I-395 North at Night: Washington DC

I totally agree that more lighting is needed in and around the Springfield Interchange. I drove through there this past September at around 8:00 pm, and the visibility was downright horrible. Also, I've always loved that view on 395 at 1:49 coming down and then up the hill. I definitely have to find time to get a long exposure shot of that someday. Kudos to Erik on the music! He's really talented.

Wow for 16 your son really has an ear for funk! Nice video, never traveled the entire length of 395 at night, just the part in Northern Virginia. On a clear, warm, night it must be a beautiful drive!

No, nobody I know works in a production company....the symbols and graphics are pretty universal, we all get them from Wikipedia and Google searches but with regards to our videos we all have different styles...especially when it comes to music.

Ha, I like these overdrive videos that you've put together, over the years. Nice soundtrack by your son. The only "downside" in all of this is that it appeared VaDOT skimped out a bit on Texas-like mast lighting for the Springfield Interchange; that thing would be awesome to see under better lighting conditions. Thanks for the tour. :)

I used overdrive in Houston and New Orleans in 2010 and in Chicago in 2011 not to mention Philadelphia earlier in this year's trip.

Thanks, yes I always liked that view too.....I was surprised at the lack of light along I-95 towards the Wilson Bridge in general, tried to film that at night and it just didn’t work.

Its very great that you have your son Erik helping you out with the highway videos! However, I notice that there are at least a few YT users (Freeway Brent, Freeway Andrew, Cosmo Photography, etc.) who use almost literally the same style of openings, symbols, logos, graphics and notations you have in your videos? Do you have any relatives or friends other than yourself or Erik working for your highway video production company in any capacity? Or do they have their poruction company?

Who is Erik? I am asking because I like the music and wanna look up whoever did it.
