Hey Peach I been subscribed to you for awhile and I really enjoy your videos and I never really comment on them but this one here I just had to say something to you.. I can relate to you so much on your relationship with your mom because me and my mom have a rocky relationship and it's been like that since I was little as well I always felt like the black sheep out of the family my 2 older siblings have the same dad and I'm the one with a different dad and my mom divorced from both my dad and my siblings dad and growing up my mom would pick on me about alot of stuff my weight everything you can name it she would make me feel insecure about myself and she loved to pick arguements with me over little stuff and I always felt like she had some anger towards me I was also dealing with abuse from my stepdad when I was 6-8yrs old and could never tell my mom because she had damage me so much to where she made it hard for me to talk to her about anything because I was so scared she would start fussing at me and make me feel like I'm the problem.. so when my stepdad got out the picture I was happy hoping maybe our relationship could get better but it's like it got worse my mom was a single mom most of the time and I felt that that is where the anger came from but even then I just truly feel in my heart that my mom went thru something when she was younger she lost her parents at a young age and was the youngest of 14 siblings and when I got older she would say one of her sisters treated her so badly but she would never tell me what was done so whatever may have happened to her I feel like that is where it came from but who knows but dont get me wrong I love my mom dearly I just dont hang around her alot because if I do she slowly starts back saying things to me like she use to when I was younger and my peace is so important so instead of allowing her to hurt me or make me angry I just leave let her know I love her and go on about my business..now that I'm grown married with 2 daughters I pray to God every single day to help me break that cycle and not treat my daughters how I was treated I make sure they know I love them I always let them know that they can come to mommy and daddy whenever they need to talk and I just spend time with them as much as I can.. Sorry my comment was long and this ain't even the half but I just wanted to say you are not alone I know how you feel and I pray to God that he continues to heal your spirit because just cuz you are older now doesn't mean that the pain and hurt is gone it goes with us until we give it to God and ask him to heal us so I pray that God can heal you in every area of your life much love to you Peach and I enjoy your content and just want you to know you have my support keep doing great things 💜💜
Dear supporter I read your whole heartfelt replie And I want to personally talk to you,to say I am ,was, is a mother of 2 adult kids 1boy 1girl +💔👶🏽a Grandson that I have not seen in this year will make 8 years he was 2 last I seen him💔 and my Beautiful daughter 💔 I have no excuse for my over controlling defensive personality i can only say I came from a mom at 2 who's was watched by the courts Again at 3,by 6 I had 3rd degree Burns all over the front of my torso,unreported for weeks until the school stepped in at this point was removed from the home with all my siblings never to return, aged out the system and grew up trying to find my way and trying to learn how to love female's my daughter,and trying to pull I love you out my mouth because I really did And I really did love my daughter I just felt so strange saying it having never heard it from my mom or grandmother. I was verbally abuse,no patience single parent overworked and too tired to even stay awake for game night at home with my two kids,my daughter felt her brother 7 years older,different father's was loved more then her,and I just want to say this it was never about the father's and treating one kid better,because I grew up with my daughter's father we played together as kids,and I grew up in love with him😍🙏🏽 Unlike my son's father But I tryed in the best way I knew how,but big bd partys,nice gifts,fancy hair styles, xm dinners Thanks G partys,graduation party's with DJ and all was nothing if didn't just slow down and take time LISTEN!! Stop the YELLING!! be still and just grab my precious sweet young daughter and hug her and just be (present !!) in each unhappy moment, disappointed, disagreement JUST BE THERE FOR MY CHILD But I never was,until my child was grown-up, and gone I grew up then!! Yes!! The stigma is REAL and it’s from our OWN PEOPLE! I have 5 all by the same person and I’m married. My mom literally treats me like I’m sleeping with men all over the city. It’s so sad.
Peaches, I'm almost 70 and childless. If you need a new mom, I'd definitely adopt you and your kids. I would love to have a daughter and grandchildren. You are such a blessing. I am extremely proud of you. Keep loving on yourself. You got this. God has you covered. Please know that blood and family names do not make you family. It makes you related -- makes you relatives. Let me tell you something my therapist told me “You cant expect your mother to give you something she never have”. It’s ok to love her from a distant for your peace of mind.
Yes!!!! I have the same relationship with my mother. She didn’t have a good childhood or a loving mother. In turn my mother sees no value in having a large family, me homeschooling etc. she has no desire to be “that grandma” to my kids etc. We have to rise up and be the women we need and our children needs. Covert narcissistic abuse is one hell of a black hole. It’s endless and all you can do is get as far away from those ppl as possible. It sucks that it’s usually family that does it. I’ve been struggling with the truth of my own mother being a covert narcissist… always waiting for to just love me and show me some affection. I instantly started crying, because her stories are so similar to mine. The pain is real. Even as a 54 year old woman I still struggle with the stories. Thank you for calling it out for exactly what it is. Understanding the traits of the trauma I have experienced has helped me to start my own journey of healing. The only thing is all the stories are scares that constantly remind you of the trauma that you have experienced. I pray for healing for everyone that has been affected by trauma ❤
@@chillinwconnie6272 no, trauma is a long lasting deal. Just about life long if people don’t figure out how to heal. Being triggered by a multitude of things makes life an even crazier roller coaster and healing from trauma that is not acknowledged and is ignored when that is a root cause of the trauma- is re-traumatizing. When you hear “trauma”, maybe try to think of a very young, very dependent child not really ever getting what they needed and not being able to understand why, all while being told things like “you’re crazy” or “stop trippin, nobody’s doing anything to you.” When I was a child myself I found it impossible to fathom the things that would happen. I still have trouble now because my development was tainted by trauma. I hope this long behind paragraph helps lol.
Girl I am 53 and this speaks to me. I do believe there is something wrong in our community. Black mothers attack their daughters psychologically. They elevate their sons. I don't understand it. I just, this year, I put distance between myself and my mom. I heard I'm proud of you always followed with gaslighting. My son had to open my eyes that it was narcissistic abuse. My life has been tremendously peaceful ever since.
I feel you Sis but I am encouraging you to love yourself and live your life even if you have to cut people off and out of your life I'm telling you there's peace at the end of that road trust me I know ❤️✌🏾🙏🏾
To bring a child into this world and to not love them the way they deserve is really crazy. Peaches McIntyre, you are beautiful, you are enough, you are loved, you are smart. I had to deal with this type of behavior, and it does hurt. Hurt people hurt people, but that is no excuse. People don’t even know you love you. That means you are meant to be loved, and you are lovable.

Sadly your mom is jealous of you and sees you as competition. Sadly this goes on a lot in the black community I know far too many women who experience this same situation but you are a beautiful woman and good mom from what i see. I'm not black and idk a lot about the differences in our cultures but no one deserves mistreatment from anyone like you get from your family. I've done a lot of trauma recovery therapy and boundaries are key to our mental and physical health. Please love yourself and follow your son's advice ❤

Sis, my husband asked me one day how come my phone don't ring. Meaning, why my family don't call me. I have 4 siblings. I explained to him that I was born into a very toxic family and choose not to deal with them. Sometimes it's best to cut your losses. All blood ain't family, sis. That's on period. I deal with the same thing I have 2 brothers I'm the only girl I don't deal with them they are toxic in so many ways but they blame me for how things are it sent me too therapy they ruined my life but will never admit it .

Dang!!!! This hit hard!!!! I experienced most of this in my life. When my Grandmother passed, I felt like the only one that cared about me had gone. I was the only child that would be home by myself, especially during the summer while my other siblings were out on trips and having fun. My sister got pregnant, and I was left in the house taking care of my niece and my little brothers. I was also the 1st to graduate from High School. Now, everyone is looking to me to help them out of their situations while still talking about me behind my back. This hurts like hell! Thanks for sharing 💙

I feel you. I have experienced some of the same type of abuse in my OWN family. We as black really need to take a stand and start a kindness movement. For us to practically live in the church, we sure don't know how to treat each other. Its ashamed and i hate it. It needs to stop.

Life becomes a little easier when we realise people love the way they are loved taught. So much of your story is relatable. Breaking family cycles and dysfunctions are never easy. They even turn you into the enemy. Remain strong and break those cycles.

This is me you described. I'm healing still. 😌 and I made sure that it didn't repeat itself in my son. I speak to my mother often. I've prayed and forgiven her a while ago. But she still hurt me with some words that she ended up apologizing for 5 minutes later. I can't forget....But I forgave. But I'm still healing.🤷🏽♀️

Everyone goes through something in life I know you want a bonded sometimes with your mom but what she does what she did you have to put it behind you just be happy for yourself and your kids and your husband no matter what they went through people go through it all the time everyone is not always happy I always have to tell my kids that too someone is going through a rougher time than you are so be happy and God bless you

It was over 40 years of hatred from my "mother" and I tried soooo hard to keep it together even when it came to me letting her and others disrespect me. At this point girl, cut them off. Some will never change. I know what you're going through and how you feel. Titles do no make you family or loved. I can feel your pain bc it is mine. DO NOT LET THEM CONTINUE TO DO THIS TO YOU! You deserve way too much than they will ever know how to provide. Love you, nurture the little girl inside that everybody overlooked. I sensed you were the black sheep and neglected watching your other videos. The signs were there. From the relationship with your husband to even the amount of children you have. I knew because I know what it looks like. I feel like you’ve settled. You deserve sooooo much more! There’s a lot I could say but what I will say this, please don’t feel obligated to have a relationship with her or anyone in your family who keeps mentally and emotionally abusing you! My older sister does this to me all the time. The same thing your momma does to you Peach. For example, I have some serious health issues going on. I see my specialist on the 27th of this month. I asked my older sister to keep my youngest son who’s three years old. I’ve been in and out the hospital for the last two years up until currently. She said no I’m busy. I’m the black sheep for sure. It’s been going on seven years since I’ve been invited to any family gatherings or holidays. My family gathering and they cut me out. I was cut out of my older sister’s wedding because my other older sister is jealous of me breathing. I’m just telling you this because I overly understand.❤️☝🏾💯 blessings and love to you Peach. Yes I remember as a child, black people making fun of my hair, and here recently on my Last job black women making fun of my hair. Giving me hair books and cards to go see a beautician to get fake braids in my hair, and I live in a hot state where the temperature are in the 100's and they want me to walk around in braids all day at least with a wig you can take it off when you get home, braids are stuck in your head...why are black women ashamed of what God gave them...stop being brainwashed and see your beauty, your beautiful without all that stuff

Stop putting them in adult styles because your afraid of what others think when they wear their natural hair. I wear my afro and get the most compliments when I do. Your mom is awful! Leave her alone. When you said she never purchased your first book I was done. When you said she wasn’t supporting your RU-vid dreams and she wasn’t watching your channel, and nobody would watch you, I was out done. Leave your toxic mother alone! Hi Peaches This particular video hits home, just wanted you to know that you are helping who have been through or are still dealing with rocky relationships with their mom, one of the best things i did for myself was forgive my mom for years of verbal and physical abuse and especially the hurtful statement made to me regarding my deceased twin brother at birth. Protect yours and your children’s energy and continue loving your mom and other family members from a difference.💕
Your hair is beautiful. I love it frowed out like that. My best friends daughter is half black and she got a lot of hate from women saying “women shouldn’t have black babies if they cannot take care of their hair” but really her fro was beautiful and natural and as a teenager she wears it natural and she is drop dead gorgeous. So to each their own live and let live. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Peaches, there is a lot of mental illness on the black community. No one talkes about the fact that your whole family is crazy . Every body acts like it is normal to be mentally ill but it is not. And yes they can see the Glory of God on you and they are jealous of you. You remind me of me before I got saved for real. Baby I can write you a book on family and the demons that control them. My momma mistreated me because my daddy walked away. My sister father I seen him treat my momma like shit but she hangs out with his wife and calls him her best friend.
Peach I see my whole life in you. I was told my mother was my sister until I was 9yrs old. My mother always told me she hated me and now even in my late 50's, there is still no change. My great-grandmother great-grandmother raised me a protected me from everyone who tried to harm me. Only difference is I don't know who my father is..my mama said she'll never let me know who he is. It's ok to vent. Screw the haters ❤🙏🏽
I’m the black sheep in my family also I had to distance myself from them bc they are toxic and it’s been a lot of abuse and betrayal. It’s not easy and it will take a toll on you but by the grace of God he has protected me. You stay strong and I’m praying for you. Anything that disrupts your peace get it out the way and that goes for family, friends etc. 🙏🏽 🙏🏽 🙏🏽
I definitely understand peach. I have been going through that with my mom and with my kids I’m changing that! I want my kids to know I’m here to love, protect and respect anything they come to me about. Love you was able to talk about this.

Peach you’re not wrong for how you feel. I have a strained relationship with my mom as well and it has taken now with me being grown that I now interact with her. Sometimes you have to cut people off and deal with them with a long handled spoon. I don’t hate her. I say hi, ask how she is and all but I don’t get close to her to where she’s able to hurt me again. It’s so sad that the people closest to us hurt us the worst. I pray for your healing 💛
This video spoke to my soul in a way you’ll never know and that I can’t explain!! I say the same exact sentence when I decide to wear my hair in it’s natural state! This is how my hair comes out of my scalp!! It be your own people…literally!! And yes, we have to learn to love people from a distance. New subbie!

Damn. I always felt as though I paid that woman to be my mother. My father just died and my world SPUN bc he was my mother/father. A HARD task for a man to achieve but, he did it. It’s hard for me to have female friends bc it started with my mother first. I am trying to break my family’s curse especially being “MOLESTED “. Reading the Bible is opening my eyes and a lot of praying love. We will get there… one day at a time

I’m just speaking from experience this video touched me because I’m struggling too with my relationship with my mom! I say this all the time. I learned this early in my teens. And having this perspective changed how I view people (in a good way). If someone has never had empathy or love towards them they won't know how to give it. I do think with Peach and her mama it's more layers to their relationship because the mother shows love towards her siblings.

Seems to me she doesn’t display love or affection towards them either it’s surface love and they take the momma how they can get her, she’s not displaying unconditional love too them she’s giving them I’m doing this for you 💁🏽♀️ what will you give me or what do you have for me in return love. I mean I’m on the outside looking in I could be wrong 😑 it’s just what I’m hearing and what I’m feeling based on a perception that’s being told too me. They all could very well have different accounts of how their mom treat/treated them and the mom could say I treat/treated all y’all as best as I knew how. She very well could’ve thought she was getting something outta the deal or just got herself caught up with Peach you know I don’t know 🤷🏽♀️ women do grimy Shit then blame the kid all their lives for you choosing to be a fast ass cause you could’ve kept your legs closed 😒 she said her dad family owned a business maybe she was chasing the money the way Peach broke all the siblings dads down they all seemed to have coinage at some point 🤔I hear jealousy all in the stories she’s told but hey some parents are jealous of their children superseding them it’s a hard pill but it’s the truth and it’s disheartening.

People forget that moms are people too. They have issues like jealousy, envy, depression etc. I think your mom sees something in you that she doesn't see in herself and she's envious. You have such a beautiful soul and there's alot of people who don't. You're a go getter (entrepreneur/ hustler). Your mom works for someone else and might resent it. You're a wonderful mom. You've mentioned you were raised off and on by family members. You and your siblings have different dads. Your children have one. See what I'm getting at. I don't believe in dogging out anyone's mother and I'm not bashing her at all but she might be envious of you. If you watch your lives you can see a certain look in her eyes when you interact with you subscribers and you're mentioning cash apps. It was strange to me. Its hard to understand but moms can be haters too. As painful as the situation is there is still alot of love between you two or you wouldn't deal with each other at all. I don't think she dislikes you at all. I think she's struggling with herself. I pray you two can work through it. But let me tell you this no ones lives forever. You two are so used to feuding and being able to reconcile. But there's gonna come a time when you will either feud or reconcile for the last time because unfortunately life ends unpredictably. And at that time all of this will seem so petty because you either be looking at her in casket or she'll be looking at you and ALL yall with be thinking about is wanting that person back. Im not trying to be morbid but this is a fact.

Peaches I wish we could talk on the phone because I have been through this and still have issues with my mom. But you have to love you more and not let what people think bother you. When you realize that she is hurt and that your mom will never be the mom you want. You are an adult and so is your mom and because of that SHE WILL NEVER CHANGE UNTIL SHE GETS HELP!!! My dad told me you have to stop wanting and looking for acceptance from your family and live for you. This plays into your marriage more than you think. Also in other areas of your life. Oh we need to talk because its goes so deeper and I would love to give you the knowledge that was given to me and helped me. I feel your pain. My mom hates my dad and I suffer because of her one night stand. He has never done anything for me but I love him because that's what I'm supposed to do. Honor thy mother and father and that's what I shall do for my blessings. Everything comes out her mouth is negative just because he didn't want her. I feel ya sister and much love to you. Hi Peach, I’m a new subscriber, so I’m late seeing a lot of your content…this made me love you and support you for life!!!💞🌸 I have a daughter your age who I love with all my heart!!💞 and my mother has always treated me like your mom treats you. She has worked very hard to turn my family and everyone she knows against me, she actually lies on me. Like you I have had to love my mom from afar, but it really does hurt to be ostracized from your family. It hurts when people chose to align with wrong and negativity. It makes me feel like no one has morals and values or a backbone to stand up for me and do what’s right. I’ve learned that when I stand up for myself it becomes a problem, and no one can ever see my point-of-view. That has made me distance myself from them because I dont want to keep defending myself or actions to people who have “drank the cool-aid”. I have a small family, just one daughter 2 grand children, and one brother who has no children. We are very close but I’m realizing the family culture my mom created of ridiculing me and making me feel like an outsider or that I’m a problem and the family joke, has taken hold and they take liberties and make jokes at my expense. My daughter gets it and she sees it, but she has a different relationship with my mom, and I get that. But now I feel like my daughter sides with my mom or her father (who is like my mother) against me, which breaks my heart 😢. I could never talk to my mom about the things she does or makes me feel, so I’ve always tried to overly talk things out with my daughter. But I can’t help feeling like she has pulled back, which makes me 😞. I love that you’re a writer and journal, I’m also a writer and was so sad when Johnny Carson retired because he’d always have new authors on his show, I just knew I’d write the gr8 American novel and be interviewed on his show😀. (You may not know who he is- I am writing a novel about my dad and dementia, not done yet).
