For me as a German watching Leon playing together with Conner is just a privilege! At the beginning of the playoffs I was not sure if the Oilers are really ready for this??? And they proved me wrong especially Steward Skinner, that guy was the foundation for being in cup final. As good as Conner and Leon are, Steward impressed me the most. To summarize this up, they have a real good team (they have become it) and if they are prepared for the fight of there life’s, they will beat Florida…

Don’t ever change. There’s enough guys out there who try their hardest to be ‘professional’. You never get to see their human side, and there’s a disconnect between them and the fan. I was born a maple leafs fan. This is usually the case for an Ontario born person. I witnessed the Oilers cup run in 2006 and their courage and tenacity made me an instant fan. I rejected all of my maple leaf affiliation and became an Oilers fan since then. It's been a ride. We need McDavid to pull a Yakupov celly

I was in Northlands Coliseum when we hoisted the cup against Philly in the mid 80's. To be in the building when we won it all is a memory I'll never forget! Dad taped the game from home on a Beta machine, lol.

I was 11, when the Oilers started in 72 in the WHA. I had a teacher in grade 7, whose husband played for the Oilers. I went to his hockey school that summer. I remember going to Oilers games at the old Gardens, that's why I feel sad for the Coliseum. How many people remember why our color's are orange and blue? Goes back to the summer of 72.

I grew up in Edm in the 70s and was lucky to see the rise ( and fall) of the dynasty. It's been hard since 1992..they have only gotten to the third round 3 times since then...06, 22 and today 2024...I remember being a freshman in college in 1990 watching the last cup run, with hope, fear and longing. and it happened, thanks to the great play of ranford, messier, Simpson and the rest. I hope HOPE that this 2024 period mirrors that glorious spring of 1990. As a 50 year fan of this franchise, GO OILERS GO!

I became an Oilers fan in 1979. I was 11 years old. We watched in all as they won the 1st cup in 1984 as I got a little older in 1986 I got to go to the first Oilers party downtown after winning and again in 1990 I’m overjoyed for the boys. I pray for a win not only for the fans and the franchise but for the Canadians that have been left out of a Stanley Cup win for the last30 years.. I think they will NOT BE DENIED.. I love that we’re an underdog. KEEP UNDERESTIMATING US.. GO OILERS GO!!!!

I was 5-8 when Oilers were winning cups in the 80's and 2006 was amazing I was 23 then. so now being 41 and watching this its unreal, went to game 4 against vancouver. it was amazing. so pumped for tomorrow.

My concern is the substantiated hype of "physicality"... we had a taste of that with dirty Vancouver and big defenceman...but this is another level... will it disrupt us to fall apart? Skinner will be a great goalie...he was robbed of development time under Campbell who rightly should be no 1 and let Skinner develop... my two concerns.

I find it crazy how under rated the oilers are coming into this because the Panthers were here last year... Like we lost to the previous cup champions...

I'm fortunate enough to be going to Game 4 of the finals. I was also in The Moss Pit for game 6 of the WCF and that was a level of elation I've never seen Edmonton hit before. So I can only imagine what winning in the Finals would feel like. Here's hoping we all get to experience that together very soon! Let's go Oilers!!!

I moved to edmonton in october 2005 when i was really young, became a hockey fan immediately following that cup run - thought every year was going to bring that much excitement and boy I couldn't have been more wrong lol, it's been a hell of an 18 years and it's amazing to be more sentient of what's actually happening this time around

I went through junior high and high school in the 80s. I was around for all the cups so I can’t relate to the younger Oilers fans. To my spoiled Oilers fan experience this is where this franchise belongs every year. I also think this version of the Oilers will be here more than once.

Hey man, I love your passion for this team. It honestly hurts me to hear you constantly talk about how you need to tone down your fandom. I believe this is coming from the "old media" that you are currently hanging around. They have this idea that you need to be "unbiased" but the reality is that there is a real market for fans who want to hear from other fans who try their best to give objective takes of the team, but don't hide the fact that they are fans. Case and point, look at the success of oilersnation. I believe you should look into applying to that company as I really don't think toning down your fandom is good for your brand. You want an even more successful example? Look at the guys from spittin' chicklets. Biz is literally on TSN! He does not shy away from being a fan of some teams like Toronto, in fact, he LEANS INTO IT. I really don't think you should listen to these old media type of people who are telling you to tone down your fandom of the team. Just my 2 cents.

I've been a fan of the Oilers my whole life, they joined the NHL when I was 10. The fans my age have watched this team go from being a Dynasty to being in the basement. We almost lost this team in '98, we've been to the Finals once since then and now here we are. A lot of analysts are counting us out but not the fans, we are truly grateful for this season and are all waiting for a great series while backing our team. I really don't know how much of Canada is rooting for us but I can tell by all of the car flags and all of the honking this postseason and even this week that this city is anticipating something special. Go Oilers!
