video follows i-410 in san antonio texasfrom mile 1 to mile 1 , complete loop starting at i-35 . video shows the recently completed section of nw and north loop 410 and the massive i-10 , i-37/us281 and tx-16 stacks
San Antonio a really awesome city but ignored by many people, they don't know what they're missing by not visiting SA the 410 is a really cool hwy specially the northern loop
Ahhh yes, one of my very first videos, before I became much more "polished" with the annotations. :-) I may put together an entirely new set of annotations for that video.
+JMMT7022801 Yeah, I live in San Antonio but Im originally from Michigan.. I had never seen anything like that in my life... it still trips me out to this day a bit.
...I-37, it appears as if you could knock off the support columns with a bowling ball, lol. But neat to see how TxDOT constructed some of their stacks, back in the day. Excellent video! 5 stars for sure.
Awesome at 2:50 and 3:38, nice slowdown for the "Old School" stack at 6:18 too. "I-610 is a really nice road and all but I-410 is better" signed, Kanye West.
Quite frankly, the interchange at I-10 is probably the oddest looking monstrosity of ramps I've ever seen, mainly because of the unconventional angles that I-410 and I-10 meet together at, and you showed this off perfectly by heading in a NE fashion along I-410. It's perhaps highly ironic that TxDOT went from having absolutely *no* interchange at I-410 and US 281 to constructing another monstrosity of an interchange to connect the 2 together. Contrasting those interchanges to the one at...
The old 1960s interchanges are at the lightly traveled south end of town. The interchanges at the freeways on the west, north and east sides have been modernized.
On north junction of 410, I-37 does not exist, its just the 281... but if you keep going south on the 281..it becomes I-37 & 281 until you get to the south junction.. then the 281 splits off from it.
@designbutton Aside from some of the Spurs; there is Eva Longoria, Tommy Lee Jones, Ann B. Davis (Alice from The Brady Bunch) just to name a few that I know for sure.
Post the same video at normal speed. I filmed the same thing 5 years ago when the construction first started. But this way before the construction. I feel people will watch more now things has changed so much long that stretch. People will look for changes.
Yep. 52 miles. The mileage begins at zero at the 35 south underpass, progresses clockwise around town, loops back to end at the 52 milepost at the same underpass.
Nice JOB!!! CAN YOU please do another video of this, area in 2019 its much different the demographics in the 78251 zip code, low unemployment the average income in this area is 61 thousand plus with about 2 percent in the 78251 making over 100,000 thousand ( with the data centers and the chip factories ) it looks like growth is not moving to 281(dont know why you liberals like the zoo so much) its moving out this way even into 90 and 410 sanantonio and into 1604 and 90
The I-37 interchange could at least use some paint on it. It's a POS at the moment. I've never passed during San Antonio rush hour. But I'm sure it's not that busy.
