mkkravist11 your no fun at parties ,,, relax man .. only a suggestion to improve the videos = pleasing bigger audience = better carwow. England really trying their hardest to do everything oppositely to the rest of the European countries
@@mkkravist11 "Correctly have MPG" yet all the fuel stations have litre counters instead of gallons, so you don't actually know how many gallons of fuel you are putting in your car, so its a very useless measurement because you can't calculate it unless you have an MPG meter in your car. Admit the fact that the imperial system is dying and its pointless when 90% of all other measurements use the metric system in the UK. Metric is better, makes more sense and is easier to calculate but the British being British are too stubborn and traditional to change.
@@henzopereira5308 Ye it's quite stupid really, though you say that and yet they use metric for lots of things but will just not let go of the stupid imperial system in some areas of life.
Its weird that carwow gained so much popularity in such a short span of time and decline of viewership on carbuyer channel suggest that Matt is an important reason for that
@@user-ve9tu5rv6e In a way yes haha i agree but i mean carbuyer still had other hosts presenting and people watched their videos too but now even those hosts dont get as much views 🤔
I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I went with the Tucson because I wanted AWD. It has been one of the biggest mistakes. The first was getting a Hyundai. They don’t care about their consumers. My car has been blowing headlights- having electrical issues (my auto windows go back down when you roll them up, my rear windshield wipers go off whenever they want, my break light seems to go on and off at random. I have reached out because as a company they should only want the best products out there. I was told that “because my car is over 3 years old. There is nothing they can do for me. To bring it to a dealer and “see what I can get” for it. I owe more than it’s worth because one thing they don’t tell you when you buy a Hyundai is they depreciate way faster than you can make payments to survive. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI.
Carwow had been harsh on Hyundai.. first Kona, now Tucson.. how is it that such a nice looking practical functional value for money car like Tucson only gets consider grade, while ugly bloated overpriced RAV4 gets shortlist?
3:48 how many cars have bezel-less rear view mirror? how many cars have soft plastic on rear view mirror? NONE or close to none - especially in the same class. So complaining about it doesn't make much sense to me.
It's not that it's not bezel-less though that would be nice. It has exceptionally large bezels and the plastic is very very cheap compared to the interior and cheapens the look. I LOVE my Kia but this is one of the few things I wish they would improve.
Let me tell you something, unless you can afford the Audi Q5 forget the Sportage, 3008 and the karoq. Buy a decent spec Tucson and you will have with out a doubt the best car of the bunch. I drive 2500mls week in a variety of different cars.
@carwow The reason the vanity light has a "horrible old orangy colored bulb" is because that is the color of natural light. The color of the sun is orange, not white. For a woman putting on makeup, she wants to see how she would look in natural light. Bright white LED is not a natural light.
Natural light is white. Orange is on the warm side blue light us on the cold side white in the middle l. Film industry they use big white lamps for natural light not orange or blue. They use orange or blue when they want to express some mood or effect for artistic reason. The light there is halogen bulb coz it is cheaper and won't be used as much like in the middle so Hyundai can save some cents on every car. It is just how the car industry works
This car was such a pleasant surprise for me. It feels great to drive and to be driven in. I somehow feel like the Korean cars are getting so much better to live with than Japanese cars.
I know, right? Partnering with Krell was a fantastic move by Hyundai. It's a shame that loads of people, including Matt here, don't know the company. If they made it properly, it should blow any Bose, B&O etc. car audio system out of the water.
No, matt style is information so you yourself make a valuation. Doug has almost gathered a brand around his name, in a way which he decides what is best, what is not. I like matt more, he covers everyday driving and does not waste time
Wow. I am surprised with your verdict. The review is quite positive with a lot of achievements by the car. Interesting why it is just consider, not even shortlist, I thought it would be somewhat near go and buy.
Dear dude mat Watson is a BMW fanboy (or European car brand fanboy) because , he don't like South Korean manufactures car.. Especially Hyundai.. But if this car was BMW, (with same features) he definitely say to buy it🤣🤣🤣. Whenever South Korean cars are reviewed by Matt Watson , His stock verdicts are "Avoid,. Consider or short list..😃😃😃
Maybe it's because the Tucson lacks desirability and can't keep up with the Europeans when it comes to some aspects. In terms of clever practically features a Skoda Karoq is far superior and when it comes to design a Peugeot 3008 eats it for breakfast. Matt is simply showing his personal opinion, the fact that you don't agree with him doesn't mean that he is a bad journalist. In my personal opinion lack of desirability is actually a pretty big problem for Hyundai's entire range.
Fun fact though, is that Hyundais are both designed and built in europe now. Someone should let Mat know, he might start recommending them. Not everyone can afford the new bmws.
He's a very entertaining reviewer but he never gives good reviews to Korean or Japanese cars. It's a fact. They can be the best cars out there but they will barely get to a shortlist. And it's annoying how many times he plugs in a Skoda car in his reviews. Every review he will mention a Karoq or a Karmiq. Who even buys those cars?! This is a gem of a car and should either have been Shortlist or outright Buy.
I actually think the old-fashioned bulb on the vanity mirror may be intentional. The softer 'yellow' light is more flattering than the stark white light of an LED. Just a thought though.
4:38 Now you see me, and now you still see me, because they're hardly even 30% tinted😂

Hey Mat, great video as always! Don't mean to add to the workload but do you think it would be possible to add some headlights tests or night driving to the video or at least say if they're good or not? It makes such a huge difference for me when buying a car and I'd love to know how you'd rate the headlights on cars :)
@@clk9787 In your case it is better for the Audi Q3 - BMW X1 - Volvo CX40 - Lexus UX. The slightly more expensive brands but certainly not more reliable than the cars I want to see. But of course everyone has their preference... Respect for everyone's choice ;)
Seriously, I started watching Mat’s videos in 2012 when he worked for Carbuyer (and AutoExpress). I still remember the days you and Rebecca made video for CB and AE. 7 years later, he is ruling the car entertainment world, surpassing TopGearYT’s Organic Views in the past 30 days; Carwow has garnered over 40M views in the last 30 days! Love you Mat and your hard work ❤️❤️❤️
We had this vehicle in 2021 and it was a loan/lease vehicle, but when my granny died we had to return it because my gran was the person who paid for the loan/lease
I usually agree with Mat's verdict on most cars but having driven a Peugeot 3008 GT Line Premium and Tucson Premium SE extensively there is no way a 3008 is a 'Buy' and this is just a 'Consider'. Firstly to get similar trim levels at the top of the range you are paying ~£3500 more for the 3008 at RRP. I can't fault the Tucson much at all but there are things I just hate about the 3008, namely the steering wheel (it's simply uncomfortable to hold and use in my opinion), climate controls in infotainment are annoying, the 360 camera is a fake (no actual cameras on side mirrors) and it turns off all the time when you need it most while parking, then you need to reopen it in the infotainment vs an easy to access hard button in the Tucson. The lane keep assist in the Tucson is amazing while in the 3008 it only works if you are departing the lane, and even then it can't see the lanes a lot of the time. The cruise control controls are also in a terrible position in the 3008 (you need to memorize the buttons because you simply can't see them while driving). You also cannot put a postcode into the 3008's navigation. I could go on but I in summary I would definitely 'Buy' a Tucson while I would only 'Consider' a 3008.
Hyundai and kia is better than toyota mazda nissan and honda dont get me wrong i still love honda and toyota but look hyundai has better warrantee better design and better futures and better sound system
I've had a 1.6 dci 4wd Qashqai Tekna from new. It's now 2 1/2 years old. It has had numerous warranty repair/issues. Check out the many problems encountered on the Qashqai Owner's FB page. I am sick of it. I am currently awaiting delivery of a new Hyundai Tucson Premium SE 2 litre diesel Light Hybrid. From the extended test drive, it is far better than the top of the range Qasqai; and fitted with more safety kit. It is also larger.
I really like and appreciate the moment at 8:47 when you showcased the space between 2 isofix mounted child seats - for a family car that information is really, really important. Thanks Matt&Carwow!
This new format of videos is too fast... I understand why it is so, but I liked it more with previous format where we have links to more detailed videos, so you don't put so much information into 18-19 minutes... I also like that regular links to the car's competitors in class... Anyway...Thankful for your videos!
I love car news / reviews and I used to watch legitimately 10 different RU-vid car programs to get my fix. Now I only watch CarWow. 👍🏻 CarWow is best in game.
Please.... When will the 2021 review be out. Want to hear my favourite car reviewers opinion of it and see if I can fit bottles in the door bins! 🙏 Please and thank you! Also, thanks so much for your content, been watching a while and has really helped me
I have a Limited 1.6T trim that I bought in the US in 2016 and still love it. Though I don’t see that many improvements really in this 2019 version compared to mine, it’s still nice to see Huyndai kept making small tweaks where it could.
@@MsPietpaaltjes I'd like to try some of that glue you're sniffing, cuz the CX-5 is spec for spec barely 2 grand more. Which, name only one category. Looks. Interior. Handling. Quality. It's worth that 2 grand for only one of those categories.
Krell is the world’s leading car sound system manufacturers, meant for luxury car market, glad that they are here in the Tuscon Just kidding, I’ve never heard of it.
FYI Krell are a high Emerican based Hi Fi company who have been going for many years and their products are in the same league as Meridian and Naim... Tut tut, you should have done your research a little better!
Could anyone tell me which is the better choice the Kia Sportage 4th gen 2015 or this Hyundai Tucson? for a family of 5, that go on long journeys we live in Dorset and travel to London quite often, and next year we're looking to go on a European road trip for the first time? Our Honda civic is no longer suited, as it is close to hitting 200k miles, and the space in the back isn't great. Unfortunately our budget isn't big so need something reasonable? Amy recommendations would be appreciated, thanks.
OMFG, what is with Mr. Willison and his snarky strange childhood regressive issue with Hyundai, or actually anything other than JLR and Audi..???? HYUNDAI Corp. is an amazing car company, but he picks out the smallest little problem, never about reliability and great #3 car manufacturer in world...cheap nasty plastics, too big rearview mirror, etc. etc...and its with all Asian and American cars, moreso, Asian. But is always a glowing poptart when "reviewing"..? new German petrol guzzlers, and expensive junk JLRs..!! Mat u r a hot, but Europhoneyy much?
Drove one of these as a rental. 1.6 Deisel Auto 1. Good looking 2. Didn't like the satnav. But to be fair, I don't use car satnavs. I'd rather use waze or google maps on my phone. 3. I agree with Matt that changing tracks with those buttons are annoying but you'll get used to it. 4. Nice and easy drive. Very quiet.
Those old-fashioned bulbs are there on purpose and for a good reason. Their CRI en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_rendering_index is equal to 100, whereas CRI of LEDs is about 80 unless one uses some professional ones, but those are expensive. Every person looks better in the light of such an old-fashioned bulb than in the light of an LED, not only because of the warm tint of the former but mainly due to the fact that its light spectrum is continuous, in contrast to the spectrum of an LED, which has holes in it. Just try with an apple or any other food. You will immediately spot how ugly it looks in the light of an LED (even of a warmish one like those about 2700 K) compared to the light of an incandescent bulb. PS If you want to have LEDs at home it is worth making an effort and going for philips MASTER LED ExpertColor, for example, as those have CRI equal to 97. And if you like a colder white you can go for the 4000 K version (940), although I'd definitely recommend 927 (2700 K) or 930 (3000 K). See also en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_temperature
