Dragons Dogma reminds me greatly of dark souls 2. Loved them both for similar reasons. Fashion, combat, easy by fun bosses, exploration/adventure. And chock-full of unique ideas that usually work pretty well. Also I am so dissapointed that I didn't find dragons Dogma much earlier since ever since I played skyrim I was wishing for "Skyrim but with good combat" and it turns out it was there all along in the form of DDogma.

Played DD1. Loved it and can not wait for 2. Just looks like they improved on everything from 1. it looks incredible.

It’s been a while since I played the first one, but I remember during that experience how much I enjoyed the immersive style and mechanics that really made for some very interesting exploration and especially combat. It was wild to me being able to not only an enemy monster, but also jump onto them, and Climb around and pull out a dagger and stab them directly in the head or whatever. Being able to attack body parts and see appropriate feedback to just give the combat that much more weight. I don’t remember too much about the original story beyond the major highlights but I remember I enjoyed it very much, and again, especially in regards to the immersive nature of the world and interactions with it . I’ve seen about this sequel has reaffirmed, not only maintaining those original foundations and successes, but also building upon them with newer innovations or depth. I especially liked seeing the information in regards to the worlds characters or companions and the depth added to the interaction or potential relationships there. I love the aesthetic looks of the combat with the different vocations and styles, and even some blending with certain aspects. I’m definitely going to be going as a sorcerer for the first time around. 😉 The sequel speaks to honestly just giving so much more authentic depth to the original identity of the first game. Having it set in a different timeline I think was a clever idea as it allows you to take that original identity, but then expound upon it in ways that you couldn’t years and years and years ago. Making better use of what you’re capable of through today’s technology and allotted resources around that. Development really does speak to a very authentic, genuine, immersive experience. One that you can sink a lot of time into, and that is very enjoyable and transport in that sense. Believability is key in regards to accomplishing that, and not being afraid to realize that authenticity for the sake of that believability A.k.a. an unapologetic approach. I I am looking forward to this game/experience and I hope that they maintain that authentic endeavor. I haven’t seen anything to indicate differently, but sometimes you just have to wait and see how these things go😉🤞 I also look forward to seeing how you cover this game in the future as well. Excited for the potential dragons dogma two holds especially coming off the success of their priorities in the first one.

The fact Pawns learn stuff from other people's playthroughs is the craziest thing to me. I always wondered why my main pawn was more knowledgeable one night i came home lmao

I am old and patient. I like walking the land and exploring every nook and cranny. I beat Lords Of The Fallen 3 times, and started replaying Dark Souls 3 to fill the void-ordered my copy and can’t wait!!!!

I've never played the first one but I'm excited to play this one. The first one has been a game I've been meaning to play for years now but have never gotten around to it

The only negative thing I can say about Dragon's Dogma 1 is the lack of compelling well-written characters that you can meet in the game, especially when compared to Cyberpunk 2077 or Witcher 3. I'm really hoping they improved that in the sequel. Gameplay-wise, if what you're looking for is a fantasy adventure, Dragon's Dogma 1 can really scratch that itch, and I'm sure Dragon's Dogma 2 would even be better. In Dragon's Dogma 1, when it's night time, it's really dark so you'll have to carry a torch for visibility, and out of the darkness, a monster can just appear suddenly, which really heighten the sense of adventure. The AI in 1 is really good too. You'll have enemies who will target your healer. I also love that it's hard to save-scum in this game because there's only one save file and the autosave, which I think you can't turn off, will overwrite your save game, so your actions are really high stakes. There's so much good things I can say about Dragon's Dogma 1. I really hope they kept the good things from 1 in 2 and improved on what was lacking, like I said, the well-written characters that you can meet and interact with.

I'm burned out on souls games. I'm looking forward to DD2.

The whole point of the game is explore the world. People hate the different fast travel system but it still exist you just have to find areas in the world and set up points to fast travel yourself. Way more immersive

I just checked the PS plus subscription and I have dragon dogma 2 dark resin on it so I decided to download the game so this way I can play it and get a feel before I dragon dogma 2 comes out

If you're friends with another player Pawns are free to rent/ borrow. DDA was one of the greatest games from the end of the xbox 360 Era. My Pawn "Chiami" should still be on the server, Max level 200 with 100% Knowledge all quest & enemies.

I wonder if this game is for me or not. The gameplays really excited me, but on the other side I don't like monster hunter and get bored really quickly. But the fact dragon's dogma 2 is open world and the world seems fun to explore makes me interested, but I'm worried I'm going to get tired of it quickly if your character is already maxed out after only 10/15 hours and the rest of the game is just about killing monsters without any goals or progression for your character

I don't care about fast travel, if there is no fast there is no problem but I mean, the game gives u at least a horse to explore the MASSIVE open world? Cause they said it's supposed to be almost 3 times bigger than the first dragon dogma map

I don’t know why people keep bringing up lack of fast travel as a negative. Minimal fast travel is just part of the game, imo I think it’s fine because it’s different than most rpgs.

My only hesitation with this game is the first one left a bad taste in my mouth with the way they handled dungeons making it where there were a few small dungeons to explore until the dlc dark arisen making one massive dungeon to play! If they make part 2 with more caverns and dungeons to explore I’ll buy day one! If not I’ll wait for there dark arisen pt2 😂

I always feel bad for the "monsters" in these games... Like imagine you're just chilling on your afternoon walk contemplating life and four tiny a**holes just run up and start stabbing you because you're big and ugly to them lol
