ABS light, check engine light, and low tire pressure light. And only 34,843 miles on the odometer??? YUP!!! sounds about right!!!! LMAO!!! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love and enjoy my midnight black 2014 Hyundai Sonata 2.0 turbo. She is so fast!!! Super sexy looking design inside out. I love the blue interior lighting as well!!! And overall, she has been a dam good car, but she did have some issues early on after purchase (3 months after to be exact). I bought her at approx 30,000 miles on it, plenty of warranty left on it. But something to do with the turbo going bad so acceleration was close to none, it was literally in "Limp Mode", just enough to get her to the dealership. Warranty covered replacement which cost $3,000 . 4 months later I get in, push the push start button and all I got was the dreaded sound of an engine trying to turn over. I was pissed to say the least!!! I still owed $14,000 on the dam thing. Turns out, both fuel pumps went bad at same time...smh...warranty covered an almost $1,000 repair. Other than that I love her and shes sexy!!!
@Gianni Green eyes Quality wise like interior plastics and moldings and buttons inside, are on the cheap side. But no plastic pieces have broken off or anything (then again I don't have kids and its usually just me driving in the car with an occasional passenger here and there) however, the push button, the steering wheel inserts and buttons . lock and unlock door button and window buttons have all faded and peeled and that sucks!!!! But drivetrain suspension and other major components are solid and she starts up every time cold or got. Speaking of cold. The air conditioner absolutely sucks in a hot hot climate (las vegas and salt lake city utah) if it gets really hot outside, the a/c can just not keep up!!! It will get really warm if your standing at a red light in traffic unless you rev the engine like absurdly. And I've checked the fluids and hoses and everything else. And it works just fine on normal mild days...I guess it could be that my exterior is black the dash is black and interior is all black.
@Gianni Green eyes The cooling system is in tip top shape!!! Has been serviced and recharged by the hyundai dealer I bought it from. The service department actually told me "warm a/c in sonatas are a common problem" and that it's something one shall just deal with. So i was like uhh ok!!! So i shall do that. It mostly blows warm and has trouble cooling, on days of something like mid July 100° plus days.... And no humidity in my neck of the woods, just good old pure dry hot hot hot air lol I'm surprised everything doesn't just spontaneously combust from the heat, on days like that. But i still LOVE my black beauty "SONIA-SONATA" (what I named her 😉) I too have the turbo, paddle shifters and all that jazz and she gets up. Fun to drive and still has her beautiful curves 😎😁😍
Did you participate in the lawsuit? Hyundai is paying out millions of dollars to everyone affected. My friend got a brand new motor in his 2012 2.0t for Free!
