I buy my habanada seeds from Row7seeds.com but they usually sold out, so here's an Amazon affiliate link: amzn.to/3uvLZ26 While you're looking at helpful links, here's one more: www.patreon.com/shaq
I'd never seen the "silly little looping trick" before (I don't normally watch Shorts) so when he said that, I thought he meant the way he twirled the half-eaten chile.
Jokes on you, i watch youtube on my computer and avoid the shorts/reels/whatever all together. If I don't get a timeline to scrub through, I don't watch.
I once bought a habanero plant not knowing what it really was. I bit ate the whole thing in one go. Can't say I didn't regret it since my heat tolerance isn't very high. At least I wasn't worried before taking the bite, so that's... um... nothing.
I need to figure out how try one of these! In Venezuelan cuisine (and likely surrounding countries as well) we use a lot of a pepper we call aji dulce - yes, translates to a thing you can find here in the States but I've tried those and they're not at all the same thing - and it looks a lot like a habanero but very, very mild - I think Scoville on it is supposed to be like 50?
This sounds amazing! I have often thought how great it would be to have a mild habanero that still has the delicious fruity flavour. Great to see it is actually a thing!
My ass feels smart for guessing that it was a mild habanero, and I love the idea of that kind of chili too. They have such a bright, fruity flavor. Nice!
Imagine two months later you’re eating a shitton of these and you see that guy on the news "Man went crazy and shat his stomach because he ate extra strong pepper, delayed effect still very much deadly" lol
The "silly looping trick" remark at the end and the consequent roasts/sarcastic and cynical comments section about this social media phenomenon are how I know I've found my exact kind of people with Internet Shaquille 💖
Peppers are not pollinated by bees/insects. It actually takes the wind to pollinate. You don’t have to use a brush to pollinate them, just give ‘em a few vigorous taps on the stalk whenever you walk past. That will self pollinate them.
I grow these every year. One of my favorites. The first taste is always scary because that signature Habanero flavor tells my brain that the pain train is coming, but it never does.
Sounds awful. Lol but then again, this is the person that thinly slices habernero and eats them raw. Im a spice hound. 😜 But actually that's pretty cool.
Flawless I couldn't tell the cut, but really a heatless chilli would be great to cook with. I can eat up to upper-mid heat but I personally don't like it, especially when the next day happens.
Save your money on a paint brush and just shake the plant a little bit or put an oscillating fan in your grow tent. You will save time before your flowers drop.
Chilli plants flowers are self pollenating. Meaning all the flowers have all the parts in it to create a fruit. Don’t need to use a brush to brush stuff from one flower to the next which you have to do with some fruits. It’s plenty enough to just give a pepper plant that is growing inside a gentle shake or two. And it can be gentle, just get the flowers moving a little bit is plenty enough to get the pollen moving. Some take a electric toothbrush and hold the spine the tooth brush part against the stem of the plant. Do that for a second or two, and you can potentate hundreds of plants with loads and loads of flowers in each plant, in like two minutes. But yes chilli plants are among the hardest and most demanding vegetables to grow, that also takes ages and ages at every single step. But it’s fun because it’s not the sort of plant you plant a seed and then it sort of takes care of itself. But one where you are probably going to need to baby it in some type of way atleast once per week, and you paying attention and putting effort in really makes a huge difference on how the plant is doing. And if you can grow a chilli plant and get it to produce fruit, then you probably will be able to grow most things, that are a lot less challenging.
you should make shorter shorts i think they will go more viral, you got such a great voice and as i personally love your shorts i think shorter ones would blow up if you made em saucy enough 😉
