Most unexpected thing ever. 5 stars in both adult occupancy and child safety. When Seltos/Creta scored 3 stars, we expected verna to score similar as it is built on the same platform as Seltos/Creta. Now this should usher in a new era for Hyundai. Hyundai will be unstoppable with 5 star rated cars. WAY TO GO HYUNDAI!!
@@aksvlogs9151 Verna is built on the same platform as seltos. So previous gen verna was expected to score 3 stars itself. Hyundai has probably upgraded the platform to make it safer, so the new seltos and creta should also score 5 stars
Being a Tata supporter, it feels amazing to see 5 stars in Verna. Hyundai finally worked on build quality. Such competition for safe cars is healthy for market and people.

@@kushagrchawla Oh really?? Virtus is way safer it has scored 29.71 with dual airbags where as 28.18 with 6 airbags with unstable body shell and the steering feed back ,stablity is better in virtus. I appreciate hyundai for this great achievement and really it's good score ,users would also get new choices!
@@fullgamerjiairbags doesn't add to score .seltos and carens both got approximately same score.and boy Verna is 1.5 lacs cheaper than virtus and slavia with higher resale and lower maintenance and parts. And virtus and slavia tested were with 1.0 turbo charged which is heavier and more parts than the 1.5 litre NA equipped Verna. The Verna turbo with more weight and more parts will get a slightly better score. Before you argue the engine used also matters in crash tests
@@arkaprabhamondal4441 base model is tested that's all and the airbags idea will not work on those car wich are highly unsafe. Safe cars which have good structure would definitely score higher with good amount of airbags for eg tiago scored 0 without airbags and then scored 4 with 2 airbags and duster scored 0 but scored 3 with driver airbags. Airbags play major role if the structure is strong

Old Verna was notorious for its unsafe platform,no matter g how good quality stainless steel they used...... It was a useless piece of crap.. But this new one... Wow. A sedan is performing better than a hatchback-suv in terms of Child safety as well. Awesome to see. Only thing to improve is the ABC pillars, because pole side impact shows some weakness.
Bodyshell and Footwell rated Unstable. However it seems like it did fairly well in protecting occupants. No major structural deformation like the Carens. Completely unexpected, good to know that even the new Verna is safe.
Kudos to hyundai for finally waking up and making #safercarsforindia ! This was totally unexpected as creta/seltos india-spec scored 3 stars in gncap crash test but now they came in with verna and 5 stars in both adult and child safety !!! Nice hyundai !
@@simplifytech1design is subjective, it sometimes grows on some people over time. I like the new design more than the older one, it's kinda refreshing in my view.
So the Verna has a better 0-100, 0-200, higher top speed, more features, better interiors, better ac and better resale. Only loses out on safety rating by 1 point and has a softer suspension but the n line will also address that. What will the VW chapris do now?
Even ScorpioN has 3 star Child Safety. This car has scored 5 star in that! Can't believe this car can protect your child more than a ScorpioN. Kudos to Hyundai!!! Verna is unstoppable!
5 str in Adult is very common this days But.... 5 str in child occupant is outstanding I bet, tata lovers would still prefer tata over this as the best build quality or safest car
Finally, one can own a car that is not only safe but also offers fuss-free ownership experience unlike TATA or VAG or Mahindra that are crippled with issues/niggles/unskilled mechanics and other service atrocities.
Accidents are scary. People should note that safe driving should be the ultimate goal than 5 star rated cars at high speed and thrill. These days people are buying safe cars just for the sake of it and ignoring that they have to practice safe driving as well.
2 airbags as STD but BODY SHELL STABLE :- Sub 10 lakh cars like tata altroz & punch's body shell - rated stable 10- 15 lakh :- Xuv 300 , Nexon 15-20 lakh :- VAG twins "Only car in 20 lakh segment to 6 airbags as STD yet it gets certified as UNSTABLE BODY SHELL is:--Hyundai Verna." If it has only 2 airbags fitment as STD then ?? Life is important - choose any car with STABLE body shell only. Coz at times when airbags don't open 👐 , then only the body shell integrity is what plays imp role. Although any 5 star doesn't mean one can drive like a maniac. I brag only for Safer Cars for India , Not biased towards any car manufacturer.
I'm seriously doubting gncap now. Im not getting whats the safety standards are. When the side is hitting the poles, the entire top portion is bending and collapsing. Is the body strong enough ?.
This was expected, The way in the launch video spoke about its Super Body Structure made of 50% Advanced High Strength Steel. Way to go Hyundai. Proud owner of New Verna and this rating was only missing feature while comparing with Slavia and Virtus.

On the other hand, the Verna was evaluated in its top-spec trim equipped with 6 airbags. Despite this, the Verna scored 28.18/34, one point and a half less than the Virtus's 29.71/34. Furthermore, the Verna's body shell was deemed unstable, while the Virtus's was stable.
Verna's adas will help to avoid any crash better than virtus and slavia without adas.and for 1.5 points it's not worth paying 1.5 lacs more and get less features, insulation and performance in terms of acceleration, slightly less space, and less reliability and resale

I got your point. However all Hyundai models now come with 6 airbags as standard. There is no variant with 2 or 4 airbags. Both are good cars at the end of the day.
Great achievement by Hyundai. But the Body Shell Integrity is rated "UNSTABLE". Guess this is the only can which scored 5 Star rating where the Body Shell Integrity was rated "UNSTABLE"
Tata and Mahindra will be in serious trouble now if new Creta also scores 5 Stars. That was the only reason why people compromised on Service Levels and Engine Refinement and still went for Indian Cos.
It's a strategic move by hyundai... sedan is not a fast moving segment nowadays atleast not in india...this can get some name to hyundai but the actual game changing thing for India lies in its hatchback, micro suv and suv segment....can hyundai bring some difference there as well ????
An even bigger slap on the face of VW and Skoda fanboys. It's faster ,cheaper,has more features,better resale , slightly more space,better cabin materials and insulation than those German sedans and still many VW and skoda owners and fanboys criticized this car for being unsafe ,called it tin ka dabba ,tubelight and what not
