This is the first original song by the Rock-afire since 1984 and, possibly, the start of our second album. You can buy this single and support the Rock-afire at www.cdbaby.com/cd/therockafire...
People were shipping Billy Bob on Tumblr. The guy who built/owns the original mechs didn't know what shipping was, so he assumed everyone thought Billy Bob was actually gay lol
@@TheDwarfNextDoor I wouldn't be surprised if that had nothing to do with it. but that isn't meant to detract from the pointless bestiality sphere of tumblr and how potentially gay its audience is. nothin but respect there
We wouldn't have put this in Showbiz. This is for my fans to let them know we can still have fun together with the Rock-afire whether they're gay or straight and we use the word "gay" without fear that we're using a hot button word. This song is an experiment to see how uptight everybody is while trying ro say, "OK Gay is normal, straight is normal. Now, where's me a girlfriend?"
@fanprograms Ah, the creative art of concealing naughty references in songs and props. I didn't realise you'd popped all those whimsical drug and sex references into your past songs. It's like pantomime, it operates on two levels. Innocent humour for the kids and naughty bits for their parents. I'll have to admit that this song made me squirm the first time I heard it, since I'm a "bear" and didn't come to grips with my sexuality until my late 30's. It sums up the charade I lived.
Most modern christians are no longer as "crazy" about the negative effects of rock and roll on our children, but in the 50's and even the 60's, I heard this kind of over the top criticism of rock and roll on our nations youth. What they once called, "The Devil's music" is now thought of as the innocent age of rock-and roll. Even if toddlers sing this song, it will not take away their innocence. I hope this song helps older children with sexual identity problems not to worry. It is now 2011.
why are we arguing about whether "the birds and the bees" and mentions of homosexuality are bad for kids (really tho it's 2014 people) instead of talking about the fact that rolfe runs a dating website?? because i feel like that is a very important thing to acknowledge.
Mom- " Time to go Susie, it's almost dark!" Susie- " But mom! I want to see Billybob answer my question!" Mom- "Okay Susie. 2 more minutes" Billybob- " I ain't gay but I've never kissed a girl.." Mom- Susie get in the car we're leaving Susie- But mo.. Mom-NOW
Just remember that Fatz and Billy Bob are the only two characters we know that are canonically straight. What I’m trying to say is I’m 90% convinced Dook and Beach Bear are closeted homosexuals. Edit: The fact that you guys are taking this silly comment I made about old kids pizzeria animatronics (without even knowing a lot of the lore) so seriously is very funny-
@fanprograms - This song is a celebration of innocence, and acceptance of sexual orientations. All Billybob asks in this song is that he be accepted for who he is and that he anxiously hopes for the day his heart may be fulfilled with the love of a sweet girl as he imagines serving her breakfast in bed, and other lovely shows of affection. (if she's sweet, which is kind of a suggestion to anyone who wants their lover to be sweet to them), Billybob is growing up. more to come.
mr fecther you are the man thanks fanprograms for posting the rock-afire remixes and new originals this was so awesome to watch and hear all the characters voices like i remember them soo fondly
@andrewmarcus91 If it's not catchy, then why are you still humming the tune? Thank you for your opinions. No one paid me to do this so I didn;t sell out anyone. I think this conversation is now over.
Haha this is adorable...I love this song. Once I get the money, I'll most definitely buy it! Keep up the good work! "Looney Bird, you just cost us our family rating..."
Hey all..We're not in Kansas anymore. (That's where the home office for Showbiz Pizza Place was by coincidence). I am now playing to an audience of mostly adults who were children in the 80's. There will be a variety of shows for different age groups just as any rock group might have. Yes, I have a plan, and I have blocked Andy so he can't piss on my parade as easily as I have allowed up to now.
This is for everyone who says "This song talks about sex". Yes..1000's of songs talk about making love. 10's of thousands. Many of which we were all raised on. Let's see if the next 100 comments can be from people who can name songs they heard on the radio that talked about making love, or sex. I will start it off. How about "Under The Boardwalk", Love in this Club". "Whole Lotta Love", "I want to Sex you up", "Need You Tonight", "Let's go all the way", "Lay Lady Lay", "I'm on Fire", "Sexy MF", "I Wanna Be your man!". So, everybody grow up and realize what this song is all about. "The normalization of the word "Gay". Using the word "gay" in a sentence without it being a symbol for sultry, sexual activities that repel straight people". This song is presented to you as a public service of The Rock-afire Explosion, and it may just take you a few decades to understand that.
Hell, there’s several songs that went even further than talking about “making love” that the public was totally okay with being on the radio & on TV where kids could hear it, like the blatantly titled “S&M” by Rihanna, “1, 2, 3” (I think it’s called) by Britney Spears (a not-so-subtle song about having a threesome), “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke and Pharrell, and “Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry (where she talks about having a “ménage a trois). And that doesn’t include all the super-raunchy rap songs that continue to get heavy rotation. I could go on. This is nothing compared to any of those songs.
@therockafire Nothing could be more innocent than this message of Abtstainance from a bear who simply recognizes that one could be gay and one could be straight, with no judgment offered as to what one should be. Billybob is the innocent bear that he is and he is proud of it.
I'm a little behind (ok, a lot behind) and I hadn't seen this, but I see where you're going. Trying to mix some safety for the new young fans, and secretly pushing the humor for the older ones of us to enjoy. Can't wait for a new album!
As a fan of the rock a fire, I love it! Please continue to make more and more of it to keep these guys a live. As far as these nasty comments about faith or offending someone, this is entertainment and the title should not offend anyone!
This is so awesome! I'm ecstatic that to find that the RAE are still around and that they do new songs. All I remember is 20 years ago, I was a 10 year old kid that wanted to go to Showbiz Pizza as my reward for making good grades and I get there and its gone and there are weird lifeless characters were in its place! Never thought I'd see them again. I'm ecstatic! Great job Aaron!:)
"cmon hunny its getting late!" "no not yet!,billy bob needs to awnser my question!!!!" "ok 5 minutes" **starts singing "i aint gay" "hunny we are leaving and not looking back" "but mam!"
all you people hating in the comments learn to take a joke god I hate the world to day every one hating people fighting killing and they cant take a joke!!
It was always for adults who don't take themselves too seriously. Just like rock and roll. Anyone who creates something and says, "this is for kids" could easily miss the mark. Kids hate "kid stuff". And, by the way, some of you figured out that if there's nothing wrong with coming out and saying "I'm gay", then there also must be nothing wrong with coming out and saying "I'm not gay", especially if you're trying to find a girlfriend, which, let's face it, every teen age boy hopes for.
As a fan of RAE that ain't not-gay, I was worried this was going to be offensive, but Aaron manages to be his sweet self at all times. Also, Billy Bob, her name is Mitzi AND YOU NEED TO OPEN YOUR EYES BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
@andrewmarcus91 That's OK..This song is for ages 7 and up. We've done other songs for older age groups as well, such as "I want a new drug", Sexie Sadie, I touch Myself". I suggest, if you are trying to sheild your child from music with any sexual overtones that you prescreen my work because almost all of it has a message that relates to our basic need to love each other.
I dont buy it personally. Billy bob is the most flamboyant character of the group togather with rolfe. Also he is a bear witch is a tearm for a larger gay man from what i heard.
Well that was unexpected! Haha I loved it though especially the end bit "You just cost us our family rating!" xD And for the people who say it's not family friendly: Well, you're right, but no one's forcing you to show it to your kids and besides, most of the audience here are adults so to throw in a song that's a bit more "adult" is understandable. There's plenty of other RAE stuff out there for the kids to watch, and hopefully more new songs to come! Keep up the great work Aaron! :)
I dont know why people freak out over this song, it's a good song with a tad bit of humor. Grown people are over here disturbed and immature about it yet I'm 13 and I'm still mature over here.
I kind of want to have the album that was mentioned in the description, but I know I won't be able to find it lol But honestly, this is very comedic, and I never knew I needed this
