I have that same drawing saved somewhere. Planned on building a few consoles using an MATX case and xbox firmware flashed DVD drives. Still not sure what case to go with. Don't want it to be too big.

The new USB-PD standard actually can handle 200w, doubt we will see a full 5A output powerbank though

I think you got that "diode" on the wrong side of the regulator. It may cause parasitic drain.

Isn't is supposed to be between the power brick and the other components? Wdym wrong side?

The switching regulator is taking some current back out of the battery when it’s not being used, so moving the smaller red pcb (referred as an ideal diode) between the battery and the regulator should be a better solution :)
