Quick about me:
My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created playing FF14 online, so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. You can call me either one. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. And normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but have also taken inspiration from other dance artforms such as ballet, jazz, and tap. And how I got into K-Pop was because the main three groups, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, and SNSD. That followed with other things hallyu like korean dramas, variety shows, and the rest is history.

Why "Dance Teacher" even though you say "Dance Mentor"?
I actually consider myself both. I am not just someone who teaches dance, but I resonate more as a mentor who is there to help, train, or advise dancers to take steps into the right direction. "Dance Teacher" is a title that just makes it easier for newer people to understand what I do.
Do you actually know or speak Korean?
Baby levels. I've studied Korean 한국어 for 1 year when I was in community college. I can read and write in Korean, but I still have trouble speaking and formulating sentences.
Have you ever worked for any K-Pop artists in terms of creating choreography, backup dancers, etc.?
Yes, but not directly or in-person. I have partaken in K-Pop choreography submission projects/demos under the direction of dancers such as Pat Cruz (Kinjaz, The Company), Larkin Poynton (Project Home), and Alo Galedo (Brotherhood, The Company).

He's the king of facial expressions at least to me hehehe, and yeah he cut his hair, but my boy still looks good !!!! I love the way you point out the krumping, it reminds me of Lay (not too many idols incorporate that kind of dance so it's exciting to watch). But yeah he delivers every single time. Hyunjin said that doing this choreo felt like doing Thunderous x5 times in a row. It's super hard and tiring. You can watch the entire behinds the scene, where he's practicing the choreo for the first time. Tanks for your reaction and your appreciation on his dance.

For sure! I think there was a lot more movement, especially because it is based on a solo performance + having dancers around him. So I'm not surprised it'd be tiring! Haha

It's great that you watched the short interview clip, too! There's actually a longer video as well, with more behind the scenes stuff. You might not want to react to it (it's about 30 min), but if you're interested in learning more about this performance, it's definitely worth a look, even off-camera. And the track was arranged by VERSACHOI, a JYP in-house producer who has worked on a bunch of Stray Kids songs with 3RACHA, such as God's Menu and Domino, as well as the arrangements for their Kingdom performances.

First of all, I'm really happy to see a new skz video from you. Hyunjin worked really hard for this aotm, he prepared for it while promoting thunderous and domino. The choreographer and dancers posted on instagram to commend him for working hard despite his busy busy schedule. There is a 30min choreo record for this aotm if you are interested to see how they prepared for this aotm. I hope hyunjin could hear your words haha when you said about him having little years of experience, he has about 5 yrs now. Well it's because hyunjin is crazy about dance, like CRAZY. He really works hard when he wants to achieve something. All stray kids members are unique each their own but they're all very similar being genuine, passionate and hard working. You also noticed how soft spoken hyunjin is, all skz are the same, they are different (hard) on stage and (soft) off stage. They are a cool and fun group of people. I hope to see you react to more skz videos, it's okay to put high expectations when it comes to stray kids, they will always exceed it! And no, I'm not exaggerating. At first, i could tell you were hesitant to get into skz, maybe you heard bad reviews about them which i understand and won't surprise me coz they have a lot of haters. but I'm glad you opened your doors and gave them a chance. Thank you for checking into skz, the leader likes to monitor and watch reaction videos. I'm sure he would appreciate your feedbacks to their dance and performances. I loved your reaction and analysis specially the very last comment. I totally agreed his movements are very distinguishable. Even from his silhouette i can tell it's hyunjin which is rare not only in kpop but in general. You can tell from his old performances he is gradually developing his own style. Looking forward to more stray kids reaction in future

Thank you very much for your reaction. I really like how thoughtful you are with each dance, watch at least 2 times to catch all the details. That you correctly assess the complexity, because many people far from dancing were deceived by Hyunjin's ostentatious lightness and thought that crump and hip-hop were too easy choreography. I would recommend you to watch some of Hyunjin's dance covers and some of his fancams, as well as interesting group choreographies in which you will also definitely notice Hyunjin and of course appreciate the rest of the boys.
