I added a secret room to this house! 

It took James 6 minutes to realize base game + one pack builds are awfully boring. Respect. I usually give up 2 minutes into challenging myself like that.

We really need a basegame update that adds a few more landscaping plants, mainly non-flowering bushes and vines. I am definitely downloading all the werewolf builds that you've redone with all the cheats and packs you needed to make them exactly how you envisioned them! edit: omg why did I type vampire instead of werewolf

I don't know if this has been recommended in the past, but since base+1 builds (like base game + werewolves) can be boring or limited, maybe you could do builds based on 3 packs like the bundles. Like a Get to Work, Dine Out, and Cool Kitchen Stuff build. That way people who don't have a lot of packs can snag a bundle and use the build. Base game + Get Together + Realm of Magic + Paranormal would be pretty cool!

While I do love the werewolf containment unit, I do kinda wanna build a cozy space for the good doggos.

I did a hidden jail room years age. I had an elderly rich couple that had a YA son who was spoiled and one night after partying all night, on his way home he was abducted by an alien. So, the alien disguised himself as the spoiled son and locked him in a hidden jail cell. I split the basement in half and used the bookshelf door (locked to everyone but the alien son) as the entrance. The alien would go down at night to interrogate and feed his "specimen". The alien son respected his "parents" and treated everyone better, so he was loved, and no one knew the difference. The only issue was, when playing other households, I would see the jailed son walking around. I might redo that storyline. It was fun to play. Your build looks good. I might download it for my game. Thanks.

i think the werewolves pack is the first time i’ve actually played in a pre-made starter home and slowly built it up. great job building james!

You should add a werewolf punching bag and weight machine down in the basement for something to do.

I was thinking you could've enclosed the secret staircase, extended the wall by one block and added a door to make it look like an old homestead sidewall shed.

It's sort of annoying that you can't add telescopes to Balconies because it considers the railing and roof a room. IDK what they did for the Sims originally but you could use Telescopes on balconies back then.

Honestly relating to this video so much because having been building in Moonwood Mill a lot lately I have also had to redesign my basements a lot lately to work with houses being on foundation or having platforms. It's your fault for being so dang creative and making me feel like I need to keep the original spirit of these builds and having basement sewers, bunkers and rage dens 😆 but I love it. Making me utilize basements like it's 2018 all over again

james not being able to use move objects / free place is so insane to me, because maxis literally has builds that use it? maybe its only in older packs, but there are 100% lots from maxis/base game/packs where ive placed it down and its given that notifications thats like "btw this has been built using move objects so careful"

I just got this build in Home Decorator and it was crazy they liked, green, fishing, handiness, wellness & garden... in their living room. So needless to say I tore your living room up! But they were happy. I think you need revisit Hazel and see if they are on her list... Just saying..

You could try wall vines to cover the corners of the 'cells'. If it's been there along time, vines could've gotten in there, maybe lol

XD And a shame about the cell walls not actually functioning as, you know, WALLS. *pats* But I like all the little updates you made to the build, and the idea of them having a special containment area to stop rampages is a good one! Think you did a great job, James! (And with less venturing into other packs than I would have done -- I just CAN'T limit myself like that, no matter how hard I try.)

I wanted to commit that when you tried to change the spandrels, I am glad you kept it, because they look like the top fangs from the wolfs mouth.

Love the idea of the basement cells! I feel like Rory, as the oldest adopted child (and maybe adopted as a child, whereas Jacob was adopted as a toddler), Christopher would have been a bit harder on her (not being very experienced with children). I imagine her as a pup, being forced into the cells, without understanding much, and not getting a lot of help to cope with her rage. That she was taught to suppress rather than understand it, and told that there was something wrong with her for being so angry/not being able to suppress it enough. Seeing how Jacob was treated differently, and seemed to cope better and had more empathy and help might have pushed her over the edge, to create the Wildfangs. My supersim was born as a werewolf, and is now a teenager. I have (finally) gotten her aggression levels under control, so I can focus on the high school pack. But as a young adult, I will have her start out joining the peaceful pack and do all that aspiration. (maybe even a bit before she age up, seeking 'guidance' from others like her) But the level of suppression will be too much for her, it have become twisted and unhealthy, though the original idea was good. So she switch to the wild fang pack, do all of those aspirations, and let her inner beast run wild. Once she got the rage out of her system, she will become a lone wolf, and start focusing on the other packs. I might keep her werewolf for a while (would be a shame to waste all the perk points), until she discovers her ancient bloodline and go for spell caster. Or maybe vampire first, I don't know. I also add my own lore to other sims families, but this series was actually perfect for inspiration. :)

for some reason in my save this family (the ai that controls them)adopts 3 kids and the dad has an alien baby, ontop of their teenage son, it was absolutely wild and I swear one of them got taken away by family services cause there was so many kids in that 3 bedroom house

i think one of the sneak out windows and the trellice ladder under rory's room would be so good. Especially since we know Lily gardens, a trellis would fit with the house!

Werewolves is the first time I haven't just automatically bulldozed all new world lots! I bulldozed them like 5 mins in instead. lol JOKE I'm actually still using your original builds, I just added CC and decor! I adore your builds and build vids and could watch you build all day, I learn so much. Still think you are the best builder and designer in the community and aren't recognised for it properly!!!

i tossed a secret basement entrance on a few of my houses before, very fun to do. I used mostly the build cheat so I could cram random items infront of the area to make it hard to see.

I think you had the moon petal item on the kitchen table, and some cabinet from Eco in the kitchen near the table, when walls down it would be near the shoe rack.

"Self-designated cells" nice try James, but now my internal lore is that Kristopher mantains a "good guy" facade but behind the scenes his pack is very dark and use this cells for obscure things, and Rory rebeled against all this bullshit.

I think the stairs for the basement look real with that gap. Honestly if you could throw some grass growing in or some cracks it'd be perfect for a kind of broken aesthetic. As it is to me it just looks a little bit askew. Not clipping. Like when wear and tear of dirt meeting stone moves the stone?

Ahhh the basement is so cool ! Really happy to see it ! I also did it in my game and it work pretty well. You just need a sane sim to jail the insane one ah ah (at least he didn't destroy the bathroom 🙃)

Please to live in a 200-year-old farmhouse. And the side had an entrance to the basement that looked just like that and there was a little bit of concrete foundation in between the stone and the wall Above. And then it entered in the basement to a furnace room and we also had an entrance from the house going down and it was my brothers bedroom on the other entry other side.

Not me, playing the pack and not looking at the family tree and realizing my sim was now in a weird love triangle with both Rory and Christopher. I honestly didn’t realize it until it was mentioned by either you or Deli… I definitely couldn’t handle that accidental situation and started a challenge on a new save… guess I’ll get back to werewolves eventually! (I’m having too much fun in my new save… made a retail store gallery to sell my sims paintings, and using the moschino pack stuff meant for photography with the paint from reference feature has led to such fun paintings… and the Acting backgrounds… such a fun save I have going! Wanted to share to give other simmers ideas)
