I know I love how they made Sam a really good dog but I hate that she had to die though German shepherds aren’t my favorite dog it was a good movie though it kind of reminds me of World war Z a bit
peter gresh it was quite adorable how a dog could fulfill a purpose like that but I mean man’s best friends are dogs they were wolves at first which was really cool how a wild wolf could actually trust a human but mostly I’m part Indian and I actually think that dogs have a bit of wolf in them even though they’re DNA might not show it it’s in them
People don’t realize. She straight up killed one by herself no help. Sam was an absolute unit and i actually cried when she went. It’s the cliche “cry when the animal dies” but this movie did it so well.
Yeah I guess she got lucky there though probably with one good bite at the throat taking advantage of the other dog having no furr to protect him, cause those dogs were way more powerful than normal ones and their hunger was making them even deadlier than rabid wolves.
Me too a huge cat tried to scratch my Blue it was harrasing him I told him to come on then it jumped on him I was like Nooo, he had a small cut near the end of his eye I got all worried and scared at least it wasn't serious but I still putted antibiotics on the eye to be safe
You know what's impressive about Sam saving Robert? That means she actually managed to kill the other dog first. It shows the previous dog lying dead because Sam took it out. Quite amazing
Sam was a badass, jumping straight in to protect Will from that first zombie dog that attacked and still holding his own even when the zombie dog gets the upperhand.
All these years have gone by since I first watched this in theaters and just now I realized Sam really did save his life because Sam actually killed the dog she was fighting, then with what little energy she had left she spent on getting the last dog off Will.
The worst thing you can do in a time like this, when your pet is dying or being to put to sleep is leave. The pet will be scared and looking for you and they would spend their last moments wondering where had you gone.
People don't stay with their pets when they're being put down? What? I was there for mine when she was dying of old of cancer that couldn't be treated, she died in my arms and I comforted her the whole time. Do people actually just dump their pets and leave them to it when they're being put down? If so, wtf.
It's crazy how the alpha was smart enough to not attack him after unleashing the infected dogs so that he could find out where he lives and reclaim his girl
No he couldn't come out still because they can only come out at night the dogs can come out before the darkseekers as it said in the newspaper dogs can come out at dusk
everytime i watch this film i hate this scene its such a good scene cause you know whats gonna happen yet u still try and hope they both get out of there.
You are completely wrong Sam didn't turn into a zombie his owner took him to a lab and held him until he died like an idiot and didn't freakin find anything to save him the owner squeezed Sam to death so your WRONGGGGG
Skylar fowler Nah man you wrong. You can latterly watch the next video and see that in the lab, you see when she turns into a zombie dog when he checks her gums and her eyes, then she tries to bite him but he just grabs her and chokes her and kills her because the "cure" he was working on didn't work you can no joke see how he tries to stop her from turning into a zombie dog. But dispite all his effort she still turns, giving him no choice but to kill her. So he was right.
Skylar Fowler also why would any owner squeeze his or her dog to death, I mean I know for fact I wouldn't do that. I fucking love my dog. like I don't know any one who would want to kill a dog. it just doesn't make sense for him to kill the dog like tf, that wouldn't have made sense. what would have, mad sense if he had to kill his own due to the fact that the dog was a zombie, and if he didn't kill her, she would have killed him.
@@2007ghettonissanaltima It's a movie. He never had a knife in his leg, he was never concussed and he was never dangling upside down for a long period. And it shows. He's obviously been directed to crawl at a certain pace so they can drag out the drama of the scene. Plus his acting doesn't match up with someone who couldn't move faster. He's alert, his voice is strong, he has no problem rolling over and he somehow gets up super quickly at :50. He looks like someone who could move a lot faster than he is, considering what his fate would be if he didn't move faster. And this is probably all down to how he was directed. The best actor in this scene is the dog.
I mean if I had a knife stuck in the leg, I would wanna take it slow not to hurt myself even more but Robert eventually realizes that he’s not gonna make it in time and he eventually picks up the pace.
Sam was one of those natural fighters that excel above others of its breed. She fought with and killed by herself an infected dog. Remember the vampires are faster and stronger than humans so it goes to say the dog would be too. After killing a vamp dog 1 on 1 she dove on another one. This part of the movie and what happens next actually gave me the lumpy throat feeling.
Yep, I am surprised that she (Sam) killed an infected dog. Badly hurt, she braved her pain and jumped on another infected dog. What an embodiment of bravery and loyalty.
When you realise that three dogs attacked, but we see only two attack Neville. Despite being bitten and infected, Sam actually managed to kill the third one off camera. Badass.
This scene is so perfectly tense and sad also a perfect example of how scary these vampires are. We need a sequel damn it!! Give me more of this world!
From what I've heard there were discussions about doing a sequel that was a prequel to the first film, like the outbreak of the virus and the plunging of the world into the post-virus apocalypse. THAT would be an incredible film I would camp out opening night to see!
NickFandom Productions I teared up a bit - until I realized that it was just a movie and how Sam will be receiving a lot of Bacon Bitz for this incredible role lol.
bro the fact she took out the one attacking her and also one banged the other one on Rob while hurt proves how loyle she was, broke me when she died man
my favourite part is when he calls her Samantha. The whole film you think it's a male dog but to hear her full name it really changes her overall presence. A protector.
I think y’all should remember she literally killed one of those mutant dogs by herself while he was dealing with the one that attacked him. Sam raw asf
I really feel sorry for Sam. It's shocking to know that when your dog dies, it's like a family member, or a friend, has passed. The relationship between humans and dogs is so strong, we've both became integrated with each other, having formed a strong bond of friendship. 😔
He could have gotten to the car much faster if he jumped on one foot since the begining and he could have simply injected HIS immune blood to Sam to prevent any casualties like this one.
Did you even watch the movie? He couldn't really walk at all. He got something through his leg and he also had been hanging so long that his legs were asleep, so it was difficult.
+Mae Louise i don't know if there was no blood inside his feet yet, but if he crawled so much just from the stab on his leg, it makes no sense... i mean yes he couldn't go for a walk in the park, but when he sees 3 mutant dogs in front of him, the adrenaline rush would make him run to his car and get out of there despite the pain
But if he had gotten to his feet from the beggining, knowing that his and Sam´s life were at stake, Sam wouldn´t have died. And I did watch the movie like 4 times now.
My son of 8 years old did not stop crying after he saw this scene. I had to tell him it was just a movie and that the actual dog was just fine. He later told me that it made him cry because he related the situation as if our labradoodle of 3 years old were in that situation. 🙁
Half the movies about zombies show them displaying some decent intelligence. The difference is not as all clear as some among the nerd community like to claim it is. And don't give us the crap about having the brainpower because knocking a guy in the head is the only way to take out a zombie in pretty much every incarnation. Also, don't try to pull a scientific spin on it: zombies have as much to do with science as vampires do. If your brain no longer functions, there is _no_ way for you to move the tiniest muscle within your body, let alone without any form of regular nourishment (I can't recall a single story in which zombies actually _need_ to eat in order to survive). It's just some fancy magic given a little make-over just to make it seem more plausible to modern audiences. When you're dead, you're simply *dead.* End of story.
yarpen26 Zombies don't need to feed but the virus activates the hypothalamus system(inside the brain)and leave it there so the hunger never stops no matter how much flesh it consumes by leaving the hypothalamus activated it deactivates all the memories and intelligence you might have and leave some basic needs which do not require intelligence making the body its vessel that will directly benefit the virus.Remember the zombie doesn't need to eat to survive but the virus itsef like every live organizms in planet need to spread and multiply and so does the virus. It makes the zombies bite people because it searches for host organizms to spread and thus preventing it's own extinction.
I told you not to put a scientific spin on it... it's like saying that viruses cause people to become vampires. If you have no heart, nothing is there to pump your blood so you can move in any way. Therefore the very idea of a zombie defies all logic.
It's so badass for Sam to fight the infected dogs to defend her owner, she survived the fight but sadly she got bitten and she's infected. When you have a close friendship with a dog, that dog will put their own life on the line to protect you.
Yeah this is probably the saddest scene in the whole movie she sacrificed her life to protect her owner... He had no choice but to end her life rather than have her transformed into another monster.
Yea didnt make sense why it couldnt just hold it in for half a sec. In a different scene earlier in the movie one of them even sticks their head out in the sun for like 5 seconds while holding in the pain. I guess the human versions are slightly less sensitive than the dogs
No, animals don't have an ability to reason. It's natural that animals act that way, they won't reason to understand that it's only little pain to "get over" their target.
SwornReaper Lol, animals reason. They have to have the ability to reason to survive. Here’s an example, a squirrel is digging up acorns and other nuts and someone walks along and scares the squirrel but before running away the squirrel put a couple of the nuts in its mouth. It realized it could take a couple of the nuts with it so it did and left others so it didn’t get caught.
@@slim7406 That's called instinct not reason. Leaving others was unintentional, it just grabbed what it could, that action to them was like stealing as it thought that it got caught. Squirrels steal each other acorns all the time, there is a BBC video showing they do it in fall.
@@SwornReaper That is very ignorant to think and very arrogant. Animals feel just how we do, they see the world in very similar ways to how we see it. What about this can we say "that dog is hungry" when it's eating, or "that dog is tired" when it's tired and "that dog is happy or having fun" when it's playing?
@@slim7406 I initially only talked about the ability of reasoning in animal behavior, it has nothing to do with feeling. Look, I'm not expert about this subject but everything I said here is true as science is. They can't reason because it has a lot to do with their brain, human can think and reason because our brain allows us to, they can think too but it's limited. I own 2 dogs, so I have some knowledge to understand them, dogs can't reason, it's hard fact and I wish that they could, they won't understand what and why it is bad or good, everything is because of us. Do they have feeling or not, it's yes and no, it's debatable, I know that they can feel pain, just like most animals do.
Heck! I love the details in this movie so much! For example, a newspaper with a warning and a photo "infected dogs can go out at dusk." This is the moment when people were alive and watching what was happening. Words cannot convey how atmospheric it is,
best apocalyptic movies ever! Will Smith was amazing in his role as Robert Nevile and the movie itself is very accurate. Marvelous work done by everyone that took part in the film - hope there's a sequel.
