How premade lots are created in The Sims 4 Werewolves (Starter Home)

I bet the hardest part was only using The Werewolf and Base game packs, no move objects, and building to EA rules

I would NEVER have guessed the werewolf pack to be an exclusively James Turner builds pack! Congrats on this huge opportunity James!

This would actually be a fun build challenge. No cheats, pick only one pack on top of base game, try to be somewhat generic and not too heavily detailed. I’m glad they got you to build for this pack, using the Game Changers for this stuff works so much better. It looks nicer and I’m sure it’s easier on the devs and gurus.

You know, if someone asked me "who of all the game changers is most likely to be a secret werewolf" I wouldn't even think twice, so I think EA definitely picked the right guy here

Love that you put your foot down about the range hood in the kitchen! I’ve only lived in 60-70s style Aussie rental homes irl and there’s typically one over the stove, it’s just really old lol

EA: so why did you put wood wallpaper on the chimney? also EA: builds houses with literally no toilet and stairs going nowhere

Aww it's a shame they asked you to change the bathroom roof. As someone born and raised in this area of the US, I can tell you those little add on roofs (set at a varied angle and height) are very common; especially on older homes where a bathroom or kitchen at one point was an addition to the house. I thought it looked great, and had a really nice authentic touch. I would have made the little stoop in front wood, cause in this area, older homes in small towns were almost always all wood. But the scoop roof in front is a really nice touch too.

This starter looks way better than any "normal" house I ever built. You have done such an amazing job building the lots (the library they showed in the livestream was superb) and seeing you so excited about the B&B stuff is really cute tbh :) It would be really interesting to know how long the build of this world actually took, from EA asking you to do it to the last meetings. I imagine they started maybe like last summer or something like that?

honestly how freaking cool is it that you got to build every single lot? I’ve been watching you for years; you were the first sims RU-vidr that really made a name for himself with your builds and your gameplay. You paved the way for so many others to do the same and here you are building everything for the WHOLE PACK!

Way too many "representatives" in this community are always just so negative and critical, in a lot of instances they kill the joy of anything new. I realy dig the early world buuld look of "Wolf town" gives a fun look on how things are made.

i feel like this starter house give the vibes of “face value.” the outside was redone, for either a reselling value or being too torn up by werewolves. the inside is still run down and old, halfway through the process of being fixed due to damages from werewolves who have lived there and destroyed it over the years.

I can't believe you're actually making the buildings for the new game pack!! Did you ever in your lifetime imagine you'd be at this point in your career? This is such an epic milestone and I'm so proud of you 🥰

The fact that James didn't put the giant trunks in the room with the small bed and the small table in the room with the big bed, just, does something to me.

It's really bold of EA to say a concrete platform looks unfinished when they released literally dozens of houses with no lights, unpainted rooves, mismatched windows, stairs to nowhere, missing toilets, or just straight up empty. 😐

Cool to see how you worked with the revisions process and a few of the offhand mentions of the EA restrictions like number of different wallpapers and that it's more the number of different objects than the overall total that can cause game issues.

Well, now we know why EA houses are not that good: to built a proper house with all that restrictions, it takes a whole James Turner 😂 With enormous experience in building in games, not only in the Sims ❤️

I’m so happy that they had James build ALL of the builds in the game! I love other creators builds as well, but their styles never feel super lore friendly like James’ builds do.

I never thought I'd ever want or need the werewolf pack but now that I know you built all the houses I am quite tempted. EA really knows what they're doing when they have popular Simmers build their lots.

I love this starter home! It is probably my favourite in the whole game. I remember when I first got the werewolves pack and I had my sim move in here. I had so much fun playing, and because of it this house will always have a special place in my heart.

This pack is not my vibe but I am super excited that James was giving this opportunity and he did an amazing job.

Cool that you were invited to design these lots! That must have been fun to do. I am one who bulldozes most of the pre-made houses because they're usually not to my taste. - 50 to 100 year old houses that I've seen have often been built onto several times over their lifetime. They have different foundations under different areas and the rooms sort of poke off the first building, added as they were needed. There's often been one room to start, no kitchen, no bathroom. The kitchen was often outside to start... a wood stove out in the yard, a hand water pump near it... or a creek/water source near enough to haul water from. The bathroom was an outhouse somewhere "over there". Then over time, the kitchen was moved inside and later, the bathroom... starting with a room to set the square galvanized tub for bathing and later adding toilet and sink... and eventually a modern bathtub. Showers are something that became "normal" in the 1970s (where I lived).

Very realistic. I live in an old mill town and the first house I owned was actually an old boarding house for mill workers. I approve 👍!

A few days later, i play the game pack and god !!! this house is wonderful, so practical, she's perfect, the room placement is perfect, the size is perfect (can also be turn on tinyhouse 88/100 which is a good bonus for a starter) I really love this house ! Thank you very very much for your work on it !

I maybe would have done a plant or two since the world is so lush, bring a little of the outside in, you know? But I really love the detail of the tin roof over the kitchen. Hey James, Carpet in the bathroom threw me back to my childhood. My grandmother, God rest her soul, had health issues and poor blood circulation so her extremities stayed cold. She wore socks year round. Anyway, long story short, she had carpet in her bathroom so she would be cozy getting out the tub. Everyone gave her their opinions about that. She had carpet in every room of her house!! Lol. Love this build! Im so excited you built the lots for this pack!

I am someone that has watched James for years and never comment! But i wanted to come on here and say how cool this is! For one it is awesome to see James creating things for EA and the Sims - just a proud fan moment. Secondly it is just interesting to see how this game comes together. It is honestly something I never really thought about so amazing to see how much work goes into a pack - makes you appreciate it just a little bit more!
