I have to thank my friend for playing Gary Numan all the time when coming home from work.. Exile is a great album.... Thanks David King I still listen to him.
First heard 'Cars' at the very end of 1979 on the radio aged 13. Mid 80s and Im off to see Gary Numan on the Berserker tour in my late teens.... and here we are in 2022, Im now aged 54 and Im off to see him again in May. Gary Numan is a genius and musical legend.
I’ve been lucky to meet Gary (and his family several times. He is a great guy. I was also lucky to be invited to his Rock City recording studio for an evening back in the 80’s, (long story) where he was working on his new album which I think was “Dance.” Strangely, I bought my 1st house in Essex, England and found out he had moved house and was living few miles away. I now live in Scotland and again he has bought a home nearby. How weird!
I’m from Australia and I’ve only just rediscovered Gary Numan too! Please listen to Down in the Park live Brixton Academy awesome plus M.E. Live Moscham, also It all began with you, a song about his wife! I really love your reactions, Gary Numan bought me to you guys! Be great to hear your reactions to Depeche Mode songs. Also other Australian bands like Icehouse, INXS, The Church. Love how you are into The Divinyls too 😊🎶 🇦🇺
What I love about your videos, is the quality and depth of the sound production of the video. Also love your humour and passion for music. Oh....and I also love you both 😁💝
Cool review as always. Check out Gary's ' A Prayer for the Unborn ' if you get the chance, especially some of the great live versions, such as the ARTE & KEXP slots
Hope you guys go and see Gary Numan on the 2022 North American tour.Perhaps do a video of your experiencies at the gig...that would be most interesting. Loving the channel.Peace and love.!
If you ever want to hear something very different from Gary, from this past year, here is a link to some 'acoustic and intimate' songs with him and the guys from the band - filmed in the sitting room of his holiday home in The Cotswolds during the isolation period they had to spend together before performing a couple of one-off festival shows: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2pOhGTaEx_0.html
I mentioned on your live broadcast the other Saturday that Lucy Thomas had just released a cover of Aerosmiths I don't want to miss a thing and you said you'd be reacting to it, before you do, try the newest one she's done which is a duet with her younger sister Martha singing Oh Holy Night.
Gary has 3 children (3 girls - Raven, Persia and Echo) and they appear in a track of his Love, Hurt, Bleed (2013) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-46kXvXV42Qk.html Also Persia has a prominent singing role on My Name Is Ruin (2017) (this will be your new favourite G, I bet!) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lHomCiPFknY.html Lots of crunchy synths in both of these G!
I strongly recommend you check out the video for "Healing" - it's the first work he did with his now-producer Ade Fenton (who''s in the video but it's all Numan vocals). It's everything you love about Numan's new sound, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hIVImVhVoDY.html
Being Gary Numan fans you should take a listen to the artist Poppy and her redo of his song Metal. She is also a big fan of Gary Numan. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7PbZKEE6DwU.html
