I just purchased a vehicle with some dent damage and was told that it will cost anywhere from 6k to 10k in repairs from a paintless shop. After watching several of your videos I’m going to tackle this project myself this weekend when my tools come in. Wish me luck

Another great job from the master! And folks re Hyundai HSS, yes they make their own, and also supply other carmakers, but its for the chassis, not body panels.

Tool freak!!! Love it. I’m a Jeweler and I love all my tools... good job with your videos, I’ve even attacked my car, had a dent on the trunk and though a rubber stop access hole I was able to repair the dent. Used a heat gun from H.F. Saved the paint and my pocket.

Great work,Had a similar dent on a 2016 Honda Accord. Used the k bar from keco centipede glue tab . Use the tab to pull up a lot of pressure as I knockdown the crown. Save me a ton of time. DING II Inc, Tampa.

I’m from Bay Area Cali. I have a similar dent measuring 2 inch diameter and almost exact same place. Here they’re charging at least $375. I don’t think it’s fair? What do you think?

Great job. I have this same dent on my 2006 Bmw 750i but paint cracked. I found a new fender online for $156, is it cheaper to just replace the fender and have it painted?

If you replace fender alot of the times you will have to blend to hood and door. Remove bumper, headlights, detrim door and hood. Will cost more usually

@dentless touch it is due to the chrome plating on it (Chromium is mainly used in stainless steel etc) the underlying steel may be just carbon steel but the plating itself inhibits the magnetic property of it due to the layer of chrome (hope that helps)

I don't get how the heat gun is able to heat up the metal without the paint bubbling and peeling.

The heat gun heats the paint to only about 150 degrees to make it more flexible and less likely to crack. Low heat setting only and use an infrared thermometer to measure the paint temperature so it does not bubble.

I would use a dolly and hammer Grind it fill it prime it and paint it done! 2 hours Fuck preserving the paint What is that cars finish gonna look like in 10 years? Like shit lol so paint it

Why do you think the paint would be damaged after 10 years. I barely touched it. Your method on the other hand - grind the panel down to bare metal(exposing it to moisture) - putting some Bondo or filler to straighten the damage (applying something that wasn’t on the car from the factory) - applying paint (nowhere near how the factory applied it) and laying it the same thickness as factory so that it doesn’t pull up on the paint gauge when he trades it in. it sounds like your method is the most intrusive I don’t know if you’re aware of the study 3M did talking about how durable and better adhesion factory paint provides. I’m not saying your method is not needed but on this particular repair if you can keep the factory paint it a win. **** The owner of this car owns 2 body shops FYI****

@@Dentlesstouch what I'm saying is any car that's 10 years old loses a ton of value So by the time the paint you spray the fixed dent the whole cars paint is damaged so why do a half ass job probing the dent out when it's never perfect anyway. Punch a few holes pull it grind it fill it prime it and paint it done move over to the next car Next ?
