We had one we finally had to shoot. Wouldn't stay in, and corrupted the others. Round up for shots she would bust the pen down. Charged if you got close. We only kept her because she threw good calves and would give 4 calves in 3 years.
@@C.V._McCullar, Wow, she sounds like the bad sister to this cow. We've had some that were onery, but never like this one or yours. Take care, thanks for commenting.
Ahoy, do you think the rope around the back leg was pissing it off? It would make for a boring video if they just led the cow down the hill peacefully.
I was really expecting at least one or two comments about how the cow was collected. Not here, and it's awesome to see so many people that appreciate what these guys do the same way I do! Not just about who they are on a normal day, but these fun little excursions into their life in the background!
I love it when you take us out in the helicopter - the views from up there are just incredible! Utah must be the most beautiful State.. I'd love to see it with my own eyes one day.. I've always wanted to see snow! Thank you, HeavyD! XX
I like how Diesel Dave's soft side was showing, he was petting and talking to her to try and calm her down and try to ensure her that everything was going to be okay. Dave you oh softy you. lol.
This was such a great “bonus” video! Seeing the beauty of the land and OG ranch transportation vs Dave Sparks mode of ranching. Thanks for sharing yet another great adventure !!!!
I’ve watched this video with my son three times together and it never gets old!! We live in Utah too and hope to meet you and your fun crew one day!! Thanks for giving us some fun and wholesome content to watch as a family!!
@Frances Camp it didn’t hurt her or bother her in any. And much safer for the cow and everyone involved. I was waiting for her to fall and break a leg.
That was great . I never would've thought you would have a video recovery of a cow . An it wasn't an ordinary recovery but an excellent recovery to boot
awesome to see how you guys keep it real, even know they are on a major tv show they both get down and dirty. they still have the level headness and havent let it go to their heads, watching diesel dave and the empathy he has is amazing.
What a great content!! The b roll, music all off it!! Straight 🔥🔥 And loved to see jimbo on his horse completely in his element !! Man if i had the chance i would move from the Netherlands to there so i could work for HeavyDSparks!
This video is the BEST one yet!! Had me cracking up at times and loved how Diesel Dave comforted Karen when she was tied. BTW…. Who is that handsome cowboy 🤠 😍 🔥
Me and my wife have a trip planned to Utah in march, by watching your videos I would say it's the most beautiful place on earth. The only thing I'd like more than the beautiful sight seeing is to meet you. In my opinion you seem to be the most humble, honest, and hard working RU-vidr out there. I hope your channel continues to grow because if anyone deserves it it's you sparks.
@HesvyDSparks u guys do some crazy different recovers and I want to say thank you to you and the rest of ur team.. I never miss a video and love the content....
I had one mixed Angus then maybe holsteen. Long legs she jumped every fence she want, ( strangely only on the property never onto the road) I saw her the day she jumped into the neighbors pasture, and their horses hurried over to check the stranger out. Well she came back quicker then she went over and never jumped that fence line again. Paint was a great cow, gave us several sets of twins.
Karen was on the plate for butcher box that's why he had so much enjoyment lol Good work it kind of had that Yellowstone vibe hopefully we can see more ranch videos from Diesel Brothers crew
WOW! great video. Loved the shots of the "cowboys" riding out on the horses in the snow to get Karen. Amazing camera work there. Karen really needs a diet of "Mellow Grass" :)
I agree, that was my favorite part. Really takes you back to what it was like at one point. People in these areas were really doing this on a daily basis. (Some obv still do) but its cool to see horses being used. Its a tool we still have
I do have to admit its admirable you are not the type to let anyone do anything important unless your certain they can do it better than you. Also your willing to try any crazy things multiple times regardless for the shot!
Awesome! I've never seen a cow with that much fight! The big story for me is that, whilst a single head isn't going to make or break a farming operation, all of you guys fought on that hill to bring her home safely - whether she liked it or not! Well done guys, I enjoyed that.
I would have gotten ahold of a vet and got a tranq and given her that and pull her out on a sled or trailer. But that's me from my warm room, a month and a half after this was posted ;) hahaha HeavyD your face just lit up for this, you definitely admired her spunk, as well as respected her love for the nomad life! Love the smiles, smiling eyes and pearly whites as you try on a new adventure.
In the next Video Karen will be on the way to the Butcher in a Box processing facility. Place an order now and Karen just might be on her way to your door. Great video guys! Content and your philanthropy is why I subscribe and get merchandise monthly to support this channel.
I was thinking the same thing. I really caught a belly roll on the butcher box add. I thought if they can't recover her just a shot and drag her to butcher box orders dept.
That's A nice video. Lots of work. Totally understand and I am happy to see she wasn't hurt. Along with all of you for that matter. Have a awesome time there in the Utah snow. Look forward to many more videos from both of you Wranglers.
I grew up on a cattle farm. All of our Angus cows were very mean. They jumped over fences, went threw the fences, and would chase my dad after the had their calves. We slowly sold them out of our herd. Now all we have is Hereford cows.
this was so cool to watch !!! and Jim is a wild cowboy! love to see u guys care of saving 1cow and rescue it ! keep up the great work ! greetings from Belgium
I love all your videos, but I'm a farmer and This one is by far the best. There were some dicey moments in there and I'm glad no one got hurt but it made for some great video!
Growing up we had a registered Angus Cow that was so mean and wild we had to build a corral out of railroad ties just to hold her when we had to doctor her or one of her calves. We tied her in the barn one day and she ripped a support post out that was a 6x6 in concrete. We were working on her calf and she ran everyone out of the barn. It wasn't long after that we built the corral dubbed the Wendy catcher. She might not have been as rank as Karen but we never went in her pasture when she had a calf. She would charge you from an acre away and try to stomp you. Your efforts to capture her and get her safely back were fun and impressive to watch. Keep up the amazing content.
Angus ate so stubborn. Cattle are herd animals…. I’m surprised she didn’t seek out other cows. Very entertaining and y’all made it look easy. Well done.
I love watching your videos its great to see how much you help other people out and inspires me to be a better person. Also I just made my first order from Butcher box can’t wait for it to get here thanks
If they were farmers they would know what they were doing and how to handle the cow properly resulting in the job taking way longer than it should have not to mention the stress levels on the cow itself. If the job had been handled properly with the correct amount of people and the use of dogs that cow could have walked out of there not stressed and lashing out in the way it did.
We had a freemartin Angus a few years back that was bigger than our bull. High headed and scary as hell. Tore through a steel corral built out of old oil drill shafts. Took a good crew and many tranqs before she left this farm.
That is almost like in Norway, Sweden and Finland with the "Lappish" people with their reindeers🤩 they have a so nice job😍 riding snowmobiles, atv's and handling the deers. Nice vid!
Great job guys, How many people did you have there. Against 1 cow but all of you were needed. Had a blast watching it. Always be safe in your travels and Take Care
U ALL HAD ME LAUGHING WITH TEARS.. MAY DAD IS 82 YRS OLD AND WAS RAISED AROUND COWS.. HE SAID WELL THATS THE 1ST FOR ME.. LAUGHING HARD.... THANK U FOR THAT VIDEO...
Thats was awesome loved seeing the horses I lost my horse last year she got struck by lightning. We hade a cow like Karen she would jump any fence and go throw them but now my pasture is empty great video
It’s nice to be able to play “any” video of heavy D sparks and always be entertained.. it’s so cool to watch a cool group of guys having fun in a wide variety of trades. 💯🇺🇸
Fun Video That cow sure showed you who was boss ha ha if you want to come over to Australia and make videos helping out the people that are affected by flooding we'd love to have you Heavy D and Diesel Dave.
I can’t imagine ranching on hillsides like that. I would not want to build fences there…the amount of posts would be crazy. I run electric wire 60’ in between posts. Anyway to answer the cattle deer question…when I feed with a processor making windrows, deer come eat with the cattle. Doesn’t seem to be any issues.
