I 100%'d Pokemon X & Y 10 Years Later, Here's What Happened 

Ah, X and Y. I remember when it came out and spending hours playing it and shiny hunting friend zones. Good times

My brother dropped off playing Pokemon at this generation, he caught Yveltal, named it "MLG", dropped the game and barely played Pokemon Moon because our mom didn't know he dropped Pokemon then. I transferred all his mons to Pokemon Bank and I still have them, the next best mon besides Yveltal was a shiny Vivillon named "Sparkle". X/Y are special to me as the last Pokemon game we played together. He still likes Pokemon and we talk about it, he just doesn't play the games anymore.

XY is a special game for me; for it introduced my favorite Pokémon, Malamar, and introduced my least favorite evil team, but third favorite bad team leader… it’s a weird moment. It’s been a good game, but I will say, overall, 7/10- not enough water. Love you Gentledude! Stay you and stay true! Glad to see more kinds of content here, a warm welcome to be sure.

I don't think X and Y are bad games. To me, they just feel rushed and incomplete. It feels like something is missing and it just feels unsatisfying.

X and y are my FAVORITE Pokémon games. They have the best Pokémon on average,megas,cozy vibe,best fossils,Noivern,cool gym designs and based on croissant land!!! Who could ask for more?

The sheer amount of side content in XY was nuts even things you'd wouldn't expect... like learning all roller skate tricks, Completing every Restaurant challenge, buying every piece of clothing, Growing every berry to get a Kee Berry, getting Duke/Dutchess ranking in Battle Chateau, Defeating the Battle ladies in post game, and much more 😂

I replayed this for the first time since it came out last year and honestly I had a lot of fun. I was actually shocked that Shauna was the only useful rival/companion. If you think gym 1-2 is long like this, you should see it in the professor oak challenges. Plus mega flower frog, any game is better with a venusaur in it. Also the Valerie battle was like me against Opal, she did say to bring pink, gmax venusaur was the best I had

x and y are criminally underrated and i'm so glad to see you enjoy it to its fullest, especially the postgame story! i'm excited to see what legends za does with kalos, and a thorough playthrough like this is a great way to prepare for it! kudos for sticking it through to the end!

I think the reason for the division is that X and Y released after BW, which had the best story of any game in the series, and BW2, which is the most fun game in the series.

I was a teen when these came out, and I to this day they're one of my favorite games in the series. Friend Zones, megas, and just the overall atmosphere of the first 3d mainline game. It just hit different. I know the opinions on this gen and games are mixed, but it will forever be in my top 5 mainline games.

The thing about what I like the most about XY is the huge amount of Pokemon in its regional dex 456 entries for a 3DS game, and still having the national dex programmed. Every play through feels different

ive got nostalgic rose coloured glasses on for these games. x was my introduction to the entire pokemon series, i was given it when i was 8? years old and it blew my mind, i have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in it - id never seen any games like it at the time, i spent hours choosing my hair colour and style and trying to get into the designer clothes shop, i spent so long finishing the postgame and doing online battles, it was such a fun time . in retrospect its an easy game and other games in pokemon have a lot more challenge and heart, but i still like these ones

If it's the two trainers that are in the forest before you get to parfum, you're able to skip them if you hug the wall they're not on. The camera will shift so that you're barely out of their range of vision.

I remember going and buying a 2DS with Pokemon X on release with one of the guidebooks, and to this day, is one of the few Pokemon games that I haven't gone back to play to completion. I guess I just remember all of the bad and almost none of the good - I much prefer Gen V and IV to any of the Gen VI-VIII games, but that's probably due to nostalgia and having less to do when I was younger vs when I got into Gen VI and VII; I didn't even get into Gen VIII until Mid 2020, and by then I was so caught up in working that I rarely played it, and it took me more than a year to complete. It amazes me sometimes how fresh and challenging some of the older games can be with just a couple of self-implemented rules, but in order to really challenge yourself in the post Gen V era, you need much more to make it difficult. Thanks for reading this long comment, sorry for the time that I wasted.

I love the mechanics, love the scenery, the evil team's wardrobe needs work, and love all the tiny details like exiting gyms through paintings! It just needs work on the teams (later gyms SHOULD use megas, along with the elite 4), the difficulty needs work. This is the only thing I'd personally change..the rest is minor enough I can excuse it Probably my favorite pokemon game! It's a bit easy but it's really good outside that

Pokémon X and Y was the first Pokémon game where I understood everything that was going on from natures to EVs and IVs, this is one of my favorite and most nostalgic gens because of it. First time I’ve ever seen your channel but enjoyed it greatly hope to watch more

The zangoose and the Viper is a good attention to detail from the Gen 3 anime where in an episode they show that Zengo since Viper are sworn enemies

Y was the only pokemon game i was able to want to beat. gen 4 has some special vibes in my heart so i treat it like an untouched relic ive played through half of gen 5 so much i just cant gen 7 was just too long and i either dont like any unmentioned gem for it being over rated (hottake gen 3 wasnt that good) or just unable to access due to hardware, and i dont think i regret any of that so far. Y was a lovely game, and its only unfortunate it was an omen for future pokemon games to just not have the same sparkle some other games used to have, i really hope Z-A is a faithful and good game so more people can realize the amazing glory of "pokefrance"

These were my first Pokemon games and i’ll just say, they are perfect for newcomers, easy if you’ve played many, but hard for people who don’t know how to really play.

we shouldve been able to toggle on and off the skates because i wanted to move with the circle pad WITHOUT skating.

The only issue with x and y was the difficulty(easy) but i don't play pokemon for difficulty. It has megas, atmosphere, and pretty incredible pokemon like Greninja, Talonflame, and Noivern. It is really a good generation to get a cool ass team much like sinnoh

X is definitely an important game for me, as it was my first Pokémon game. It’s definitely easy, but I spent so much time on it and had plenty of fun. Nice to see people going through it.

I remember that release day so well. It was a blustery cool morning, I was curled up in a blanket. I’d gone to bed early to be as alert as possible for the next morning. My mom even let me stay home, and offered to go get my pre-order from GameStop after grocery shopping if I gave her the pre-order’s receipt. I was watching some 4Kids cartoons eagerly waiting till she got back, and then I had a blast playing X & Y with my cousin for the next several months. I miss those days a little 😌

Pokémon x and y was my first Pokémon game since it was the first time we could afford one. It holds a very very deep place in my heart. The pacing is odd and the characters are very forgettable but I’ll always love it.

Pokemon X and Y was one of my first games and I loved the Story, it made me cry. The Detective missions where really good and made fun even if I had my problems as a kid with them😂. The interesting part is with the Detective that if you played Omega Ruby and Alpa Saphire that he appears at the Battle Resort with lost memorys and I tried everything as a kid but never came behind what has happend to him and why he has lost his memories

In all honesty I'm the same to say this but I got stuck on furfroo maze puzzle for almost 3 years until my friend helped me. All of my Pokémon were level 100 and I had gotten eevee from the hotel, i'll be at I was only 10

I didn't like X and Y when I first played them, but honestly, this playthrough made me want to go back to them. Hopefully Z-A answers the unanswered questions from this game! (side note: I have never heard anyone bring up this point, but I'm pretty sure the only reason Z-A is getting made in the first place is because watchog the elemental monkeys and furfrou are the only pokemon unobtainable on switch, with x and y being the only game to have all of them in the dex. We wouldn't have this remake if the elemental monkeys didn't exist)

now that you mention A-Z's Floette and how they could have done a bit more with it, a year ago I played the pokemon Unbound romhack and ran into A-Z's Floette, which knew the Light of Ruin move, as a legendary encounter. I looked it up and apparently it was handed out in an event at some point, with that same move learned, so there's that. still, they could have let you catch it at geosenge town or something

X and Y will always hold a special place in my heart as they were the first pokémon games I ever owned . Mega evolution is easily the best gimmick they introduced. It sucks because it’s clear the game is unfinished and was meant to have a sequel but never got it. The AZ storyline was genuinely amazing and if they expanded that it could have ended up being one of the best storylines in the franchise

Can I just say. I love the editing skills. It has gotten a lot better and more advanced sense you started. You were always good at this though. Also love the way you incorporated the face cam.

First of all, just found this channel & video. Great video, great editing. Subbed Second.. it’s funny that I found this video as I recently did a similar “I havnt played this game since release” play through. My method of making the game more fun/attempt challenging (without turning off the exp share) was using a rotation party. 1: Greninja 2: Beedrill 3: Talonflame 4: Venesaur 5: Furret 6: Toxicroak 7: Scrafty 8: Aurorus 9: Dugtrio And tried to give each a backstory and personality. Was a fun time trying to entertain myself in my adulthood.
