KATE Middleton boasts similarities to the late Queen’s Mother as she’s “extremely popular” and “ignores petty rows”, claims a royal historian.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Gareth Russell said he has spotted a number of similarities between the Princess of Wales and the late royal, who passed away in 2002.

Megan Markle makes Wallis Simpson look like a saint. We can start with something as frivolous as fashion and or style. Wallis had style in spades. Even when it's looked like she was cosplaying Wallis she looked like a hot mess to me. Also she stood by her man and didn't try to upstage him publicly any chance she got. She was investment rich but cash poor. She spent way above her income. The late Queen paid off her debts so that her inheritances to her grandchildren remained intact.

Reading Wallace‘s diaries the letters sent gives you a whole new perspective on Wallace Simpson. I used to think Wallace and MM were comparable, but they’re not in many ways …Maybe in a couple ways.. the Sun finally pointed out the similarities in the dresses in the Oprah interview MM she knew what she was doing… she might try to be strategic, but she’s not her game is a fail..

I think both these comparisons are ridiculous except extremely superficially. Princess Catherine's character outshines the QM's in almost every way. She certainly doesn't have The QM's vicious and vengeful strike. Wallis while having questionable sympathies during WWII was a far better person than Megan and she didn't look for the spotlight. She stood by her man for better or worse (a lot of it was worse). She did not speak badly of the Royal family in public. Catherine actually brought Megan flowers the day after Megan made her cry in order to clear the air. Hugely different scenarios. The would never have withstood the scrutiny Catherine is always under. Today Catherine's popularity would have way outshone the QM's

People might stop comparing the two of them if Meghan would stop cosplaying and dressing like Wallace . How many times has she dressed like her? Meghan is drawing that comparison to herself through her own behavior. It’s unfair to then criticize others for seeing that comparison especially if she is actively promoting herself that way.

Wallis was a woman who knew the value of a tailor, better than almost anyone. how Meghan continues to clearly think that she has enough intrinsic style to over-ride the doubtless thousands of offers to 'take it in or up a bit' over the years, wedding dress included, and not try to learn a thing or two from Wallis is absolutely beyond me, and frankly, really lazy.
