I was going to say. Lol. Golden Abyss is a great game. Wish they would have put it on the Uncharted collection, you could use the touch pad on the DS4 to do the screen swipes.
@@tastimeandspace4902 true it could've worked, I could see them adding a lock on feature for enemy encounters to make up for the fact there is no second stick and as well as having a manual aim option for more precise shooting for puzzles and for long range combat.
I'd say only if you actually want to play through that many Uncharted games. You can totally play 4 without the others and really enjoy it. Maybe that will make you want to go and play the others even. Don't not play 4 because you feel you need to play 3 other games first to get anything out of it, that's not at all true.
@@Icza True but it's a better experience if you have played the previous ones. You wouldn't recommend someone to watch Return of the Jedi without seeing Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back.
The next few years are going to be so fun collecting for the PS4 and Xbox One. I love the first few years after a new console launch because the prices of the previous generation’s games drop so quickly.
In my case I found that its towards the middle and end of the next generation of consoles is where the prices really drop for last generation titles. This was the case a few years ago when EB Games/Gamestop started selling off their inventory of PS3, Xbox 360 abd Wii U games for absurdly low prices.
Yeah I miss the days of getting PS3 bangers for $2 to $5 each. Got to the point I was buying a PS3 game ever Wednesday when the new PSN sale would come up because how can you turn down the entire inFAMOUS PS3 series for $7, God of War Origins bundle for $1.74, Ni No Kuni for $5, etc? Won't do much for me on PS4 though since I have almost everything I want to play on the system already. But I didn't get a PS3 until early 2017 so all I knew with PS3 is super cheap games. Only games that cost me much were Demon's Souls for $20 and Yakuza 3 for $30.
Same. Except you know how people say they 'found Jesus'? Well, I found crypto and dividend stock investing over the last 6-7 months and can't get enough. Everytime I go out and buy stuff now, whether it be clothes or games for the collection, I question 'would it be better to invest the money into BTC or XRP' as I truly believe crypto is just beginning with only 3% global adoption?' Will always find myself collecting, but crypto has definitely changed my views on how I should spend my money. Not worth overpaying for a video game when you can easily invest the money.
Picked up WarGroove, Red Faction Guerilla, Mothergunship, Under Night In-Birth and some others brand new for less than £10 each recently, such a great time to be a PS4 collector!
Oh man.... Bulletstorm is soooooooo good! Played it back when it launched and picked up the full clip edition on ps4 and PC as well. Hilariously crude story and insane kills. I was gutted when it flopped as it had all the ingredients to be a big title
Yes, now is the time for the cheap titles and like you, I have been smashing my PS4 (and Xbone) games when the deals are perfect. Those yellow clearance stickers are fantastic at Walmart and GameStop! Take care!
Love the show. I have never evem gamed on a console, nor am I a metal head always been a PC gamer, love my acoustic blues guitar! I buy my games on Steam now, or direct. Its moved on from the tapes I was first buying as a kid, later on disks. I really do miss handing the product, but I do love having my collection on a 8TB hard drive, plus the bargins on steam are amazing. Its also got a ton of info on upcoming games, plus a great place to connect! Anyway, I am sure many PC gamers still watch this great show, I love coming here. Keep up the great work.
@@Gauddus Yeah, i have had some issues. Bought 3, 1 worked, 2 never. I only got refunded for one. So I cannot trust them, unless you know of a decent place to buy them
A key element to any racing game...the music. Even back to the original Need For Speed which I still love, it elevates the already heightened heart rate.
I did this with PS3 about a year after the PS4 was released! Walk into a gamestop with $50 and come out with like 8 games. Some of those games like "Killer Is Dead" box set I got for $7.99 is worth like $40 now
Picked up God of War, Horizon, Bloodborne 46 dollars CAD. Nice little score. 10 - God of War, 16 - Bloodborne, 20 - Horizon (Still Sealed) Never understood what the hype was about GOW until I just started playing it. Holy space balls batman...lol
@EveryChevyChase bloodborne is a masterpiece. My first souls experience. Nearly killed me till I got thr hang of it now a souls freak through and through.
You ain’t lying man. I’ve been collecting PS4 game’s for the past 18 months along with a wide range of VR games. Besides GameStop, I’ve seen them real cheap at Target and Walmart.
Ironically, John Hancock has talked about retro game stores have upped the prices of their video games as well. Maybe you and Hancock can make a video of you going to a retro game store. If & when they lowered their prices. :)
i've played more than a few farming simulators to platinum. i agree. i'd look into it but diablo 2 has my full and undivided attention atm. and it's got hooks in me like back in the 90's. there are only 3 games i know i sunk more time into. unreal tournament. the original cod on pc + expansion + cod 2. and return to castle wolfenstein multiplayer.
Trials Fusion and the Mudrunner game are solid 👌 driving games. My only complaint is the Unicorn animation on Trials can be slightly off depending upon the motion your doing, for example the last step off bigger jumps. The front foot can power off open air. But other than that good choices.
The PS4 is my favorite system to collect for today. I make sure to browse the Walmart clearance shelf every time I'm around. You'd be surprised how many amazing games I've picked up new for only $5 which usually go for much more.
While it's still around, GameStop tends to have good sales on pre-owned games, such as 3 for $30 on games $15 and under, 4 for $20 on games $10 or less, and the best one I recall being 5 for $50 on games $20 or less (was able to get cyberpunk 2077 essentially for $10 just months after it came out with that one)
From my experience, I'd say about 20% of the games at my local stores are $20 or lower. While the majority of their games aren't that cheap, there's a decent amount of good stuff under $20
I cannot, CANNOT, stress enough how amazing RedOut is. It's such a beautiful evolution of Studio Liverpool's Wipeout series. The dual analog controls just feel so intuitive and precise and the feeling of going 1100+ KM/H is conveyed perfectly. Seriously recommend.
for the MudRunner game, the American Wilds version includes the previous 2 DLCs + the American Wilds DLC while the other version is just the base game, that's the only difference
Wouldn't surprise me at all if it's $5 for Black Friday. When Best Buy had it for $10 a couple of months ago I couldn't resist and went to get a copy. They didn't have it out on the shelves so I had to ask the guy manning the department if they had any in stock and he said they had a billion copies in back and that I was the only person that day to come and buy a copy (and this was at like 6PM lol). They gotta be so desperate to get rid of that stock and if a $10 sale price couldn't do it gotta think they'll try $5.
@@homerthompson416 it’s not Best Buy that had it just for $10 only it’s target Walmart Amazon the only store who didn’t sell it for $9.99 was Gamestop if you just shop at Best Buy only your missing a lot of exclusives and a lot of sales
@@Suhadisgood I think Best Buy was the first to offer it for $10 so I didn't pay attention to it after that. But yeah I buy from everyone, the competition between Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Gamestop, etc for physical sales is what makes it so much cheaper to play new games on Playstation than say on PC where Steam dominates the market and keeps prices high the first couple of years a game is out.
@@homerthompson416 talking about Steam I disagree with their games being played as the best Steam is just like Xbox and PlayStation feels like a console game not like a PC game if you play resident evil 5 from games for windows version the PC version it plays way more better then the one on Steam even cyberpunk 2077 plays better from the epic store then the one on Steam I buy from steam cause of their achievements if they didn’t have achievements I would not be buying from them their graphics aren’t in full potential Steam needs to work on that I bought the 3090 graphics card to get the full potential I no longer can accuse my graphics card it’s Steam to blame
Doom, horizon zero dawn, ratchet and clank, call of duty, titenfall 2. I got the PS4 late in it’s lifecycle, and was amazed at how many big titels where less then €10
Other than then exclusives I just get these games on the PC for even less than $5 most of the time. When I had a PS3 and PS4 I went through all the Uncharted and Killzone series. They were the best on that system.
Just purchased all of them, but I notice Dishonored 2 has a 2 pack version with Pray that was cheaper than the original. And it's new condition so you don't run the risk of some generic case if you buy online at GS.
Even if PS4 games are now getting cheap, I find it difficult to justify buying them; especially if there's a native physical release PS5 version...even more so if it's a remaster/remake/collection of said PS4 game(s).
My favorite PS3 game and first Platinum. Did the hardest run I could think of and it was a magical time for gaming in my life. Feel the same about D2 but I believe I never gave it a real shot. Still have that Corvo mask...
Games I personally have picked up recently just because their price was so low: Beast Quest (it’s terrible, but I like it) LEGO Disney Pixar's The Incredibles Okami HD Metal Wolf Chaos XD Until Dawn Marvel’s Spider-Man Earth Defense Force 4.1 (5 is better, but for $10) Days Gone (flawed but fun) Dragon Quest Builders 2 Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2
Yeah I did the same thing you did I bought mudrunner and then when they came out with American wildlands I bought that game thinking it was a complete different game but it wasn't. The game I think you would enjoy is the second version of mudrunner called snowrunner.
What does the ps5 have to offer that works to incentivise paying for new hardware? The ps4 is still amazing. In fact I'd say its in its prime. At the beginning it was a disappointment because of lack of games. Now it's got VR and an absolutely huge library of amazing games that some of still have years left in them of gameplay before they are mastered and finished. Edit: Also they are missing out on money by not remastering games into vr like they did with skyrim. If they do that with basically any first person game they give it new life. Imagine fallout 3 or black ops 1 in PSVR? I'd definately pay at least 70 quid for either of those and I'm not one to fork out for new stuff usually.
I had an original PS4, so the upgrade to the PS5 was pretty significant (4K graphics, 60+ fps) plus there’s almost no load times. There are only a few games really taking advantage of the hardware right now (see: Ratchet & Clank), but it will eventually be a big upgrade. Otherwise, the PS4 is still awesome.
@@MrVisde I don't have a 4k tv yet but that is a reason in itself good point. I'd imagine like with the ps4 the library will improve dramatically over time. Right now though with the backlog of ps4 games I have yet to finish/and/or platinum there's nothing pushing me towards the upgrade and I think it's the same with alot of people. Also they don't even make alot of money off of the hardware, sometimes even taking a loss,so I'm confused software isn't more of a focus still. They could make a killing remastering old games into vr. An absolute killing.
@@skipeveryday7282 I hear ya, I'd love more AAA VR titles. Although after playing Skyrim in VR for a bit, I'm not sure every game is meant to be played in VR. I think it would still be a lot of fun to play a standard game in the movie theater mode with 3D enabled...could be incredibly immersive without the disorientation.
By the way, the cars in Spintires are based on real Russian off-road cars. They don't have real names because of rightsholders - they don't like to give licenses to developers (I know, it's stupid, but it's true).
I just started collecting PS4 when i bought myself a PS4 Pro 2 months ago. And yes the prices are soo good, its really the best time for buying PS4 stuff
It's a shame they didn't have Battlezone be a regular game or the VR. I can't do VR due to my motion sickness. Looks like a Vindicators influenced game that would have been a blast to play.
Killzone Shadowfall... this game had so much potential. So many great moments, great satisfying controls, amazing graphics. But some awful sequences. It was probably rushed to get it out at launch. If only they had more time to refine it. Still pretty great though. Lots of nostalgia as it was the very first game most people bought when the PS4 launched. I picked it up again for 7 or 8 bucks. Also some of the most satisfying guns in a video game
Rad Rogers it looks cool i will take a look at it, I have some games that are cheap in my country, I don't know if they are in the USA Infamous Second Son Wolfenstein Old Blood SteamWorld Dig Rachet and Clank
Unfortunately PS4 was the first generation that didn't include the full game on the discs.. the vast majority of the PS4 library requires some kind of a download after inserting the disc for you to even be able to play.
Also i have played quite a bit of vertigo home a cheap game but very addictive Be aware if motion sickness is an issue for you then you may find the game a bit much as the more you complete the faster it gets But a great very wierd game with a fun soundtrack
Great video mate, thanks. Would love to see you bring the old crew together someday soon, i miss those vids. Sorry if my spelling is all over the place, not drunk but from sweden : ) Have a nice weekend
Worth noting for everyone who has fully transitioned over to the PS5, Battlezone has been reported to have some serious issues playing on the next-gen console. Just a heads up!
I really hope we get some news on PSVR 2.0 on PS5 because I would LOVE to see Sony have a path to upgrade a lot of these early titles for new VR hardware if possible.
BulletStorm is one of my all time favorites for sure! I love that game. Such great game play, great story line and characters are awesome! Lot of cussing in it but definitely worth buying! Also killzone shadow fall is alright too, I have played bits of it but I have not beaten that game yet I might in the future.
Bulletstorm pulled me in in the PS3 and I couldn’t put it down. I got the Remaster when it came out, played a bit then got busy with other titles. It might be time for the full Review treatment on Game Closet! (I just hated what happened to his friend that became the cyborg though.)
Great list of some cheap PS4 games, would love to see one for the Xbox One. I now have a Series X and so I’ve been picking up some cheap games I missed out on like Ryse, Quantum Break, Rare Replay, Recore, etc.
