while re-assembling the ORVM.

glad it helped😊🤝... No remote function wont work in the older versions bro... But u can get it done by connecting the mirror fold control with central lock control, better to get it done by a good electrician bro.

My wagon r 2009 LHS orvm was broken so I got it replaced from authorised service centre 2 months back. But only yesterday I realised that now when press down button mirror goes upwards and down button makes the mirror go up. It's reversed. Is the mirror faulty or something wrong with the wiring?? I would be glade if anyone having knowledge about this could reply.

yes bro. U dont remove the side mirror assembly from car. Step 1: start from 1:36 remove the glass be gentle. Step 2: just un plug the red green wire seen in 1:53 to 1:54 if u r still not clear which wire to unplug watch 2:44 to 2:50. Step 3: jst tape the white pin leave it inside and fix the mirror back. So nw still u can tilt the glass position but to fold mirror u have to manually do it.

No. middle steel gear will rotate along with the wheel. Yes you can buy the wheel, link in the description bro. Motor also available can search in that same website. I purchased a gear knob through Aliexpress once to try this website, it took around 3weeks to deliver, I am in Chennai. So i think Aliexpress may not fake it thy may deliver.

yes bro you can install. But avoid screw type fixtures lights. Go for double side tape sticking type of lights, for wiring drill tiny holes try not to make it look bad.

bro u need 2 relay switch with four pin. In relay u will hav 87, 86, 85, 30. Dual Horn positive pin connect with both relay 87pin. Dual Horn negative pin connect with body that will be ground. 2pin of number 30 connect with battery. 1pin of relay number 86 connect with positive wire from the horn switch. 1pin of relay number 85 connect with negative wire from the horn switch. 1pin of another relay 86 connect with central locking positive wire 1pin of another relay 85 connect with central locking negative wire. Stock Central locking wires will be connected with indicator bulb also with a relay setup u can pull the wire from there.

no bro have to cut the wires without that its not possible to remove motor. its a 30 teeth plastic wheel, 4.5mm thick and 16mm dia.. Iam from chennai i tried in plastic gear wheel local shops cant able to get in same size bro. i managed to find it only in Ali-express, website link in the description.

@@criticalloop I did the same thing as you did.Nothing was broken apart from the gear place which was not proper position.so I placed it the same way and cleaned a bit and refitted.But no luck getting same sound.

Yes, but its difficult. U need to remove the wire from actuator motor(2 motors). Use soldering iron to remove and mark the wires correctly to match, also have diode sort of thing attached to it. After finishing it solder the wires to actuator motor again as before. I found that difficult to do, so I cut the wire, also wire is going inside through the motor hole which will be difficult to open the motor cover also. So either cut at one end or solder at another end.

Bro may be motor board need to check. If u have multi-meter or if u can borrow from any home appliance repair shop u can try to check the board continuity. if tat also working means thn may be motor totally spoiled thn u need to buy new mirror only bro...😔

@@VivekSingh-bh6kq bro inside orvm we have 2 motor setup one is for folding orvm and another for mirror adjustment. so if mirror can adjust I think board is working fine thn it should be the orvm folding motor issue. I also had the tick tick sound continuously wen an other vehicle hit my mirror and folded it opposite side. At present the only way is to unplug the wire temporarily to stop that sound. mine also had the same issue so i unplugged the wire.

@@steevsanu3164 yes bro shipping charges nw is very high, may be bcoz of pandemic shipments will be traveling to few location before reaching us... last year delivery was around 18$ bt tat also i found expensive for me tats y i took chances with fevikwik, luckily for me side mirror still working, bad thing is i tried alot to find plastic wheel in Chennai bt cant find it in same size. If mine broken again i think it will be difficult to fix it back again. One of another friend said may be, it can be found in Delhi bt he also not sure from where. Bcoz of this small plastic wheel replacing a full set mirror is really heart breaking bro he he he...

lets say for example left side mirror(LHS) is closed and right side mirror(RHS) is open. 1. Unplug LHS wire and press the folding control button and fold RHS. 2. so imagining as LHS and RHS both in close option. 3. Plug LHS wire back in. 4. Press the controller button and check.... Nw i think both mirror should work fine....

U just fast forwarded the most important part of opening the main assembly. Hence disliked the vdo. Due to that i couldn't repair.

Sir I am having hyundai verna 2010 model in this model there is no auto folding mirror,it is possible to make it auto folding mirror sir.

yes bro...can change but it may go up to 15k i think, u need to buy new pair of automatic mirrors, thn Open/close switch, mirror adjusting switches, wires, relay and good wiring guy to do it, so it might end up expensive bro. Actually i am not an mechanic so i don't know the exact cost. just saying approximately it might cost as mirror OEM may be 6k for a pair thn 3k for switches thn relay wire assembly so i said as 15k. I have seen in my friends verna its has manual mirror but still in RH front door panel there was provisions to fix the switches for auto mirrors hope your car also has that So it can be done according to me bro.
