No, it's 183hp with a 0-60 of 8.4 seconds for the pre-face lift which is what this model is. The facelift model has 201hp and does 0-60 in 7.8 seconds.

Lol, I have no idea where you are from, but here in the US, this car sells like hot cakes. Great vehicle, extremely affordable, and awesome value.

That's nice mate. But let's face it, people in america don't make very good choices.... cough cough Trump cough cough. But really, i'm not pissing on the car. I liked it when i saw it, but ultimately i didn't want the inherent pain in the ass of explaining the door configuration to people. And anyway, that Hyundai badge is still not what you might call prestigious. My wife liked it a lot tho' and i understand why. it's different. And that's sometimes good and bad, but here in europe it's not popular at all. It's a flop to be perfectly honest. Like i said, maybe it's just too different.

This has nothing to do with why the show was cancelled. Battling with prime time shows raking in more and stealing viewers like Top Gear, and channel 5 not wanting to invest in the show properly, was why it eventually got cancelled. And to think Jeremy has gone and thrown it all away by doing something so stupid just amazes me. It made it seem like it was all for nothing, and fifth gear were the ones who payed the price.

That de-tuned engine is shit. It's probably closer to 150 bhp. The Ceed and Proceed GT with the 200 bhp version of this engine are both waaay faster than this one. The difference is bigger than the additional 14 hp would suggest.

ManiPulatoR84 150 bhp with turbo torque would still be enough for sub 8 seconds. It’s the tires that are sub-par. Put some Michelin PSS on there.

@@interceptor-ss8kb, those were actually the only ones I saw around there, anyway; all the licence plates were varied, as were the wheels and colours. But you're definitely right on the Veloster being a flop over there; fifteen of those cars I saw were parked as if they were on sale around the time I was over there.

the euopean market is much more crowded with hot hatches than the US. here, The only competition the Veloster has in its price range is the Fiesta ST, and the 500 Abarth. And Ford just announced theyre discontinuing the Fiesta ST... so

I did - best car I've ever had.......too bad too many people were too blinkered to see just how good it was. I'd buy the 2019 version as my next car in a heartbeat if Hyundai had the balls to sell it in the UK.....

I'd be willing to pay $3500 more for a genesis coupe, too, if that were actually realistic. The starting price of a brand new 2016 genesis coupe and a brand new 2016 veloster turbo differs by 7 grand, my friend -- two different tax brackets. If you can afford to buy a genesis coupe, there is little reason to compare it against the veloster, but for those who may find it difficult to fork over an extra $120/mo, the veloster is a valuable alternative -- not to mention, with more available options than the genesis coupe.

You are COMPLETELY wrong. Been a car geek my whole life, my girlfriend has one, it's FABULOUS, and looks absolutely stunning. Great little machine. I think it deserved more - I'd give it a 9.5.

Yea, but you didn't -- interesting. You like some of their reviews, but the ones where they positively review a car that you dislike, you claim it a sales pitch? Cherry-pick much? If this were a paid advertisement, the reviewers would be fires for getting the HP completely wrong, since it actually puts out almost 20 more HP than they mention in the video and does 0-60 two seconds faster.

I have a Veloster, not a Turbo and its fabelous to drive. Its not a sportscar olny it drives so easy. The only minus you feel the bumps what more . For the rest i can say ,good car, good price, and its handles easy.

Have you ever driven one? With a couple of mods this car has a ton of potential. I would give it a 9 as well. Great little car, even more so for the price.
