Glad I trusted you on these too. They definitely have fun bass. It is less invasive than legendX while being present with a specific slam. Definitely a good value for whoever wants a bit more bass without major sacrifices. And they have a great fit like the Mest mkii
I’m so glad to hear another strong rec on these..I too purchased these after BGGAR’s review of them and am expecting them tomorrow and couldn’t be more excited! Glad you’re enjoying them as well buddy!
What does the nozzle look like? Is it completely smooth like the Mangird Tea? Because eartips fall off the Tea every single time i take them out of .y ears.
@@TostiTostelli It has the metal nozzle with the edge to prevent the eartips to fall. A bit large but the Sedna Earfit Crystal work perfectly with it. I did not try the stock eartips
@@TostiTostelli No, it has a lip a pic is in community section of this channel and twitter twitter.com/HawaiibadboyB/status/1411142791757897729/photo/2
I received these yesterday - and I'm very impressed so far! I usually have problems with fit, but these are quite comfy for me with the provided foamies - and they sound great! ❤️
Im poor but love music equally like you do, so i’m Saving up to buy a end of end game in December. Meaning i’ll use this IEM for at least 5+ years and not look at another . Lets see if anything comes out till then that challenge this .
Solid feedback on a very inriguing set!! Would be a nice complementary signature to a Tea owner!! Not to mention their looks - absolutely stunning from the pics I've seen! As always, apprecaite you!!!
I must say that your take & taste in music match mine for contemporary music & your attention to detail when testing/reviewing IEMs & Cans match my own. I bought the Shuoer Tape & Mangird Tea's based in large part on your analysis. I LOVE them both, along with my Sundara v.2020 Planars for Audio Nirvana in their $$ Range. This looks to be the logical follow-up to the Tea's which I'll reward myself with when I'm done with my Home Renovation. Mahalo & Aloha, my friend.
Oh man, why you do this? I got the Monarch as Customs and thought "I don't need another IEM" but now I'm thinking about getting the Xenn as well. Was already a big fan of the Mangird Tea.
Yesssah!! 🤙 XENN UP above the Clairvoyance. Given a little bump in bass for the library; I'll have to take it. Look like my next two would have to be the Oracle and these. Wondering which I should go for first. 🤔 Braddah Chris, If you had to pick one out of these two which would you go for first? Yet another bomb-ass review, Chris. Love the way you're running things. Keep it coming.
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews bro, pulled the trigger on these and the original UM MEST international version (pre-owned), but for $800 on Music Teck. It was hard to pass up.
It’s funny because the first video of yours that I saw a couple years back had you talking about your preferred sound sig and I was like, oh ya, that’s almost exactly what I prefer too actually. And then over time I became familiar with your library and realized that a good 90%+ of our taste in music overlaps so it makes perfect sense why we prefer the general sound signature we do as it really showcases the music we listen to in a balanced but engaging way! Take care buddy
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews I’m absolutely thrilled to know there are some excellent resources available to our community such as yourself and sharing your experience and it just makes it all the better to me that our libraries line up so solidly because like ya said a while back, you don’t have to like Led Zeppelin to listen to Jon Bonham’s kick drum and appreciate whether it sounds natural and realistic to your ears or not. And these are just great objective points of reference that you highlight, and that’d be great anyway, but all the better that you use music I personally enjoy as much as I do so frequently to share details and descriptions about how faithfully and naturally the gear reproduces sound. Fun friggin hobby we get to enjoy. Oh and as an aside, thanks for not only spending your time and energy making such in-depth transparent reviews, but thanks for using your personal financial resources for the betterment of the community and the hobby as a whole. Not everyone is in a position to be able to do what you do, and sadly most would keep that to themselves and not be so quick to share valuable information and personal experience but you’re so open and straight up about your recs and that’s super helpful and just refreshing. Happy listening this weekend bud 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice review BGGAR, 🔥🔥🔥, do i need to worry about the charge loss of the permanently charged electrostatic iem drivers in this type of iems that dont use the energizers for the amplification? Thanks :)
Im waiting to buy something on the 11.11 so I was considering to take the leap of faith on the MEST MK II but no I might go for these as a more level-headed approach. Thanks for the video and the references to music etc to give a better picture from where your coming from
Please help me choose Yanyin x HBB Mahina vs Mangird XENNS UP I want a basshead surround sound with good technical data, and calm high frequencies. I listen to rock with beautiful vocals and EDM. I'm leaning towards XENNS UP I worry that technically he will be a weak player even compared to mine Shuoer EJ07M
Do you have an opinion on the current planar magnetic IEMs? I was considering the AAW Nightingale ($999), or the Audeze Euclid ($1,200). I value your opinion a lot more than others', I'm tempted just to get the Xenns instead, but I do like planar sound. I just ordered the Oracle, so I would like a variety. Thanks again.
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews Yeah! I remember you saying that. I’ve never sampled anything at that level, and certainly not within the IEM realm. The best audio stuff I’ve had so far has been the HiFiMan HE-500, Focal Elex (driver excursion rattle, though), and Ollo S4X. My best IEMs are the Tea, hands down, though I think I’ve told you before that I’m stunned at how much I like the TC-01. I’d never have tried those if not for you, and for the level of sound quality and comfort they provide, they’re hands down my go-to rec for anyone who wants a nice set and doesn’t want or need a wireless IEM. I rec them more than the BLON. As soon as I get back on my feet, I’ll probably give these Mangird Xenns UP a try.
Im looking for a basshead iem. And I'm sure you have alot of experience with Empire Ears iems. Would you say the Xenns UP is comparable to an EE iem in terms of bass quantity and quality? Should I save up more money and get the EE iems instead or would the Xenns UP be as good? Thanks in advance.
I never thought UP was in any way related to Clair but it is..and all my faves are running that same bass slide. If it were dark or muffled/fuzzy this vid would never happen.
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews my preference and liabrary tends to follow yours, it’s nice to understand the reason why. Thanks for the great content. Curious how the soundstage and details are on this set?
What is the "Sample unit Sample unit" on the graph tool, is that your own iem in production? The engraving on the teaser last week looked sick! Can't wait to see how that compare to the UP and what price point it lands at.
Damn...good eyes, No my samples were deleted those are other demos. I named my set after another set and hid it under "KZ" section for a while till taking down😅 I should be getting a retail version by Monday and packaging finished too
You like the Oracle more than the Excalibur, while the Excalibur matches the Clairvoyance and Xenns UP more than the Oracle does. What is so different about the Excalibur then, that you prefer the Oracle over it? Edit: I just found you video about the Excalibur explaining what differences you experience between the two.
The electrostatic driver seperates instruments in bad recordings that normally sound jumbled or distorted and makes it not just listenable again but you can see where the band is even sitting. It's amazing. Also these have a small hole to not let pressure build up in your ears and the comfort is insane for long listening sessions because these immerse you in the music. I was listening last night at 12am and before I noticed it was 2:30am while listening to music on the ups
If you had to choose between this and Clairvoyance, which one would it be? I'm looking for an upgrade from Dusk and can't decide between Mangird UP, Clair/Monarch, or maybe I should go straight for MEST Mk 1? It's on sale for 1k$. My library has a lot of Jazz/Soul/Electronic and some Rap. Thanks for great vids man!
Very interested in these. Graph matches my preference. But I already have Nanna 2.0 with almost identical graph. Kinda pointless to have two sets with the same sound signature. UNLESS, they differ significantly in technicalities somehow.
1 end game set for a long while like another comment i read, not dropping a ton...this might be it, let's see what the end of year brings by then, otherwise, its this for sure!
The bass performance that berry is capable of puts these on my short list, but I'm worried about the treble. I like elevated treble and that big scoop from 4k to 6k concerns me. I EQ but I have no idea how these EST drivers respond to it. If anyone has experience tweaking these tribrids and knows if they do anything weird with EQ I'd appreciate input.
Im on the verge of getting those to replace the monarch, which had some awesome qualities but contraty what most people seem to think about them, my issue with the monarch is the bass, lots of it which is not the problem, but too much sub bass and meat of the bass isn't as tight as i like it. Incredible details though at the expensive of some slight harshness around 5k (to me). So would the Xenn fix that with its Beryllium DD...
MAN.. U R MY FAVORITE SAMPLER..THANKS FOR UR INPUTS..& UR MUSIC..IS MY MUSIC AS WELL.!!..ONE THING THOU...I WOULD LOVE..IF U HIT.ME WITH PRICE..OF THE SETS..AT THE BEGUINING.!!🙈💪🤓💥🤟..KEEP ROCKIN..BRO
I wonder that when use the frequency graph, should take normalization as dB or Hz? Because, sometimes it doesn't make sense when use Hz for normalization reference. Please, let me know how to use it. Thanks
I got both, they are a different tuning, the mest does not really need the amplification so phones are ok on it, it’s has more treacle info in your face the mids are too. The Up has all this info but just slightly more rescessed, as I increase the volume there’s not any decrease in quality, they implemented the 2 est’s on the UP to have the upper treble info I’m looking for just a little more laid back. Quality of the treacle is superb but though. The mest wins treacle though, and soundstage/3D stage factor. Bass is perfect on the mest for a lot of song types. The up is for the bass heads that want the info with the bass that is not lacking.
Another great video. Love the comparisons and the detail. I am bouncing between the Xenns Up and the Shuoer ej07m... I already have a Duno EST 112 and a Mangird Tea, and prefer the EST, though the Tea is definitely a good set. Decisions, decisions....
I read about Beryllium and it's way of entering the body and how much. Earphone users need not worry. Headphone users too. Factory workers who absorb through skin do have to worry though (daily constant exposure)
@@eleven9286 yeah I know. But I'm buying small near field ones. Adam t5v most likely. I don't think I'll buy headphones though.. A sub 1k iem and a 400 dollar near field speaker. ☺ Thanks for the opinion though. 😁
