I’m 50 years old Japanese man struggling with midlife crisis. Living in Japan harder than you think My new RU-vid channel of learn Japanese: / @isaokingking My contact: info@askjapan.work
Continuation Tory’s plan to double down on making life impossible. Look forward to a 25p increase in fuel this month which will increase costs on absolutely everything
@@Chasemcloud5745nothing to do party's lmao tory Conservative whatever they're all trash and they all follow the same garbage narratives. Convid, fake wars, etc
Hi 50 years old Japanese man. Me a 28 years old Canadian man ate homemade vegetables soup for dinner alone. I made the broth with 2 chicken carcasses and some spices like bay leaves, peppers corns garlic and onions. Wishing you well , take care
Carcasses sounds like a vulture or animal killed the chicken 🐔 s. In the usa 🇺🇸 we say leftovers, bones, left over scraps. Carcass has a tough overtone but very funny like a hunter or caveman. If it was said in humor then good one. That soup sounds delicious 😋 my mom makes it 1ce in a while. Great for the price n taste put Mr papa san up on some soup 🍲 game brothah.
The cost of living is sky high in the USA and McDonalds/Fast food in general isn't even worth it anymore. For the same price, I can buy food from an actual restaurant nowadays.
lol fast food is so ass too like the quality is worse and it’s more expensive also it’s fucking fast food it’s actually cheaper to get grocery’s vs fast food that’s the insane thing
Exactly tell em. If you get coupons then it's semi worth it 1ce in a while. I love jack in box carls Jr but like u said too expensive. Mcdonald's qualiry n size went to pot. Hey Aniki go to lotteria or Mos burger or Yoshinoya for us and you can I email u some dollar 💵 to yen 💴?
I agree with McDonalds and other fast food burger places. They are getting priced high by suppliers on the produce and beef. Employee wages and franchise fees cost a lot too. I find many of the grocery stores with hot buffets are cheaper than other places. It seems that way when I cost out four items of Chinese food at my local Asian supermarket. It is way cheaper than going to a sit down or take out at a Chinese restaurant.
McDonald's has already been statistically proven to be too expensive for the minimum wage. It's cheaper to make the food at home compared to the slop they provide.
A family of four, husband, wife and 2 children at McDonald's in California will cost $60.00. Very expensive. Housing is very expensive also. My niece rents a 3 bedroom house $7,000.00 Usd per month. Plus you have to pay for everything. Trash pickup, water, sewage, cable, phones, health insurance, car insurance, etc. It's overwhelming for most workers to make ends meet.
Its the same here in Australia we have had 13 interest rate hikes in the last 15 months in a row . Foods gone up crazy and rents are so high here many people who are working class are finding themselves homeless for the first time and our government doesn't care because they say inflation is still too high.
I love your videos so much. I’m a nerd when it comes to finance, I love the lofi-esque style, I love the reviews. I enjoy smoking my weed, playing a game, working, or whatever, just listening to your vids, thanks
Yes. Here in Belgium, it's also very expensive. Shopping for 2 people is about 200 euros per week, if one wants to eat healthy (we don't eat things like pasta, which is cheap, but not good for us).
You are not alone, everything in the US has gone up, especially FOOD. I haven't eaten at a McDon. in many months now, you'd be better off eating a more nutitionus meal at home.
McDonald’s used to be a guilty indulgence treat for a few dollars. Not anymore. Prices are way too high for the low quality of the food. I haven’t been in over 3 years.
Inner city, inner suburbs mixed with business, outer suburbs with business, rural with mixed suburbs, farming. rural/farming Mountainous regions and islands with very little population (generally) Those are the general areas of the country. He’s in a outer suburban area
Seems food is still relatively cheap in Japan compared to other countries. Those McDonald's meals in Canada would cost cost around 35 dollars CAD (26 USD).
I agree. Fast food was a cheap, fast alternative to preparing a meal. Now you can eat for a day cooking at home with what you will spend at fast food restaurants.
As a Japanese person, I find it hard to believe that he chose a variable-rate mortgage during Japan's period of unusually low interest rates. The fixed-rate mortgage I paid off two years ago was at 1.8%. I can’t understand why he opted for a variable rate when it’s almost certain that rates will rise.
So the $14 dollars you spent, in America you'll get only half of what you got at McDonalds here. I understand it's all relative but costs are going up everywhere in the world. I was just in Japan 2 weeks ago for 12 days and my money was able to stretch so far. Oh and that Tsukimi fua-fua burger is soooo good.
In Canada inflation has hit most families hard. In some cases for those who rent apartments, the majority of the household income goes for rent. Then there is utilities, food, transportation, clothing, etc. It is more brutal for anyone with kids. They cost a lot too. The most important thing to avoid at this time is debt. That takes away any desired disposable income. And avoid divorce at all costs. Some men end up losing over half their assets and income in a divorce. Then both the husband and wife suffer along with the kids. In both cases the standard of living will be lower than before.
50-san, you said the 0.25% increase meant that your monthly mortgage would increase by 49 dollars. Are you sure you didn't miscalculate? Because that'd mean the original mortgage was 19.600 us *per month*! It surely can't be that high! If your original pay per month is, say, 2000 dollars, the increase of 0.25% means an extra 5 dollars per month only. Please, check your calculation. It could ease your mind. I hope you see this comment.
I have never seen this guy eat all that wonderful healthy japanese food. How does he look so good and healthy and skinny, eating all that processed crap junk food all the time? Pepsi, dorrito's, ice creams, pizza, left over italian food, noodles, all garbage he eats.
You see this is cities like Tokyo. Locals line up sometimes for over an hour for western restaurants or takeaways. However the really good Japanese food is not as popular with younger Japanese. I loved the food in Japan. Very healthy compared to Canada or the U.S. Same with the food in Korea and Vietnam.
Can’t imagine what the future medical bills will be with that kind of nutrition. 50 years old Japanese man, take care of yourself. Us Samurai’s must stay healthy and strong.
Here in my country Brazil, everything you bought at McDonald's would cost 17.77 dollars. Detail that the minimum wage, which is what most citizens receive per month, is 280 dollars
Very cool train toys! Japan has cheap MacDonald's: AUD4.75 vs AUD6.60 here in Australia. There's an interesting phenomenon called The Big Mac Index released by The Economist that not only compares the price of the burgers from country to country but also measures the purchasing power parity (PPP) between two currencies. According to this, the Japanese Yen is very undervalued.
Same here., I strongly agree that the Bitcoin ETFs approval will be greatly life opportunity for us, with my current portfolio of $102,500 from my investments with my personal financial advisor Steven Hatzakis I totally agree with you😊
YES!!! That's exactly his name (Steven Hatzakis) so many people have recommended highly about him and am just starting with him from Brisbane Australia...🇦🇺
He's my family's personal Broker and also a personal Broker to many family's in the United states, he is licensed and a FINRA AGENT in the United States.
Investing has proven to be an Incredibly beneficial decision. My cryptocurrency profits continue to play a substantial role in growing my overall wealth, reducing my reliance on my salary
McDonalds is not cheap in Canada either. A Big Mac combo with fries and a drink with tax is around $15 CAD. But that is a similar story if you buy at Wendys, Harveys, A&W, or other places. Some burger combos are over $20 CAD.
honestly just keep making these types of videos of you ranting about mid life crisis and eating some delicious food, easy views Mr. 50 years old Japanese man.
In my country Finland that would have costed minium 40 euros. Finland is one of the most expensive countries with bad salaries and very big taxes on everything.
I think you are holding on way too tight! Get your blood work checked and get your testosterone levels checked. You look good for 50, have a younger healthy wife and two very young kids…you are under stress but I see you as very blessed. Don’t let the financial world ruin your mental health or your family
安いですよ!It is much cheaper than where we live! We live in Hawaii. One crispy chicken sandwich and medium french fries were $11 last Thursday. 😢 This was for my child. I didn't buy anything for myself. I cought cold so I didn't have energy to make dinner after work.
With all respect is there a way to stop the mortgage on house till 78 years old ? Here in New orleans fast food has increased in cost and half the size...many are boycotting them here..
I lived in Japan during the 2011 - 2013 years. I realized very quickly that you can't teach Japanese people anything new and even when you point out something that they are doing incorrectly, they will always answer by saying 'That's how we do things in Japan'.
mcdonalds too expensive here in california now. if im gonna be spending $15 for one meal i may as well buy good ingredients from the grocer and make it at home
I sincerely hope you are not as gloomy and dark as you seems to be on video. Hope for you, your wife and kids. Oh and btw for people who are basing their view on today’s Japan with his videos, life here is not as hard as he says. He is just a depressed man (on video I hope for him) who see everything in dark where reality is much brighter. Yet grey nuances, but still grey. To me he sounds like those Japanese people who hate Japan and idealize western counties wanting to go living abroad someday but stuck in their life like there is thousands of them.
Not only do you speak English but your family eats McDonalds once a week. You’re practically American. Come move here to Los Angeles. A lot of Japanese here.
Pretty sad. I wonder if he ever brings back healthy, nutritious food? Seems like he puts no thought into what they eat for lunch on the weekends, while the wife cooks dinner for them 5 days a week. I’m surprised his wife eats that crap as well….😞
Time for another round of garbage for the family lunch. Maybe Mcd's is better quality in Japan, cause here in the U.S. its trash. Havent been there for a lot of years, along with any other fast food other than maybe Qdoba occasionally.....at least there I can tell them what I want on my burrito.....can load up with those sauteed veggies! Quit feeding your kids that crap, you are stunting the development of their brains. Think Im joking? Dont.
Thanks for setting him straight I didn't have hart to do it. What's Qdoba? Sounds like Filipino fast food or is it like Chipotle? I'm glad you care about him n his fam. Eventhough your comments have a slightly mean twist. Yes mcdonald's has gone way down in quality n size in the bad ol u.s. of a or should we say hay?
