I almost QUITTED sky | Reasons why veterans quit 

things that keep me entertained in Sky: 1. Being rich (Cuz I have over 1.8k candles right now) 2. travelling spirits 3. one special friend from China that I made Edit: looking back at this comment having almost 4.5k candles right now. HAHAHA

As an ikemen, the only way to be happy again is. teach moth.

When were a moth, there's only one goal we wanted. To became an ikemen. We online day and night, collect candle here and there, just to became an ikemen. But now that we become one. We get happy for it for temporary of time, then it feels nothing anymore

I’m no veteran (only played for a year) but I’m the type of person who isn’t a huge game person and sky is what’s perfect for me. Yes it has challenges but also a relaxing and calming environment. plus the friends I make is also what keeps me going~ it is also a game that I decided to play when I was at my lowest and it calmed me. ❤️

I think I won’t completely quit, but eventually I can see logging on only once every few days or just a short time every day. That seems like a nice way to play sky though, just log in when you feel like it

So relatable. I started playing at the end of Season of Lightseekers and since then I've played consistently (quite a long time!). Now I'm sitting at 300/400 candles and hearts, with nothing else to do, and most people in my friend constellation have stopped reciprocating my daily light, probably gone inactive. I've slowly started forgetting to log in and missing more and more daily quests. Season of Assembly was my first season I could not buy all free nodes in time :( But while my experience in the game has gone stale, I can always look back at my 500+ Sky screenshots and videos, memories of meeting and playing with other moths that I will always treasure :)

I am a veteran player. Reason I left was because all my friends started to leave and I ended up being alone. I check up on sky once in awhile but I’ve pretty much given up on the game and barely play.

I've been playing since last season of Gratitude. The reason I don't Quit from Sky is because that's where I can meet my family, It was very difficult for us to meet on IRL because of work problems. So our family decided to play Sky together to meet whenever we wanted, After all, Sky is also an online learning tool from my school. Yeah that's the reason why I didn't Quit from Sky. And most importantly, I met so many friends and that makes me happy😉💞✨

One of my favorite things about the game is that you can meet a variety of players of various nationalities, races, genders, and ages without having to talk to people directly with chat to communicate. Helps with my social anxiety.

sky is not just an adventure, collect game. it's a friend making device and people there are actually very nice to be friends with makes it better

I made a really good friend a few days after starting the game, we talk every day we have multiple games we play tgt, and somehow always manage to keep routines to do stuff tgt. Since she live in another country we try to find other ways to spend time tgt. We are watching the same netflix movies at the same time and talk about them. We play other online games tgt, etc. I will even visit her in real life next year! I have been playing for about 5 months now and this friendship really makes sky (and other friendships too)

Nowadays, there are some veteran players who played for a long time, quit because of the recurring bugs in this game. 🥺

Well, TGC needs to add more dinamism to the game. Is wonderful, when a new event comes to Sky, but the events only brings to you cosmetics that you will collect in the first day... And that's it?... But if they only added some kind of "mini games" during that events, and this could give you candles, hearts, and maybe another kind of "digital coin" (like candles) to collect another extra items, cosmetics, etc... Maybe that will keep interest on players to stay... IMO.

The dramatisation of drama/conflict 😂 love it. I think the new quests are helping

Things that kept me motivated: 1) im hella poor. I do daily runs until my chevrons run out, something i fail to do most of the time. 2) that one specific friend. I started as solo until i bumped into this moth and now we do runs together. 3) previous hiatus. I was forced to drop the game back when i just freshly got out of the moth clothes, and to see things that i couldve had but never did, both infuriates and motivates me. But that's all that ever is really. Once i finish all elder gifts, got most of the ts and my only friend finally dropping off the game, i guess its _adios_

I love sky, it’s the most beautiful game that I have played. But I have moved on with the same reasons as yours. I go back to sky occasionally but feel a little sad and nostalgic as it reminds me of the great times spending with friends I met in sky. They too, had moved on, and what’s left is just a fading memory.

If you quit, it would a very sad day. 😔 Such is fact, in Sky. 😑 .... But at least, friendships you made in Sky would last a lifetime.😊

I basically still stay for my friends and plus I love exploring over and over again, I admit I get tired from seeing the same thing but what keeps me is making my own stories about Sky, it’s pretty fun and I started to learn some oobs so I don’t get too bored.

i became a year old just recently (last month). i still enjoy the game a lot, but im starting to see how it turns different for me little by little. from my og group almost noone plays anymore except from a few who come once in a blue moon. ive never been good at farming, so im not rich (just hit 200 by the second time in my life pffthfh) and spend most of my time oobing and playing music. but im ngl what i miss the most is my og friends. its hard for me to make actual friendships in sky and most of the time im just doing dailies and wandering around. in fact, ive been able to farm that much because of my lone time pfahah, i dont like farming with people im not close to because i get socially anxious and since it seems to be a common way of socialization in sky i usually dont play much with others who cr a lot, or im afraid of tping to someone and being asked "wanna cr?". i really enjoy solitude, but sometimes miss some adventures with loved ones. thats why im slowly opening to new friendships, usually people i meet outside of the game that also play, so i can build a friendship with meaningful chats and a different interaction than spamming emotes and candle running. just yesterday i was bored and sad (another of my friends left recently), but still encouraged myself to tp to one of this new friends (who is a pre registration veteran), and without me even asking she took me to an amazing oob i had never seen before. and i was amazed by how infinite the possibilities are. ive never really thought of leaving sky or taking a hiatus, but i sure felt how uninteresting everything looked to me at some point. still in there, someone whos been playing twice the time as myself helped me feel amazed by this day by day environment. and i hope everyone whos feeling lonely or bored can open their hearts to new perspectives, as they make everything feel surprising again. and that can apply to irl too! connect, and make things happen. its really worth the time, and the effort to make a step.

I started play at season of assembly and I met this one Japanese player when I was a moth. They could understand a little bit of English. (Enough to talk to each other) And they made me really happy and practically helped me through sky. They started becoming less active but they still come on sometimes and light me. One day, I hope to go on the same day they're on.

I think this is why me and my cousin said that "when we should not complete every constellation until you really wanted to quit." But my cousin quitted (i think) and she did not complete the constellation ;-;

I've played everyday since enchantment and I started in gratitude- sky is simply a peaceful and enjoyable part of my routine. I'm a solo player and it's when I see vids like this I'm glad freinds are not one of those things that determines whether I play a game or not.

I played sky last year, but IDK when I'm gonna quit😔 At least I won't, cos I have amazing friends to chat & play with. And I always love dressing up my sky kid and draw fanarts & OCs💜 There will be a time when other players will come back soon💕

I'm not really a veteran, I've been playing for about 8 months; but I get that feeling of sometimes being really tired of sky. The friends I made early on and played with everyday for months are now creating a lot of drama for nothing and fighting with one another and it's just so tiring.. Also I sometimes get tired of candle running but it somehow feels like I have nothing else to do. I'm not good at making friends so I can't just change friend group. But what I did is that I decided to take a break, and one morning I felt like playing sky again; and I felt what I felt when I discovered the game for the first time. That's what I always tell to people who feel burned out in games; you can take a break. It's okay if you miss out on a couple of seasonal items

I have this one friend that doesnt even play sky any more i think she quitted well me and my other friends still play i think one of my friends have played sky when it was journy still idk but she had a lot of emotes im that one person that is still trying to not be scard of krills i tryed to be brave and i did it onec then i got krilled ;w; but im happy that you didnt quit :) ♡₩♡

I started playing at the end of April and i have basically played through the main game. I havent bothered collecting the final spirits because they have only worthless cosmetics as prizes. I am almost at 11 cape points and that’s what is only motivating me. Probably once I have 11 lights on my cape there is nothing to thrive for anymore. Th discoveries were beautiful and amazing. What is left is just cosmetics grinds. I make and have made friends along the way but i don’t find just chatting any worth. Sadly developing new areas and aspects that make gameplay more fun is not something that gives instant money to the developers. But cosmetics do. So it is like a vicious cycle.

I thought of quitting too because I was alone and I barely passed the stage of a moth and neither the sky kids or moths wanted to befriend me. Then I met a Chinese player and helped me go through Eden for the first time. They pretty much helped me get better at the game

yesterday i met a veteran and he looked so cool :0 so i spent almost one hour spamming emotes and playing the harp with him it was very cool but i didn’t befriended him so i’m kinda sad now :/

I feel like the main reason new people quit after beating the main story is because of how expensive the cosmetics are, at least, that's why I quit

Seasons and the stories honestly keep me going, season of the little prince was such an amazing season that I'm just invested in the game now

Yes i'm thinking the same last travelling spirits i already have them, repeated game it can be boring if there is no friend to distract and play with you, and friends are quitting i have less and less light in constellations. Once i hade a heart in two days thanks to friends and now in two weeks 😥

My best friend recommended me this game a long time ago and I am glad I started playing it. Not only did I make new friends but I actually got into a relationship xD When i was a moth I was basically kidnapoed by an Ikemen but he was cute! We spammed each other with kisses, started chatting, played different games together and met finally in real life. We could't be happier, I am glad I installed this game, I don't think I'll ever quit !

With the reason “found new games to play” genshin took a bunch of sky players and others from other games too including me, but I’ve still found time to commit to both apps and hang out with friends ~ I’m not gonna quite any games anytime soon haha

Ive been playing for 3months now,,, im a solo player, Sky is my only refuge when im stress with work and with everything going on IRL .... Though doing candle run is kinda boring and quests are repetitive .... I was also thinking of quiting coz im always tempt to buy IAPs but then i imagined if i stop playing sky where will i be, where should i escape to.... There's something in Sky that give me a certain feeling i cant describe ...

Another thing that keeps me going are the moths and other wack players I met in game 🥺 the moths are especially cute and I would like to see them grow. But I mostly get on for the dailies or have it as an ambience while I do my school work.

Drama/conflicts is what makes me want to quit sky, like i have this friend but she's began to be toxic and used me for her own good.. Once i cut off and block all of her accounts, she spreading false rumors and all, making my reputation goes down but glad some still wants to hear from my story even though its not many.

As a retired veteran player, life just got too busy for me to keep coming to the game. Plus most of the people I played with left the game. I still log in but it’s not daily like I use to.

It always breaks my heart seeing my favourite sky youtubers feeling this way. But I'm too socially awkward to be like "oh hey maybe we should friend each other if you're feeling sad" but then I realise I'm a switch player and sky kid which uhhhh-- a lot of players make fun of me for. But I'm glad you have friends to keep yourself happy David. Know your community will always be here for you

i started back in season of gratitude but stopped when rhythm started again. it got boring real quick when all there is to do is repeat the same old candle run, wl run,losing wl, getting reborn. i would get back into the game every once in a while for about a few days each time before stopping again. hope devs do something about the repetitiveness

I've been playing since the end of Sanctuary. September 17th, to be exact, my friend introduced me to the game and it became my way of seeing and visiting my online/overseas friends 'in person', especially with the emote functions and ability to customise your sky kid. 😭 this game means a ton to me, even if I'm a veteran now and I've pretty much achieved most of the things I want to except for past season items/TS things I don't think I'll stop playing until my flock disbands.

1 reason is so true.. most of my friends have stopped playing and I am practically the only one collecting candles, I miss them : '). I don’t know what keeps me here. this is a very special game with an amazing atmosphere and community. Some time ago I took a break from the game. I don't know why, but the desire to return to the game appeared unexpectedly.. And now I began to spend more time there. Even if my special friend (who told me about this wonderful game and taught me everything) won't back in the game anymore I still can be there. Sky is basically for those who want to spend time together(friends, classmates, family, etc.) and explore a wonderful world of this game. As a solo player, yeh, you won't get a full pleasant time in Sky which leads you to quit it after 6-7 months. About friends we made while playing, I can say that we all are busy bees and have our stuffs. So there is a period when we quit playing for a veeery long time(I quitted for 6 months tho, cuz of my study). And it's the same for everyone. Dunno depend on one partically thing, have fun with playing and exploring new things for yourself. If it's hard, practice till it will be easy, but don't pressure yourself if you don't feel happy from that. It's ok to quit Sky if you want to, just society need to know the meaning of "respecting".

actually I know this game when it was first released on the play store of my country and unfortunately at that time my handphone was not compatible with this game, and I was only able to play it about a month ago, I have a little regret "if only I could play this game from the first release" but now I'm still struggling collect cosmetics from every spirit and whatnot, i also often finish eden's eye and i also play lol : wild rift wanna play together ?

I've been playing for a little over a year now and I'm still going. But I have thought about quitting multiple times now. The primary reason being TGC making unnecessary changes to the game constantly that doesn't improve the overall gameplay and are also annoying to adapt to. A lot of other games that I play also do that I genuinely don't understand why like who tf would think that changing the ui layout every month is a good idea🙄

I often keep uninstalling then install in Sky again multiple times all because of new content and ts but even if I come back for them I never candle run anymore

Sky was the only few games i actually got addicted to, and all my friends in the constellation are just random acquaintances i have so that i can atleast get 1 or 2 hearts a day just from constellation I usually play with my boyfriend and cousin, bf usually helps while my cousin goes afk a lot(the friends i have don't play sky qwq) I play Genshin and Food fantasy, i only come online in sky nowadays to grind 15 candles a day, started in dreams and still going strong(i feel like im becoming a veteran)

One of my moth parents quit at the beginning of little prince. I wanted to surprise them with a pass for the season and it just stares at me everyday. They might be coming back. Just sads. I've been playing since early April of 2020 and here i am in 2021 still playing, knows where everything is, teaching my own friends how to play, i get called a vet but even my friends don't play as much anymore, i agree it dies get boring bc I've played it so much, honestly im only really staying for the seasons

I think the only way the team could save Sky is by adding in a new realm. I’m thinking probably a canyon themed realm, or maybe a meadow of sorts, or even a set of mountains and ruins? That’d be cool! There would also be so much more room for more seasons to come and even the potential for events, and all new places for candles to be harvested in, and spirits? Cosmetics? Reactions? Elders? Gimme gimme gimme!

I've been starting to quit sky because its tiring, all of these candle runnings are stressing me out and also traveling spirits, i cant just do candle run every reset, and also i have many constellations i need to complete but its just so hard, but im not quitting yet because my sister needs to play sky with me :')

For me, I really didn't quit sky, it's more of a no choice one. My problem was storage space that's why I couldn't play sky anymore. To my friends in sky I miss you guys! I will comeback someday, but as a moth, since I might not be able to recover my account

It's kinda sad that sky is repetitive. I play since mid season of dreams, somewhat around February and even I have days where I cannot be bothered playing sky because it's so repetitive and two of my best friends don't play rn. It gets boring. But I still love the game

I think they should add more worlds,even if they dont have candles or anything. I want new places to visit,to have fun. Maybe those places could get more constellations! So veterans have more to unlock

There is also a very big reason, if someones device broke, and they got a new one, in most cases the new device may not be compatible with Sky, like, literally, im a Sky veteran but i forcefully quitted because 2 of my devices aren't compaible with Sky, also many of my friends cannot play Sky because of that problem

I joined Sky when Switch came out and i honestly didnt think about one of these and thats Drama. Like how does Drama in Sky exist? Like i'd imagine its probably friend group drama? Or maybe one friend doesnt like the other friend and they dont have much connections together just theough you is the only reason they are near eachother. But honestly the fact that its a GAME like how bad can the drama truly be? you know. Maybe i try to be too nice on the internet/video games i dont know, seems foreign to me to just not be nice.
