The grandparents showing up at 1:30 am and with their dog with no room is literally how it was irl with my parents when I had my first baby. 😂 So much chaos!
I had my grandparents and my mum in my house at 3am when I was in labour with my youngest 😂 my grandparents were there to watch our oldest (who wasn’t quite 2 at the time lol), and my mum was there to take my to the hospital… but then they proceeded to chat for ages before us leaving. It ended up I actually gave birth 10 minutes after arriving at the hospital because they chatted for so long, and then my mum took a wrong turn on the way to the hospital 🤣🤣🤣 chaos indeed lmao 😂
I know this is an old comment, but, apparently when my mum was in labour with me my parents got lost driving around London at 3am and then my dad said, “I just don’t think I can get through this without a sandwich” and they took a DETOUR to go to like 3 different petrol stations until he found a sandwich he wanted. My mum was like 44 as well.
Their names definitely feel like there was an unexpected twin, a very long and specific name like Persephone paired with the short classic Rose 😂 Also I fully expected Dolores to just go and sleep in the double bed
I'm glad they didn't forget Kyle's skills when making such an iconic sim. Let's be honest, EA is great with aesthetics, but they forget the basics (Strangerville and Del Sol Valley homes, looking at you) so I was super surprised to see his knitting skills.
I know, like they fixed up the Goths a billion years later, but they never made Bella's favorite color red. When I was playing Dream Home Decorator, she literally told me she hates red. Her home and wardrobe must stress her out 24/7.
When my Sim had twins, I put their cribs/cots end to end and they babbled to each other and kept each other entertained!! They ended up teaching each other how to speak and I have to say the first word milestone is the cutest thing ever! Also I have twins IRL and twins in the Sims now feel every bit as chaotic as twins IRL 😂😂
The fact that they brought their dog 🤣🤣🤣 Monty is so wholesome in this episode! He came over and just went straight to it! He is taking his Grandfather duties seriously. I love him!
An example of not chill is when you wait too long to go and then it's a matter of rushing to the nearest available space for delivery while begging for an epidural that you can't have because it's go time!😂
"almost to an annoying amount" - this was exactly my experience. They were like well... go walk around the hospital for a while... then wait for a day in labor and delivery... and then finally your baby will come. It's like the most life changing thing for you but for them its just another day at work.
@@cerealsimmer omg lol. I couldn’t imagine. Mine was being moved into different positions for hours trying to get my water to break on it’s own(which it never did) while being 10 cm the whole time.
@@girlwithakite same here! Waltzed in very chill, carrying my bags and talking about the delicious sandwich i just had 😂 the rushing was for an emergency c-section, as well
When I went into labor, my husband was sleeping and asked if he could sleep for another hour before we went to the hospital. And we did. 🤣 Total labor was 14 hours, so yeah, depending on the sitch, there's not usually a rush. But in certain situations, you gotta get that momma in there!
My sim had twins recently and OH these infants bring such a new gameplay to the game itself . I found myself becoming more stressed out taking care of the infants and my sims where extremely sleep deprived and had no time for anything - it’s so realistic to new parents . I also noticed my twins looked identical !! Never in my sims 4 gaming history have my twins looked identical or super alike without me editing them I really love the realism in this new update
It was strangely calm when I had both my babies. Just felt like bad period cramps, and I could walk fine but they make you sit in a wheelchair anyway when they take you to your room. You honestly probably could read a book because it’s a lot of waiting! Plus if you get an epidural you literally feel nothing when it is time to push. I lucked out both times though, I have heard some horror stories!
I love how chaotic Deli is in game plays 😂 if the plan for the stream with James is still up, I can't wait for it and for them dealing with little money, babies and a dog baby all at once😂
I absolutely love that you picked Persephone as her name! I study classics in university and one of my focuses is on the mysteries of Eleusis (cult of Demeter and Persephone). So funny that she keeps popping up in my everyday life.
I wonder if you can ask sims from different households to stay over at the same time? It would be fun to be able to have big family gatherings with several households for a few days, let's say during christmas for instance!
@@Kate09090 You can! :D If you go to the calendar and click the plus on "Stay Over" it'll pull up a menu to choose Sims that your Sim knows, when they should come, and how many nights to stay for :)
@Karia Wow amazing! I am still waiting to buy the pack, I might even wait for sales, so i can't explore the features on my own yet. Thanks for your answer!
I have absolutely loved the new pack. I made a couple who had a daughter (now a child) and then TWIN girls. And oh my gosh, raising two infants and a child was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done in this game. The older kid got jealous when the parents paid attention to the infants, the mom barely slept with three kids to look after, the dad hardly had space to work (they could only afford Crick Cabana and it was very cramped!). It’s the most fun I’ve ever had playing the Sims 4. (I know this is unrelated to the video. Sorry, Deli, I’m at work right now but will watch as soon as I get home).
Persephone was abducted by Hades, and her mom, Demeter, Earth Goddess, was so sad that all the plants died and the world got cold (winter). Demeter demanded Persephone be returned. Hades eventually agreed to let her rest for half of every year, but then return to him for half. So when she’s home with mom, it’s summer/spring. Just fyi. 😊
Yeah Persephone is a time share baby whose mother is so toxic she can't live her own life or the planet will literally die. Nothing about her story is empowering. She it literally a hostage to a toxic parent. >_>
I don't like this version of the myth, it makes Hades out to be a bad guy for no good reason. I prefer the one where they fell in love and Demeter went just crazy mother and demanded her back.
@@bribri7978That version is from the 1980s. The original version (Yes, some myths do have traceable original versions) had Hades abduct Persephone. It's an ode to all Ancient Greek mothers who had their daughters married off in patriarchal societies, with the Hymn to Demeter being a story of triumph with Demeter being able to partially have her young, teenage daughter back
It was more an arranged marriage that Zeus turned his back on because Demeter got pissy and threatened to not do her job until her daughter was returned. And while Zeus was Persephone’s father he couldn’t force his sister to do her job so to ensure the survival of his play things he gave in.
I feel the title... and I'm not even a parent. 🤣 Love the surprise of the grandparents coming over... but is no one going to address they showed up at 1:30am in the morning?! Those grandparents were NOT waiting!
As someone who births really quickly my hospital experience was pretty hectic. I rushed to a hospital that was 20 mins away and when I got to the hospital my first baby took 10 mins to come out. My second baby literally came out with out me pushing (for real) everyone was scurrying and rushing around. I kinda envy the peaceful and calm labor stories sometimes but hey my babies came out quick and almost pain free so I have to thank them for that at least.
Hahaha, as someone who has had really long labors (my two induced ones were over 30 hours, and my spontaneous labor with my third was still 9 hours) I am kind of jealous of the super fast, dramatic birth stories 😆 ultimately I’m grateful mine are relatively chill and I know I don’t REALLY want to trade places with women whose births happen so fast they barely make it… but part of me still thinks it would be fun 😂😝
I love your user name bcuz I actually watch a YT channel of the name Oxhorn & his previous World of Warcraft channel was the first one I ever watched. His current channel started as Fallout (game) and evolved into playing many games, new and old.
I was terrified when my sim got pregnant with her toxic (now ex) boyfriend and became a single mom while trying to make money for a better house and teaching them their milestones. Thank god that didn't happen 😅😅
I have had 2 different sims in two different saves have twins on their first birth and it was chaos because one was my 100 baby challenge sim so she was trying to take care of two babies and then 2 infants on her own whilst having to have more babies, thus I have a three infant to one sim ratio rn 😂
Hey Deli, my first time playing with the new babies and then infants, I used the new science baby option, and I got twin girls. It has not been fun playing with them, trying to take care of all their needs. Even with help. They also had the Sunny and wiggly traits. It got a little easier but not by much when they were toddlers. Got charmer and independent traits then. I have finally aged them up to be children now so they can take care of their own needs. And their mum can have a break.
I love the little book under the wobbly table! Definitely Kyle’s level of Handiness there. 😂 is that an object in the pack or did you place the book there with moveobjects?
This is such a wholesome LP. I like how organic it feels, just going with the flow of the pack. A cute nickname for Persephone could be Persi (like Percy). The twins could be Persi and Rosie, which would be cute.
The absolute realism of some of this lol. I calmly walked into labor and delivery both times, the only rushing was an emergency c-section (everyone is fine!) And then the visitors is so spot on, they come over to "help" and you still end up doing all the work. Help means "ill hold the baby (or stare at it) while you do all your usual housework" 😅 Love this little family lp, the twins are so cute with all the new additions!
I haven't played with twins yet, but having one infant as a single mum is already bit of a challenge. I love it though. I was really happy to see that you can change the color of your baby carrier. I'm loving this pack- infants are so cute!
How chill things are when you head to the hospital in labor depends entirely on how far into the labor you are and if there are any apparent problems lol. All three of my hospital births WERE super chill (two were induced so I arrived before labor even started, and the third I labored for 6 hours at home before going to the hospital and still had three hours at the hospital before baby was born so I had plenty of time to settle in). However some women barely make it in time and are definitely not casually strolling in like that lol.
I’m so surprised that DD slept in the sleeping bag. I thought she’d be above that 😂 I have twins (real life twins) and your reaction is so real….lol Also all the diapers/nappies everywhere 😅
If you're interested Persephone's original name was Kore, it changed during the whole kidnapping incident, I think it would be so cute for the twins to be named after the two names of Persephone
My sims already had a teen and a child then, I decided hmmm why not have another baby and wam twins😂😂😂. It's a struggle but the milestones and animations have me obsessed.
I love, love, love the way you tell stories! 😁 I was laughing at all the little twists that you just rolled with. This is why we love your gameplay sooo much. 🥰
both times i went into labor, the experience driving to the hospital was calm but could feel the anxiety from my husband driving bc we just wanted a smooth, non congested ride there lol. But obvs you'd be prepared so its still exciting experience.
It was calm when I went to the hospital with both my pregnancies. First I got sent home to have a bath and something to eat. My second it was New Year’s Day. Very very very early hours so they let me stay. I just woddled down the corridors pulling my little suitcase behind me 😂. Never had drama like you see in the movies!
Hi Deli.. I would like to confirm the twins/ triplets thing.. my sim has had twins two times in a row since the update 😭. What a way to try out the infants 😅.
I’m glad it’s free now. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I’ve been but only played 3 hours last night after playing the series on and off for years. It may have its flaws and not be as good as some of the older ones, but I JUST hopped back in and didn’t realize this was brand new and I played for like 3 hours and have a surprisingly intricate story. I was surprised at how I had my hands full with a single dad and his infant and his roommate that didn’t start as his girlfriend. Turns out the roommate has been taking a HUGE brunt of it all lol. I had to actively make dad do more for HIS biological baby. It’s stressful in a funny way I didn’t expect it to be so real and for me to connect with my brand new goofy people so fast lol.
I was in labor from around 20:00 Thursday, got to the hospital around 06:30 Friday and gave birth around 21:00. There were not really any rush except for my epidural (because I was almost passing out from pain) and when my water broke - because it triggered the actual birth😆
Sometimes its super calm and other times you are being all but flown to the delivery room lol. My first two were super calm, my last one they nearly levitated me to the room.
The slumber party sleeping bags are so cute! At least the one for the toddlers, I'm not sure I checked the adult ones. The slumber party was glitchy for me before reloading (possibly a mod issue), but the froggy sleeping bag was worth it.
Oh nooo the twin infants alone are a nightmare 😂 I don't have growing together but I played with twin infants in my legacy family and both got the neglected trait when they aged up 😂 it was ROUGH
My second baby was a scheduled c section and it was really this calm. My first baby was an induction that led to an unscheduled c-section and that was chaos and wheely beds lol
i am a twin (boy and girl) and still we had to match. now we have matching socks, shirts, subtle things like that. we’ve learned how to make it bearable 😂
I’m currently playing with twins in growing together and they’re identical but Rose dresses in pink and Crimson wears deep red… been interesting finding outfits that have both red AND pink swatches 😹. Once they hit teens I think they’ll branch off more… picturing Rose as a more popular girly girl and Crimson is gonna be more of a rebel/computer programmer etc…
I ended my stay over after a couple days. The calendar showed them being there for like 5 days. They kept getting in the way of taking care of my baby. Had to reset one of them to get them to stop changing the diaper after the 10th time.
@Deli, keep an eye on the younger nannies, Idk if it's a glitch or what but on my game my SIM caught the nanny breast feeding the infant. So my SIM yelled at her then fired her. I'm just hoping that can be fixed cause that just doesn't seem right. Good Luck with the twins. I have twins in another SIM household and it's not easy. 😂 Thx for sharing. 👍☺👍🤗💛
My Sim hadn't even given birth yet and her Mom said they were coming to stay and help with the little one. I thought it was just going to be her Mom and Dad. Nope her 2 brothers and little sister came as well. Had to buy beds for them to sleep in. They stayed up all night and just kept eating.
Hey deli! For the problem with the bathroom door through bedroom you could maybe delete the wall underneath the stairs and put a door from the hallway into the bathroom. Maybe that helps 😊
To be honest Deli, new mums always struggle to cope being parents. Actually, parents even struggle to be a parent when we're well past our sell ny date 😂 xxx
