Yes!!!! This is very awesome show of update. David Vincent and crew. Still crushing all the early clasicks as better in ever!!! This is the Lion's Den!!!!
Thats the thing about Pete, talk about an irreplaceable bloke, bigtime. Out off many death metal drummers he s one of the few that has his own voice behind the kit, he s done it all, he s got nothing to prove to nobody at this point of his career, yet here he is bringing the house down as usual.
As someone who listened to Morbid Angel and read David Vincent's novel, I have never thought that Pete Sandoval has returned. In Evil D's own words in his novel, he said Pete was done playing drum because of his back pain and now, he has come back. Pete Sandoval is a machine and is, arguably, the best drummer in death metal. Killer show, BTW! \m/
I don't give a f..k about Vincent, but the fact that he pair up with Pete is one of the best things to ever happen. Now he just need trey and we have morbid angel going again, for whatever may happen. BTW Pete was playing after recovering of his back problem, so just that.
@@matthewmcgreevy7270 The fact of the matter is that Trey seems too unbalanced on live shows now days and certainly no eager to make another record with Morbid angel when at the same time Vincent is doing great onstage and Vltimas is putting out great records
This awesome! The whole band are perfect and sound incredible. Pete's drumming just brings it all back together. Hope this line up do a proper Morbid Angel esq album!
18-10-2022 I AM MORBID, the band featuring former MORBID ANGEL members David Vincent (bass, vocals) and Pedro “Pete” Sandoval (drums), has parted ways with guitarist Kelly McLauchlin (POSSESSED, DIABOLIC, UNHOLY GHOST) and has replaced him with Richie Brown (EXMORTUS, THE ABSENCE, TRIVIUM). Brown made his live debut with I AM MORBID, which also includes guitarist Bill Hudson (NORTHTALE, DORO
He s My hero, this gig s vocals are a ridiculous statement on how influential his style truly was til now after decades. His Vltimas work is peak!!! I ve battled several times with Tucker fans as myself who bring to the convo illud divinum insanus and Vincent s non extreme metal career as if that bad MA record aint got really good proper death metal tracks (Existo Vulgore, Nevermore, Blades for Baal), and having a country career is a horrible and hideus endeavor. Even David s live rendition of Bil Ur Sag was every bit as brutal as Tuckers at some point. Talent s really a thing David sure has at the end off the day. And while Steve s a class full fleshed out brutal demon off a singer. Dave s singing gift makes him stand out til this day. I guess many ppl can't take the phucking L and are just apprehensive as phuck with this true metal and what not.
Such a badass gig from I Am Morbid at Hellsinki Metal Festival... For me, it was one of the most anticipated gigs at the festival for sure. Vincent & co. truly delivered! 🤘
First Morbid Angel I ever heard was when I bought Blessed are the sick on casette in 93 and played the opening track Fall from grace... I never heard such beautiful blast beats at that speed and clarity before, my jaw dropped.
Same reaction 2 years ealier !!! my friend had a very good quality sound equipement ! It was amazing how powerfull that bast beat was ...very good memories🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
metal is becoming music for older guys.. in France in last hellfest, you barely see people under 30 years old.. same thing in last slipknot show in paris , 30 years old people are the youngest. in France, 85% of music streaming is Fu$$$ hip hot shit unfortunately...I have profesional friend in french rock band, when they put a drums on stage, he told me kids dunno even what it is....@@commentarywiseisbias

I was there at this show and saw him in the moshpit. He was drunk as shit)
I was here, mostly in the pit. This was the second best performance on this festifal, only slighty losing to Sodom on the previous day. Sodom's pit was astonishing.
I was at the show. It was mind-blowing, a really killer show. I saw Morbid Angel on the Altars Of Madness tour. And have watched some Morbid Angel never live clips her on RU-vid. And I have to say I Am Morbid is more Morbid Angel than Morbid Angel is today. Well you have the original singer Dave Vincent and drummer Commando Sandoval. I say no more...
it would mostly sound like that funny gothic outfit his former wife ran mixed with unimaginative blatant "macbeth"-era laibach ripoffs and maybe one or two death metal country songs about beauty who lives in caesar's palace meeting the beast whilst drinking with the devil. and none of the likes of "lion's den", "suffocation", "visions from the dark side" or "damnation".
@@petehilario3292 Morbid Angel parted ways with Pete when he told them about going christian. David Vincent said in an interview that Pete and MA are not compatible because of that.
BEST LINEUP since Rutan I'd say. Great to see the beast Sandoval behind the kit. I believe David Vincent doing this project is the best music that Morbid Angel ever released anyways and I hope they never stop.
Fuck yeah dude, I also got to see them on both those tours, they even brought Napalm Death as support on the Blessed concert in Oslo. That was one epic night!
First time I saw ‘em was in 94 on Covenant at a small Iowa club for $12. I couldn’t believe it was that cheap, but Death Metal was still WAY outside the public awareness then especially in Fn Iowa hahaha. There were maybe 30 people there and they still destroyed. I took so much away from that show… and then having played with Steve in Warfather 20 years later, I can say MA changed my life lol
Big fucking thanks really appreciated to see that old skooler thrashing out the place damn that intensity was missing mee commando rules bft video dude awesome show
Dave y Pete fueron parte de muchos años de laejor banda de death y a mi me gusta las dos partes como está banda nueva y los morbid angel con Steve Tucker
Better than the other MA imo 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Vincent & Sandoval can’t be replaced they make the MA sound what it is/was and try as Trey does he just doesn’t capture this feel as these 2 do! This set list puts Treys MA to shame all killers no fillers 🤘🏻
I hear ya but man I don't Trey is even gonna be around much longer. He looked like hammered hell by the end of the last tour he was on. Some say alcoholism, addiction or something else but truth be told he could barely stand up some shows
Saw this show few years ago in a small as hell club with about 50 people…great experience having the band stand right in front of you playing all these classics..David is a death metal legend
This is fifty percent the classic lineup and seventy five percent the classic morbid angel sound because it's the bass the vocals the drums plus two great guitar players and now that trey is collapsing onstage this is as close to morbid angel we can get.
@@commentarywiseisbias Trey can't stop drinking. Dude has a serious alcohol problem and a back problem. He was an absolute mess on the last Morbid Angel US tour. Played totally sloppy and collapsed on stage twice.
@@MoveitorLoseit2 Trey needs rest and probably come back again after some time. I wouldn't mind if Trey sat on a chair like Robert Fripp and played death metal.
@@commentarywiseisbias I highly recommend reading David Vincent's novel, I AM MORBID, if you are interested. Not many details but the truth of Evil D's partnership with Trey Azagthoth is there.
