I watched this man since he was a mod reviewer in the old lab. He is one of my favorite youtubers of all time even though I haven't seen his videos in a while. I'm glad to see how far he has come.
i would honestly love to see a video or even stream of dan learning how to code that would really be so fun to watch for a few reasons 1. i dont know anything about coding so i would learn 2. i love to see the process of him searching stuff up and learning from the chat 3. dan failing at stuff 4. a working end product and also, a series of long content for the second channel :D
I’ve watched this dudes Minecraft vids since 2017 and he has always been amazing from making vids on mods to now making his own we will always love u Dan
To properly animate custom models all you have to do is position the bone's pivot point in the correct location and then assign it the proper body part animation when you import the model. Hope this helps. The pivot point is the location of a cube or bone where it's center of rotation will be. If this still confuses anyone, just put the pivot point in-between the body part and the body and it should work fine. If it's still too confusing sorry, I'd recommend a visualized tutorial, or just don't place the pivot points correctly and say it's supposed to look goofy ahh
For anyone confused it's the point on the model where the bone rotates. So if you create a limb without properly placing them, then the limb will go crazy in game. You can see an option for it in blockbench on the right menu.
A better idea would be to use a bee for the animation of the fly. It’s relatively the same size! I’m also really happy to see this types of videos from you again, Dan! Reminds me of the mod reviews in a strange way…!
We need a DanTDM and Fundy collab, Dan’s a legend mod reviewer and Fundy’s a god at coding and commands. Imagine the hilarious content they could make.
I’m so happy of the evolution of creating mods from reviewing them, as someone who’s been a long time fan. I’m glad to have been here for 10 years watching your content
Never thought I'd see the day dantdm uses blockbench Here's a few tips: 1. Shift and Ctrl can change how many pixels you scale/move things Shift=1/4 Ctrl=1/16 Ctrl+Shift=1/64 That might not be accurate I only use shift. 2. To make animations you need to create an animation set and then add different animations for each action the mob/block performs. 3. you can manually change the pivot point of a part to make animations smoother. I don't know how to exactly explain this so someone please reply with better tips
It's honestly amazing to see the evolution of this channel over the years. I've been watching Dan since 2016 and all I can say is that he's still my favourite RU-vidr and my most iconic childhood RU-vidr as well! Lots of love!
This has already been said a lot of times but Dan has come from doing mod reviews to creating them! I’ve watched Dan since the mod review days so it’s exciting to see something slightly similar in a strange way. Anyways, I wan to see Dan (attempt to) make a dragon in Minecraft.
@@FrenzyOptic93. It's not really copy, since many other RU-vidrs do it as well. What you said is basically the same meaning as 'Dan did a hardcore series, he copied SB737!' Edit: This wasn't meant to sound mean , I'm just bringing awareness.
I've watched Dan for over half of my life, which I can't believe because I'm almost in high school, Dan has never failed to make me interested in his content, I used to only be able to watch a limited amount of things on RU-vid, Dan being an exception and I'm glad my parents let me watch him, he really is awesome and has made me happy.
Absolutely loved this, I really hope he continues to do this and make more of these videos. To think our Dan is actually creating his own Minecraft mods
2:30 Dan, Right click the texture in "paint" and choose "resize texture" and resize it to 32x32 or 64x64 or etc... Then click the "Fill with" drop down and click stretch. Voila. 2:54 While sizing the hair. Click on shift to make the increment smaller and ctrl if you want the increment to be even more smaller. PSA : You can use MCreator for java (It's a program to make mods without coding, it's soooo much easier than what your doing in bedrock)
PSA: don't use MCreator. PLEASE. Learn to code. It's really easy, trust me. Just look up "Modding with Kaupenjoe" on youtube. He's a good tutorial. Also, please use Fabric. It makes modding so much easier than forge.
congrats on 26m dan, you’ve held my life together for so long and you’ve prevented me from my death, i’ve got multiple issues and feel suicidal a lot but you’ve helped me through this, thanks dan. thank you.
