Thank you for joining me for another soap making video!
Watch me let my creativity run wild and accidentally discover a (for me) new technique to create this funny flaky design in the purple-green-white soap.
Those soaps are exclusively available at my customer's shop at www.mavi-alpac...
If you want to give me a custom order, want to buy soaps as a reseller or purchase some for your personal use then feel free to go to my website www.kraeuterha...

I love your creativity!!! Thank you so much for sharing. What do you line your molds with?
@Kraeuterhahn
@Kraeuterhahn 5 дней назад
Hallo. Thank you for watching my video ❤️ My molds are custom made and they come with single silicone liners that I spray with rubbing alcohol to hold it in place. When I make a doublebatch or bigger I remove one ore more deviders and so my liners don't fit anymore. Then I line my mold with freezer paper and it works pretty well although it makes the sides of the soaploaf a little rough, not as smooth and shiny as they are with the silicone liners.

So,was there really a "new technique" or is this just cheap click-bait?

@@SarahJacksonLV I never seen one in the video or in the description.

@@SarahJacksonLV It isn't clickbait at all. Ironically you can see this in the title, where she modestly says she 1. discovers it (and doesn't say invented), and 2. accidentally discovers it. In the description, first paragraph, she says it's the green/purple soap, and in the comments the pour is mentioned, but perhaps your comments were earlier. But in the video she says "..... this technique...."

Thank you for watching my video! ❤️ My Oils are Rapeseed-, Sunflower-, Olive-, Castor-, Coconitoil and Cocoabutter. The Micas are from a supplyer in Germany, my FOs are from Natures Garden and also from Germany ☺️. The purple soap also contains a highly concentrated Aloe Vera Gel Extract and the plain soap contains also hempseedoil and the green one has nettleleafpowder in it

I never achieved such a flaky design with an ITP swirl. I'm sure it is because I pored it all into one spot but also the consistency must be important...it's one of the designs that works once and never again 😂

Your soaps are beautiful. I wanted to ask you what you do to keep the trace from speeding up during the whole process of making all those soaps. Thank you.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@Kraeuterhahn
@Kraeuterhahn 26 дней назад
Hi. Thank you for watching my videos ❤️ It could be the ratio of saturated to unsaturated fatty acids of your recipe. The more saturated fatty acids your recipe contains the faster it moves. But also certain types of oils speed up trace although they are fluid at roomtemperature. Soaping cool but not too cool to get a false trace...you see, it's all about trial and error...

My question exactly... but not getting a straight answer anywhere 😂 beautiful soaps btw
@Kraeuterhahn
@Kraeuterhahn 14 дней назад
Thank you very much! 😂 the straightest answer you will ever get is: learn to know your recipe and how to deal with the effects of the additives...this is only possible by not usig tooo many different recipes.

I love how organized and clean you keep your working area! Thank you for sharing this content. I'm new to soap making and tyring learn and absorb as much as possible but I'm curious what your water/lye ratio is typically? Also, when you put your mixer in the container when you are not using it, does it just sit in water or do you have some other mixture in there?
@Kraeuterhahn
@Kraeuterhahn Месяц назад
Hallo. Thank you for watching my video ❤️ My water lye ratio is Lye 1:1.5 Water. That means I work with a water discount. This may speed up your recipe, what means you have less working time. Keep that in mind when it comes to blending...just blend enough to reach emulsion, than split the batter for colours and fragrence. Preparation is everything so make sure to have your colours predispersed and always stir them in by hand, as well as your fragrences to extend working time. In "SoapCalc" you can get an imagination if your recipe might be a speedo if you look at the ratio of saturated to unsaturated fatty acids. The more unsaturated fatty acids your recipe contains, the slower it might be...working at roomtemperature helps also. And one last recommendation: don't use too many different recipes. Just stick to two or so and learn everything about their behaviour... My stickblender stands in warm water... Happy soaping ❤️
