MRS weighs in at about 2300lbs, and a Celica gts drivetrain with a close ratio six speed, lsd, and 180hp 2zz bolts right in. They are not to be slept on.
@DazzledStar Sure, however the VN has a better power to weight ratio vs the MRS stock for stock. Chassis and tires only go so far. For that MRS to accelerate the way it is. The MRS IS swapped.
@@guyderagisch4964 Yeah you are right, everything is a factor. Both driver and car. You can be the best driver in the world but some cars are just crutches.
As a person who races an MR-S you have to be very careful with the braking or you'll ruin your rhythm, and after running all day even with dedicated racing pads and rotors, brake fade will happen. I need to cut out a vent for my brakes to cool them off
I own both and I'd take the Veloster any day of the week. MR2 was fun but meh, no power for the uphill's - wondering what engine was in the MR. I also live in the Blue Ridge mountains as well so about 45 minutes to the dragon.
People always hated on the MRS, I own one and there's just nothing like it except a Lotus that costs 10x more. MRS weights only 2Klbs, rear wheel drive, manual, what more could you want? The 1ZZ engine sucks but that can be easily fixed with a turbo or K20/24. For under 20K you would have an unbeatable touge machine. Who would want to pay 100K for a Lotus that you need to crawl out of lol.
@@JNAMOTORSPORTSI Audi 1.8t swapped my MR-S making 300hp (100 more than the Techno Spirit Pro MR-S on Hot Version). This thing rips so hard on the uphill, it's very touchy on the downhill and my brakes burn up really fast. I need to invest in cutting out vents to cool off my brakes 😂
Just be happy people aren't doing a street takeover or something worse on the TOTD. On one of my Touge routes I use to go on people started doing street takeovers and it completely killed any chances of me going on that road again.
This is good driving lol. If you don't rip on the TOTD, then you're on the wrong road and should just go for a cruise around your neighborhood then sit in your garage and look at your car.
The Tail can be risky, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Place literally feels like Forza Horizon in real life. And I've only done it on motorcycles.
