I bought two ex-large cloches from a guy cleaning out a storage unit- he didn’t know what they were- got them for !!$3.00!! each- I’ve used them for so many seasons & decor😉😉

Happy New Year 2024 Julie and family. Your 2 grandchildren are precious. The dress and black purse are beautiful. I am glad your daughter found clothes and a toy for her children. Today we celebrated 3 Kings Day 1.6.2024. It brought us our 1st snow. I went outside and took photos and videos. I even took my selfie to share all of it on my private Facebook. Our daughter and my husband wanted to stay warm inside and see the snow through the window. I love snow and was so excited after not having it for 3 years in Pennsylvania. Blessings.🥰

Ryan is ADORABLE! I always loved it when shopping with my kids and seeing families shop at Goodwill. My daughter just sent me a photo of something she bought during one of our special Treasure Hunts at Goodwill when she was 6. My daughter is 38! She still has it! Made me cry! I LOVE Goodwill! ❤️

That wooden box signed inside by Enid Colins is a vintage purse worth some money. It did look like it was missing the handles. I would have bought that for resale. I totally agree with you that January is the best time of year for thrifting especially for clothes.

Take a hand sander to the cutting board or have your husband "plane" it if he has a planer in his workshop. Whenever i find old cutting boards ir old pieces of board i sand them. Makes them like new.

Hi Julie, Welcome back!!! You asked what we are looking for. I'm on the hunt for a solid glass Christmas tree with a stipe of green running up the middle. I have two that I have had for years but I would like another one. I have a big collection of Christmas village houses which I keep in two big curios. I use trees to add depth to the houses. I use glass trees and fake evergreen trees. I could get the glass tree online but I am not willing to pay what they are asking. I'm cheap in some things. :)

I love the salt and pepper shakers, I would have grabbed the little ones with a litte silver tray in a bag on the end cap. That set would look cute on a stack of books. Happy New Year r to you and yours. Oh, I went to goodwill two days ago and found a one gallon crock for 5.99, you bet that came home with me.

I usually look for wooden or metal items that I can easily makeover if needed. I tend to stay away from wicker type things because I have hardwood floors and furniture babies lol and plus I feel they are harder to keep clean and dust or fur free.

The dress really is cute, and love the bag too! I went thrifting for my first time this year earlier this week and found quite a bit of things that i was excited for. Now I'm itching to go again, but it'll be awhile🫤just had to come down with my first cold of the winter so I'll be staying in until I'm better. Enjoyed today's video!

Hi Julie..I have not seen you but you popped up on my feed. I took a break to from thrifting, because like you I don’t resell. I get overwhelmed if I am not careful. I love the salt and pepper. They are old and beautiful. I too , was thinking I would have had to get the wood cutting board, to use in different ways. The dress is an Amazon brand. People say it is one of the nicest brands and one that has better quality. The purse is darling. We hit our first estate sale in well over six weeks and we got an old old little cabinet, an old big mirror that is gorgeous and many old books to use as risers. I got a cooking, housekeeping book with a 1908 date. Happy New Year and Happy thrifting. I am glad all the family found good deals too.

Hello Julie, yes, I’m a sucker for salt and pepper shakers too. I love the cutting board and it would not hurt to give it a bit of a sand. Out of glass, marble, stainless steel, plastic, and timber cutting boards, studies have shown that timber is the most bacteria safe. Go figure. ❤ from Australia.

I am not looking for anything this year. I have more than enough and time to let most of it go. Instead of donating to places like Goodwill & Salvation Army I am giving things to local young women who are building their resale businesses. Almost everything I have is vintage or rustic...some mid-century and coastal cottage. I love to thrift, but rarely buy except for interesting gift items. . I do need an outdoor weather proof storage cabinet and hope to find one before summer. Oh..and books! Will be looking for a dozen of those! 😂

Cute, cute family!---I'm slowly accumulating unique glass pieces to silicone together to create a tower to put in my garden. We saw so many garden sculptures on our Mississippi cruise this autumn. They were all mouth blown, so I'm cheating by purchasing items! Julie, i absolutely love you. I have a thrifting sickness, cant stay out of the thrift stores they all know me by name. I wish u vould come over and help me decorate lol . I wish our Goodwill was like this. Ours is overpriced. Sometimes you might find something cheap enough in it and where I live I don’t have bins think they have some on the coast but that’s like 45 minutes away to an hour.
