In this video I added the new 2026 F1 cars to the F1 24 game to see how they race. 0:00 Intro 0:13 new Engines 1:08 new override ERS 1:59 new Z-Mode dowfroce 2:50 new X-mode low drag 3:40 Lighter cars and smaller tires 4:35 F1 2026 Race
Its scary to feel/know that f1 cars wont have a beautiful engine sound, blownoff valve or exhaust flames again. Instead we hear high pitch whistleblower sounds. I hope its just my imagination though
A few things, 2026 cars are getting rid of the MGU-H which was what muffled current f1 exhaust noises, thus 2026 cars theoretically should have much louder exhaust, furthermore, the high pitch whistling/whining sound is never going to go away as it is not even due to the engine, its the rubbing of the straight cut transmission gears that produce this sound and it is noticeable in almost every modern race car, it only became more noticeable recently due to the exhaust microphone being much closer to the transmission as of late and the 2026 regulations are also developing sustainable fuels and I predict their goal is to develop sustainable fuels to a level in which they can completely replace the hybrid unit come 2030 or so, perhaps allowing for a return of v8s which many have mentioned.
I can tell you’ve never been to an F1 race. The cars sound great, not a screaming engine but it’s still very enjoyable to listen to without causing your ears to hurt after a few laps.
@@srthebox4946Yeah. That sustainable fuel thing is what gives me hope right now. Even Stefano Domenicali has said that he'd like to have louder and bigger V8 engines again if the sustainable fuel project works out
The only major issue I see with this is the differential in speed between cars using ERS and cars not using it. Slow moving cars are fine during practice sessions and quali since drivers expect them, but what happens during a race when one driver is on a different strategy to another? Suddenly that closing speed becomes very dangerous. I have confidence they’ll have it sorted in time.
tbf, cause this games ai isnt designed around the car i wouldnt be surprised if it looks nothing like this in 2026 even if they change nothing from now to then
I just feel that, having a lighter car, less mechanical and aero grip, less downforce too, and MORE power? Yeah it’ll be fun but I feel like that’s a recipe for on track disaster
The peak power will probably be the same as now, but the avarage power during the race will be lower because the electrical power cant be used the whole time
Hey man i would really love to know how does one do this and alter game files? Theres some mods myself and few other want to create for a community but we need to figure out how to alter the game files itself first, any pointers or advice would be deeply appreciated
My thoughts on the 2026 F1 cars: Basically I think F1 lost it since they added the 2022 regulations. Asides making it prettier, they took alot from it. Cars sound like vacuum tubes of a computer, no more exhaust flames(bruh👀 worst update ever)and Monaco is kinda easier since the cars are wider(I liked narrower when the competition was there). The game even shows the 2026 models can't go 8th gear on eau rouge like wtf. Ala mobile and monoposto(mobile games) and every F1 games since F1 18 can go flat out 8th gear in the dip with at least 293-298km/h on the dash. Generally I see the 2026 F1 as a pro mod of an F2 car if not Super Formula level. Its kinda just alot safer(yeah safety is fun but too much makes the adventure boring)rather than competitive like it used to be😢
How accurate are these mods? Coz I can’t imagine the physics engine on these games only really reflects the models original programmed for the game. It’s not like they’re complex aero simulators so do they really reflect different models added to the game or are they more like just skins and use other models as a base for their handling/performance. I’m not just thinking about the F1 games but also stuff like aestto corsa and I-racing. Like it takes a long time of R&D to program these games so I don’t get the feeling that a quick model drawn up in a game editor really is gonna reflect the real world performance. Or is it just me?
@@Lando_JorisI think running it at a medium setting in most straights would be enough to go many laps without having to deal with saving since they have so much regeneration.
Why is the car so slow without ERS, i remember LMP1 easily sustain 330kmh with 500hp because they have little drag now f1 has even lower drag with active aero it's not making sense to me. Lmp1 also had 50/50 split
Yes but AI are really bad at ERS management. They are bad enough with ERS with normal 2024 cars. So with this mod making ERS management even more important they are just awful
@@Lando_Joris Because exciting overtakes still happen during em. F1 2026 cars would give, as you can see on your own video, the worst possible overtakes ever in this series.
There's gonna be a lot of overtaking with this BUT it will be dangerous. And the wheel to wheel battles will be fun. Hopefully, the FIA would be more strict in giving out penalties so drivers don't die out there driving like Magnussen 😂
