I 100%ed Guardian Signs Purely for Mental Fortitude (Pokémon Ranger) 

I now have the mental and wrist strength of a minor Japanese deity. Also, big sad because there are no more Pokémon Ranger games

so glad that these games have been getting so much recognition! guardian signs was my utmost favorite pokémon game as a kid so it makes me so happy to see people loving it now.

I really loved the Ranger games, these and gale of darkness are easily some of my favorite spinoff games (ignoring mystery dungeon). It's such a shame that we'll probably never see a new one of either series 😭

I find it funny that despite red eyes having the best streak of success in the missions out of all of the pinchers, he’s the one who quits due to deeming himself a failure

I loved playing this as a kid and it was my introduction to pokemon ranger games. I always tried to beat the multiplayer solo but, couldn't get far. I didn't even know there was dlc missions for this game.

OML I REMEMBER PLAYING THIS GAME WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, THIS GAME IS GENUINELY INCREDIBLE. fr tho, its been so long since i played this game that i genuinely dont know if i still have it laying around but i loved this game and its great to see people playing these games more and more as time goes on and i seriously hope that one day we get a new one but nintendo does what nintendo do ig lol.

Guardian Signs is one of my favorite games in the entirety of the Pokémon franchise, it’s part of the reason I picked up the Mischievous Pichu promo last year. The Multiplayer missions were fun. I had a friend in HS that had the game as well and every morning we’d run a couple missions on the way to school. I don’t remember how far we got, but I think we got up to the light temple. Unfortunately never got to finish the multiplayer missions due to him moving to NY my senior year. I think we got close to successfully getting the Deoxys

When I played this game initially I was shocked at the old people group 'Societea'.

I played this game a lot back when I was a kid, but I never managed to get it to 100%. I never even knew Lugia was in this game. There's still a lot I love about this game though; the soundtrack is by far my favorite out of the three Ranger games, and I love how the environments look much more detailed compared to the previous entries. I just wish the multiplayer missions were scaled down in difficulty when you played by yourself. I remember trying to beat them as a kid, but I had nobody to play with, so the furthest I got was the Ice Temple.

I remember beating the multi-player missions completely alone except one mission that my friend insisted had to be done with at least another player. I was level 86 when i beat the game, but man did it hurt my wrist badly.

I’ve been looking forward to this video. Guardian sings is my favorite of the Ranger games, and seeing you play the first part made me want to replay my copy of guardian signs aswell. I’ve even purchased a pichu plush and made a little prop ukulele to have an ukulele pichu of my own !

Won’t even lie, this trilogy has inspired me to buy guardian signs and the og ranger games, I have played guardian signs but it was on the Wii U virtual console (it was weird) and have never played ranger so I’m excited to get into them both again Thanks for the inspiration…I just have to wait till I have the money for it, they’re kinda expensive to get ahold of here through legitimate Australian sources 😅

Everyone keeps talking about pmd 2 (darkness/time/sky), and while those are great and all, ranger is just as peak. really sad how that series kinda just died. would love to see a new ranger game

4 months late, but I wanted to add that the past missions are impossible to 100% solo, and im not talking about the difficulty. the past missions have their own "browser" in the form of litographs. but certain pokemon are not able to be captured if you arent in co-op. an example that comes to mind is flareon, which only spawns sometimes in one specific fire temple mission. but he's on an isolated platform, and the bridge to that platform only appears if two switches are held down simultaneously. there are more examples, but flareon is the earliest. on top of that, completing each mission really fast and getting either an A or S rank will give reward litographs. A rank has its own reward, but S rank actually has two potential rewards, and one of them is considered a rare drop. meaning you have to complete a mission on great pace (which may not even be doable solo, I havent tested everything myself) several times to get some pokemon. and if that wasn't enough, whenever a regular pokemon drops their litograph, theres a chance they'll actually give you the litograph for a (pre)evolved form instead. a handful of pokemon are either... A: flat out exclusive to this mechanic, and can only be obtained a fraction of the time from a different pokemon's litograph (which already doesn't spawn super often...) or B: able to be captured straight up, but for some reason have a much greater chance of dropping the evolution's litograph rather than their own. either way, this makes a non-negligible portion of the past "browser" extremely annoying to obtain. tl;dr I dont blame you in the slightest for skipping the past missions

Loved watching this series, always great to see these games get the recognition they deserve. Btw I had the same trouble with the corrupted bonus missions before, it's a bug in the MissionInjector. Later on I just found a save file that had the missions on them that I would use for subsequent playthroughs but last year I found out there's a patch for MissionInjector that does make it work, so you could google that if you'd still want to do those missions.

Pokémon ranger Guardian signs and Pokémon conquest and Pokémon black and white 2 are tied for my #1 favorite Pokémon game. Pokémon black 2 was my first Pokémon video game and it’s the one I know the most so that holds a special place. Guardian signs was my first and only ranger game and it was so damn fun. I remember playing it so much. It’s been years but I still remember the story. Conquest was my favorite battle wise I think. I’m a fan of those kind of turn based games the most. I gotta get guardian signs agai and try 100% it

I remember loving Shadows of Almia as a kid (but my DS didn't) and beating it multiple times, at one point I remember having the opportunity to buy this game but never did I don't know why and I regret it every day, especially knowing there will never be a sequel or a remaster of this games. And also, if my DS could speak it would probably want to kill me for how many loop scratches it has on it's touch screen, I was a furious loop-de-looper

I beat the multiplayer missions with a level 67 styler like 2 years ago now, it’s definitely doable and so rewarding. Considering you 100% the game it’d definitely still be worth a try, grinding Salamanca and vesiqueen for levels is the way to go when you’re attempting to beat light temple

I attempted to do the multiplayer mode alone. There's this one awful level in the thunder temple that requires you and a second player to split up to unlock multiple sets of alternating doors. I passed it with a lot of grinding. Right now I'm on the shadow temple. Styler level 50 or 60.

Yeah, the only way you're beating the Light Temple solo is with an Action Replay or a death grind to 99. Sad that the Ranger trilogy is over. It's been fun.

in the past i got to the last boss solo but never had the patience to lvl enought to catch it Thankfully i have 3 other friends which made it a lot easier, so easy we got the final boss of the past AND the secret pokemon from the last temple as partners

The multiplayer missions are genuinely fun if you have multiple people but unfortunately it’s really hard to get even 1 other person who owns this game, let alone 4 people total.

i'm currently going for the Solo-ing the past rbowser. i'm currently at lv70. it's A LOT of grinding to do. i'm on this journey by a few years, and my aim is to complete it in ... let's say 10 years.. The most cumbersome part is that my only active braincell suggests: what about grinding a second copy, just to make the work easier with arceus? My second aim is to catch all past litographs

I always loved guardian signs but it frustrated me that the signs for the legendary kanto birds and ho-ho never really did anything apart from let you fight them

I actually attempted to 100% this game since I got it many years ago, and only the last month was able to get the final pokemon I lacked from the multiplayer misions (mew). You don't seem to have gotten all the single content, letting aside the multiplayer and special missions you still have a reward for S ranking every single pokemon in the dex which you can watch in your profile as a medal

I really enjoyed Pokémon Ranger Guardian Signs. However I found the Oblivia Region to be lackluster. The Fiore Region and the Almia region seemed somewhat fuller with more settlements. I really didn’t like how there was just one Pokémon Ranger for the entire region. It seemed very odd. The Aquaresort was a boring big city for a Pokémon game. Like The Almia region had PuelTown and the Fiore region had Fall city both very cosmopolitan and expansive compared to the AquaResort. Overall I liked the plot and going back in time was an unique experience.

This game really was a beta test for sun and moon.
