I bought a black 2003 GT V6 brand new and it's been my ride ever since, it's perfect, 3rd gear is amazing and it handles like it's on rails! best car i've ever had.
I have a 2007, and it has been my favorite car by far! We sometimes have to hit on the freeway to release the need for freedom!! Many have offered to “ Mr. Tibbs”!! Seriously never had any issuers with engine, or anything but relaxing just due to it wore out. It truly is so slick around corners, this car also keeps me filling young at heart! My grandkiddos call it grandmas race car!! 😁 This I absolutely love!! I won’t travel fast with them in it!! However they must feel it’s going fast due to how they see it!! I need to have plates in it” grandma’s race car!!”
I bought the 2007 SE in 2006 brand new and all of these years later, almost 15, she has never given me a lick of trouble after I replaced the dodgy clutch. I LOVE this car and just had her repainted and a few little dents repaired. In other words, I'm keeping her until she dies.
Cool review man! I still love the Tiburon! I used to own the 4cyl version which didn't have a 6th gear unfortunately. But still, these cars look awesome.
0-100 is 6.6 seconds. i drove it myself with a fully stock V6 Tib. see my channel if you dont believe me. Vmax is 250KMH 155mph. takes him a little getting there, but he defenitly gets there.
You can’t really compare this to a Supra. They are completely different cars. Also, the Coupe is on the same platform as the Santa Fe, meaning if you wanted, you could convert it to AWD with a Santa Fe driveline, rear differential and transfer case
@@ruslan2676 I love it, but like any other vehicle, it comes with some downsides and issues. This is also my first car, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I own the 2.0l 4-cyl model, the fuel economy is just slightly under average for most other vehicles. It isn't a fast car, but it's very light weight, which makes it a fun daily. The back seat is almost non-existent and is difficult to fit anyone above 5 foot 4 inches. An issue I've been dealing with is the power steering is a lot heavier than other cars, and this seems to be a common issue with most Tibs. Other than those things, it's a very rewarding car, fun to drive, and gets some stares from other people, mostly because this vehicle isn't widely known!
@@emberrr577 Hmm very interesting, I have the same 2008 car but my steering wheel is like a feather, almost scares me at high speeds. Other than the only thing that drives me crazy is the trunk cover rattle. I am still struggling to find some bushings that are hard enough to keep it tight and still. Otherwise the car is fire man I love it. I have the only one in my town so it feels good not be the every other bmw or audi.
@@jakobmorrison1660 just rolled 90,000km (56,000miles) and I love it with all it's imperfections. It's gonna be super rare to find a low mileage tibby, I just so happened to get extremely lucky. If you feel it's right, then go for it! Make sure to test drive it though
I own the 1.6 version. Of course the V6 would be more fun but how this car corners makes up for all the missing hp of the 1.6! Its a lot of fun this car!
@@rickyl2975 And how is it going? which version is it. Im playing with the thoughts of getting one of these as well. Could you help me taking a Choice ?
It's a good car, I always had American cars GTO, Impala and a grand prix and there was always shit going bad with them I spent thousands fixing them I got this one and I thought oh well it's gonna break it's a Hyundai but what a surprise after 200k miles the car still running and the only thing I changed were tires, oil and breaks and I don't baby the thing replace the timing belt after 100k miles is a smart thing oh and I never had a check engine light I may add
Kicks On Fire hey man, they are just springs from pedders suspension sitting on factory shocks - costs around 800 to buy/ install They are 17" rims on there now (the black ones) but the chrome ones you can see a picture of are 18s
@Allô français canadien I bought one two weeks ago! Loving it. Great first car. Will be costing me filthy money because of where I live, but it's worth it. I'm looking to get some things done and to get a K&N filter/cold air intake for a little nicer sound without overdoing it with some crazy exhaust that'll probably get obnoxious after a while.
Hi guys. I have a 2006 model of this car. Accident free done only 19.000 km with it. GCC specs, red color, mid options range, in stock shape. I bought this car from the dealership and used it for 18 months then I traveled and lived in another country and stored it till today. The car is as good as new. I would sell it for 7,500 USD The car is in Libya and can be exported anywhere.
really need some help, my mom has a tiburon that's worn but it can still be upgraded and built into something great, is it going to be worth it? it has below 150 on it
These cars have really bad aftermarket support, and you will put a lot of money into it for not much in return. You're best to enjoy the car either the way it is or with minimal mods (such as mine in the video), and saving up to buy something that's either more what you want stock, or something with better aftermarket support. Best of luck!
@@wangandriver it’s awesome!! I love her so much she’s a manual so she’s definitely fun, they get good gas and are so fun to drive! I definitely recommend
Does the 05 bumper fit on the 04 models? I much prefer the look of the 05 ones and the ones on my 04 is a bit worse for a ware and will need to get replaced anyways...
Jose Villegas Same, I'm getting mixed reviews for this type of vehicle. Some are "shittiest cat I've ever own" and others saying "one of the coolest cars I've gotten"

looks awesome I've had the two in my pic so far black one got rear ended their insurance bought the blue one mostly stock 5 speed by dc sport exchaust soon to have cai and headers can't wait
I've got a 2006 v6 GT automatic, it's the special one with the tan leather interior and blue paint. Love the car it's fun grippy and enough power when you want it, still strong in high gears. I've had issues with the electronics though, had to replace the BCM and a few sensors are bad throwing lights on the dash. :/ outside of that it's a great car and I love it.
Stock Its not slow at all but its not fast either idk. i have an 05 gt and it pulls nice. but i have a full exhaust system with headers and a cold air intake. which made a world of difference in the power.
For a $20,000 car it was awesome but let's not get crazy, it was looks then mediocre performance. I had an 06 from new and no complaints but definitely not the smoke being blown from the narrator lol.
Previous owner :'( they didn't take very good care of it - when I bought it, it hadn't been washed in months and has stains in the paint from where bird scat had been left for extended periods of time.
@@brotherscro i got two tiburons with 2.0 engine a 2004 and 2007 one, both under 100k miles on the internet is stated 129mph for the 2.0 Tiburon and i've tested it so trust me , it won't go over 140mph even If you keep it floored for 10 minutes 😂
@Allô français canadien mine too, 140 mph i guess is 225 km/h. 138 is 220, and i get to that if i'm alone with the car empty. But over 225 on a straight line no way...
Yep, I have a 2006 2.7 GTV6 = 330 HP @156K and a 2006 2.0 GSV4 = 200 HP @100K. Wo0ot! KDM owns. Both my cars are mint!! Sharks everywhere. They need to come back!!
